“Mariana and her family provide safe and fun dog care - my doggo Annie loves them and gets excited every time i drop her off. They are professional and responsible and I can tell my dog is getting special attention each and every day.”
“Adelle and Kyle are wonderful! I really appreciate all the updates, photos, and asking questions to make sure that my Sammy got the care she needed and felt comfortable in their home. They were very attentive and loving, and their pup, Sandy, was a great new friend for my Sammy to hang with. Thank you so much, Adelle and Kyle! Looking forward to connecting with you again in the future :)”

“Kelsey was awesome with our puppy! She kept her busy and our pup was always happy and tired when I picked her up. Our pup was always so excited when she realized we arrived at Kelsey's place. Thank you, Kelsey!”

About: About our home & pack Hi, we’re Elise and Brad :) … dogs are our kids, and we keep things small so every pup gets real attention. We’re at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Ventura on an ~8,500 sq ft lot with a fully fenced yard—great for zoomies, fetch, and potty breaks. Brad and I own the house and rent bedrooms to long-term roommates — all of whom are working professionals in their thirties who love dogs. Two of us work from home and so our adult household means someone responsible is home 24/7, so pups are pretty much never left home alone. Our resident doodles are friendly, well-mannered playmates: • Joey (1.5yo 15 lb cockapoo): shy, sweet, loves chase games. He’s my soul dog. • Mia (1yo 39 lb goldendoodle): gentle, social, and very respectful of smaller dogs. She’s got sweet, protective mama energy. Safety & setup • Fully-fenced yard with easy, frequent potty access (sliding door open when we’re home). • We do have a pool, but it’s off-limits unless supervised. A retractable fence blocks access when needed, and there’s a surface alarm as a backup. • Dogs can be separated for meals or decompression anytime; we have plenty of space. Experience, seniors & care style Between Brad and I, we have 32 years of combined dog-owning experience (not counting caring for family pets as kids)… we’re lifelong poodle/doodle people. Brad handles our pups’ grooming at home (baths, trims, nails, ears), so just know we are big dog-people and super attentive. We’re very familiar with caring for dogs of all ages, including seniors who may need assistance. We also have plenty of experience with disabilities; one of our poodles became a tripod due to cancer… and we cherished him even more when that happened. A typical day Morning potty and light play in the fenced yard, breakfast per your schedule. Seniors get shorter, sniffy walks and extra nap time; playful guests get more fetch and yard time. With permission, we add a safe neighborhood walk and—occasionally— with your permission — an early-evening beach outing at C Street. Dinner, wind-down, and cozy sleep in our bedroom with us. Dogs are allowed on our furniture if that’s your style also. You’ll get daily photo updates so you’re never guessing. Good fit & requirements Friendly, house-trained dogs with no aggression history. Small–medium pups are our sweet spot; larger gentle dogs considered case-by-case. Seniors are absolutely welcome. Please have rabies vaccine and flea/tick prevention up to date, and bring food, leash/harness, meds, and a familiar bed/blanket. Logistics & options We’re flexible on pickup/drop-off—share your window. Meet & greets welcome. Optional extras upon request: extra neighborhood walk, beach trip to C street, light bath/brush, simple swim lessons (accompanied swim to find the steps and get out) I work from home so am around for any pet care needs throughout the day. Potty in the yard is available all day and I’m always keeping a watchful eye. :) Evening walks around our super-safe neighborhood after work, plus occasional trips to run on the beach (with your permission, of course). Dogs are our kids and we treat them as the treasures that they are. Our yard is fully-fenced in and front door/gate is always closed. We live at the end of a safe cul de sac on the east end of town where the sun usually shines. Pool is off-limits unless we are right there — it’s cordoned off with a retractable fence as needed plus a surface alarm (Bcone) as a backup. We also offer optional "find the steps" swim lessons, if that's of interest. :)
“Awesome experience! Cooper and Nora were a joy! They responded to our short notice daycare request and our experience was A+. Our pups enjoyed their stay and I could not be more please with the care and attention they both received while staying with Cooper and Nora.”
“Kay was a fantastic sitter. She was very kind and welcoming. We felt very confident in leaving our dog in her care. She sent adorable photos and her communication throughout the sit was great. We picked up a very happy dog who didn’t want to leave Kay. Would 100% use Kay again.”

