About: Lifetime of love and experience taking care of animals. From guinea pigs, birds and large tortoises to 100 lb dogs and many animals in between. I will provide a comfortable and safe family home, large fenced yard, two 30 minute walks/day, and infinite love. Don’t mind administering oral meds if needed. I work full time from home all days of the week/end and have a flexible schedule. Happy to provide morning and afternoon walks in a family friendly neighborhood. Your dog will get to stay in a loving family home and will have full access to large fenced yard with plenty of sunshine, grass and shade. About: Hi! I'm Jessica and I would love to offer your dog a home away from home with lots of love and exercise! I have always been a huge animal lover. Not only have I had pets my whole life and worked for numerous families and friends caring for their pets, but I have professional experience caring for all types of animals. A few of the organizations that I have volunteered for are the Humane Society, Santa Barbara Zoo, and the Santa Barbara Marine Mammal Center. That being said, if you have a critter other than a dog or cat and need a sitter for them, I can help so please reach out and we can discuss! My home is a few miles from the beach and I take dog walks there often. We go on outings to nearby dog-friendly parks (Camino Real and Arroyo Verde are the favorites) and absolutely love to go hiking in our beautiful mountains, so you can be confident that your dog will get some quality outdoors time, whether they need a long walk or a good game of fetch! I am more than happy to take energetic pooches to off-leash parks if the owner and I both feel comfortable with the dog's recall and safety. Between outings, your dog will have the house and yard available as well as lots of attention from our family which includes myself, my husband, our 2 young kids, and our playful 30 lb dog, Sombra. There is plenty of room to run around! We have a backyard that is fully fenced as well as an open space of the living room with a box full of dog toys that always ends up being the puppy play area :) I guarantee your dog will love their time staying in a house with a yard and the beach and park close by. I will treat your pup like my own with lots of love and follow any specific guidelines you have for your pet regarding diet, leashes, exercise needs, training, preferred sleeping arrangements, allowed on furniture, etc. I will also send updates and photos during your dog’s stay. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I look forward to hearing from you and to meeting your pup! I work part-time from home so your dog will get a lot of attention and exercise. Walks and park visits are a daily part of my routine as are playing fetch in the backyard. On the weekends I like to to take the dogs on other adventures such as on hikes or to the beach. Our backyard has a 6ft tall fence and is fully secure. For dogs that feel more comfortable having a crate available inside the home for resting or sleeping, you can bring your own or we can provide one.

I raised a 15-year-old Havanese from puppyhood through her senior years, and now share my life with Willow, my playful and social one-year-old cattle dog mix who absolutely loves having dog friends around. We live on a peaceful mountain property near Carpinteria with lots of outdoor space to explore. Our days are full but relaxed — usually a mix of time at home while I work on graduate school coursework, walks around the property, afternoon rest time, and beach outings or little adventures into town. I love matching each dog’s energy level — whether that means active hikes and play sessions or a slower-paced day with cozy naps and calm companionship. I’m currently in graduate school studying acupuncture, so I’m home most of the day and able to provide consistent supervision, attention, and care. I also love sending photo and video updates so you can see your pup enjoying their stay. I have experience with training and behavior work, including helping raise a previously reactive rescue dog. While I have that background, I’m currently focused on hosting dogs who are comfortable social playmates for Willow, so I’m not taking reactive dogs at this time. Our home also includes chickens (securely enclosed), and I’m happy to accommodate pickups or coordinate logistics to make things easy.
