As a lifelong animal lover with more than 25 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, horses, emus, chickens, and even a feral cat colony, I understand that every animal deserves patience, compassion, and individualized care. Located on three beautiful acres in Aromas, California, my property offers a peaceful park-like setting with plenty of room to explore safely. Safety is my highest priority, and dogs are never left unattended outdoors. Every guest receives attentive supervision, plenty of exercise, and lots of affection throughout the day. Your dog's stay may include walks, nature hikes, supervised outdoor play, enrichment activities, cuddle time, and, for suitable dogs, adventures to local beaches and trails. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet place to relax, I tailor care to their individual personality and needs. Inside, dogs and cats enjoy a spacious 2,800-square-foot home where they are welcomed as members of the family. They can lounge on comfortable furniture, sleep on the bed if permitted by their owners, or rest in their own crate if that is their normal routine. I share my home with my gentle 11-year-old pit bull, who gets along well with dogs, cats, and the farm animals on the property. Because I value safety and positive experiences for every guest, I carefully evaluate compatibility and strive to create a calm, stress-free environment. When your dog or cat stays with me, they're not staying in a kennel—they're joining a home filled with love, experience, and genuine respect for animals. My goal is for both you and your dog to enjoy complete peace of mind, knowing your family member is safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your dog or cat. I also do ranch visits and have experience caring for goats, sheep, horses, chickens, and pigs. I'm semi-retired and take advantage of our beautiful central coast daily, either walking, hiking, or playing on the beach. We start our day in the morning with a nice sniff, play, or zoomie time on the property. After breakfast we'll do a walk on the beach, a hike (depending on your pet) or playtime on the property. My dog is getting older so he's usually good for about 3 miles and can't really do strenuous hikes. He loves the beach so we also take a late morning beach walk. Aromas also has a lovely dog park now, so if your pup is social that's a fun place to go. For more athletic dogs, there are some incredible hiking trails in this area. Afternoon chores start normally around 5, when I walk the property and feed and check on my goats and emus. This is more play time for your fur baby, as we watch the sunset and settle in for the night. Where does your pet sleep? They are welcome on the furniture or my bed. I also have extra dog beds for those pets who like their space. I have a completely fenced yard with plenty of space to roam. With the exception of a couple of 2-3 hour windows 2 to 3 days per week, your pet is never alone. I do have stairs so if your pet needs help going up and down, I will block the stairs so there are no accidents.

I will follow your detailed feeding & medication instructions to the letter! I have many years of experience successfully caring for pets. Your pet will play with their own fav toys & have unlimited potty breaks in fenced yard, as well as get treats along the way. ***Best times for drop-off/pick up & meet-and-greet: anytime after 4:30pm Mon-Fri, and anytime Sat/Sun*** You are encouraged to send your dog’s fav blanket, dog-bed, crate or whatever will help your pet feel comfortable. There is plenty of room here to set up even an XXl crate or dog bed. Or, your dog can sleep on the couch! Either way they will be comfortable. In winter - electric blanket available on low setting. Yard: Solid 6-ft fence = totally secure, fully fenced yard. House: doggy door leading to fenced back yard is available. Totally fenced dog-run on site for fetch, evening zoomies. Screened front door provides extra barrier to outside.

About: Patience is a quality of mine I have shown while caring for pets for the last 6 years. I respond very well in potentially stressful situations.