“Leaving our little Cowboy (9 months old) with Sarah felt so easy and comfortable. We had a successful meet and greet with her and her dogs, then made our booking for day care that same week without thinking twice. I really appreciate her timeliness with communication, as well as the fact that she sends photos and updates. She also set up a sweet little gated area for Cowboy in her office—which I’m sure made him feel cozy and safe while she worked—and made it easy for her to keep an eye on him while he chewed on toys and had his snacks. They have a lovely home and backyard. Drop off and pick up were easy, and Cowboy seemed content and ready for a nap on his way home. We highly recommend Sarah!”

“Eileen was fantastic! I needed a last minute sitter during a trip to Ojai and she responded immediately to my late night request for next day dog boarding. Eileen was flexible and accommodating to make herself available at the time I needed to drop off Panda. My dog had a great day with the other dogs Eileen watches and came home a contented pup.”

“Jessica was amazing. We needed a place to leave our dog for the day and it was perfect. She responds immediately to texts and sends lots of photo and video updates. Our little dog was so tired after a fun day with Jessica and her family. 100% would book with Jessica if we are in town again.”

About: Honestly, I’m doing this just as much for my dog as for me! I have one small dog, Rue, who absolutely loves other dogs and lights up whenever she has a friend to play with. I’ve thought about getting her a sibling, but for now, I figured dog sitting is the perfect way to give her that companionship — and to help other dog parents at the same time. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, so caring for them feels natural to me. My home is full of love, playtime, and snuggles, and Rue and I both make sure every pup feels like part of the family while they’re here. Pet care is a big part of my everyday life! I walk my dog, Rue, three times a day, and she has access to the backyard whenever she wants to play or relax in the sun. My dog is my best friend, so she gets tons of love, attention, and snuggles — and any dog that stays with us will be treated the exact same way. Our days are filled with walks, playtime, and plenty of love. At my home, dogs have a safe and loving space to relax and play. I have a fully fenced yard where they can enjoy some outdoor time, and my dog, Rue, is super friendly and loves every person and pup she meets! Inside, dogs are welcome to make themselves at home — whether that means playing, lounging on the couch, or cuddling up for naps. I do have a crate available if your dog prefers one or needs it for comfort or safety, but my own dog no longer uses it since she’s fully potty trained. No matter what, I make sure every dog feels comfortable, cared for, and part of the family while they’re here.
“We were very happy with Hersh and his care for our small dog Sophie. Sophie was calm and relaxed when we picker her up unlike a previous stay at a kennel for small dogs. Hersh sent us a picture of Sophie relaxing on the couch and I could tell she was enjoying herself and was content. Good job. We would definitely use Hersh again if we are traveling in the area.”

“Sara saved our trip! We were camping in the area and planned a day out at the Channel Islands NP (not dog-friendly). Our original doggy sitter canceled on us two days before and we scrambled to find someone last minute. It was a blessing in disguise. Sara is the absolute sweetest! Communication was excellent. She updated us throughout the day with photos and kept our girl busy with playtime, a walk, and a hike. She was able to administer medication too. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you, Sara!”

“Briana was great and our dog loved staying in her beautiful house surrounded by gardens. Our dog was well taken care off. Taken on walks/hikes fed and felt safe. Briana communicated with me sending pictures and updates. We will definitely come back”

“Renee is a wonderful dog sitter! Bowie felt right at home with her and he was so happy when we picked him up. I will definitely recommend Renne to anyone who needs a sitter.”

“I cannot thoroughly explain how grateful I am that Lexie agreed to watch my boy for me; we had met with another sitter months in advance who agreed to our pick up and drop off times at the meet and greet, but decided to cancel on me a few hours before! Beyond flustered and upset I was panicking, but Lexie came to the rescue but not only that, she provided Oliver a safe place to interact with other dogs. 🥹🧡 She provided updates with pictures to let me know my baby was safe and being watched. if you’re looking for a sitter who is reliable and will love your dog like their own, I highly recommend Lexie. I will be using her again in the future.”

“My husband and I were visiting Ventura and in desperate need of a sitter for my dog. Chelsey was super professional, positive and very sweet. My baby was happy when I picked him up. I definitely will bring my dog back. Thank you Chelsey.”
