“Highly recommend! She was punctual and very kind. She even sent me the cutest pics and videos of our pup while we were away. Definitely will hire her again ☺️”

“Grace was a great sitter! She kept our older dog on her normal schedule (something that’s important to me!), sent photos and updates, plus we came home to a clean house. It’s always a little nerve wracking leaving your pet, especially when you are out of the country for 2+ weeks but Grace made sure I felt comfortable before leaving and was easy to communicate with. I’ll absolutely have her come stay again if she’s available.”

About: What sets me apart is my patience and understanding of different pet personalities. I have a Frenchie of my own who definitely keeps me on my toes, so I truly understand that every dog has their quirks. I’ve learned how to stay calm, consistent, and loving even on the challenging days. Because of that, I’m especially attentive, patient, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, understood, and cared for. Pet care is already a consistent and meaningful part of my daily routine. I care for my own Frenchie every day, so feeding schedules, walks, playtime, training, and patience are second nature to me. I’m used to structuring my day around a dog’s needs, making sure they get attention, exercise, and consistency. Because of this, adding another pet into my routine feels natural, I’m already organized, dependable, and committed to giving animals the time and care they deserve. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow feeding schedules closely, provide plenty of fresh water, and make sure they get appropriate exercise, playtime, and rest. I’m attentive to their body language and energy levels so I can adjust care to their needs. For dog walking, I prioritize safety by using secure leashes and harnesses, choosing safe walking routes, and keeping a steady pace that fits the dog’s age and energy level. I always make sure pets return home calm, happy, and well cared for.

I have previous experience with senior pets, special needs pets, and animals with low socializing issues; however, I am not a trained nor certified trainer.

About: Pet sitting has been a passion of mine since middle school. 🐶I started helping friends and family care for their pets when I was 14, and over the years I’ve developed a special love for looking after senior pets. I understand that many animals have unique personalities, routines, or special needs that require extra patience and attention, and I’m always happy to accommodate those. 💖 My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet with the same respect, kindness, and love that I would want for my own. At the moment, I’m available for pet sitting on weekends only. 🐾 The pets that stay on Saturdays get to go for a hike with me 😎 I am currently available during the weekends. Feel free to check if we can work something out on the weekdays though, sometimes my partner is willing to help while I'm at work! :) I currently live in a town home with a fenced yard. I have a small dog to keep your pets company and play with. I will make sure to follow your instructions on how to care for them and make sure they have lots of love and comfort and playtime. :)
“Michelle was an exceptional house and dog sitter. She asked all the right questions to make sure she was prepared ahead of time, communicated quickly and clearly, sent in-depth updates every day, and took amazing care of Stella and our home. Highly recommend!”

“It was the first time using Erin and she was great. She was able to cover us over a holiday with short notice. She was professional and responsible and our pup seemed very happy when we returned.”

“Annie was amazing. Best dog/house sitter we have had! She took great care of the dogs and the house and gave us updates constantly. We can’t wait to have her back!”

“Casey was truly an outstanding dog sitter!! She stayed at my house and watched my sweet old girl. Casey sent me daily pictures of Remie and her adorable dog, Moose sun bathing outside or taking naps. She was so sweet to even wash the bed sheets for me as I was returning home pretty late in the evening. Remie looked like she had a really fun time with Casey & Moose. Would HIGHLY recommend & book again with Casey. Thank you so much!!”

About: I was raised on a ranch with various annimals and understand how to communicate with all animals. I currently am the mom to two herding dogs that I keep mentally and physically active. I’m 5’8 and strong so I can work with large breeds. My schedule is completely open. Ideally my working hours are between 7am and 8pm. I’m working to combine my love for hiking and walking with my love for animals and ensuring they have a happy and balanced life. I am available for hikes, walks, drop-ins and pet sitting at your home. I will work with special needs dogs and animals. I will work on specific training your dog is currently needing. I’m tall and fit so I can work with large breeds.
About: I have had pets in my home for my entire life. I have volunteered in animal shelters since 2019 and currently do regular shifts at a local shelter, where I walk dogs (I am trained to the most advanced level, meaning I can interact with and walk dogs who are still working on their social skills and interactions), take dogs and cats on local news shows to encourage adoption, foster dogs in my own home, and take part in educational opportunities to continually advance my animal care and advocacy abilities. My full-time job is remote and has a flexible schedule, so I can hang out with pets for much of the day and take breaks for outside time, playtime, appointments, and so on. I also teach a handful of yoga classes every week, usually in the late mornings, but the times vary from week to week. I am happy to give your pet what they need, whether that's scritichies, playtime, walks, gentle time sitting around, medicine, and so on. Whatever it is, I will be patient with them and their needs.
“Hope was really amazing! She gave frequent updates and pictures while my husband and I were away, and ours dogs looked like they were having a blast! We will definitely be asking her to watch them again on our next out-of-town trip.”

“Lilly was great with my pup. She made sure to spend time playing with him everyday, and remembered to give him his probiotics. She was very communicative and sent pics during the booking. My house was in perfect condition when I returned as well. Will definitely hire her again.”

“Annie did a great job house-cat sitting for us over a long weekend. She had great communication about entry and exit times, the cats' well-being, and anything that came up generally speaking. She also left the house in great condition and even took out the trash in the bathroom. Thank you, Annie!”

“Ariel did a great job! She sent us pictures. Text me constantly and let me know how they were doing. I felt very comfortable leaving her with my dogs in my house! I will definitely book with her again!”

Capitol Hill pet parents share their Rover experiences
We have used Amber twice now to house sit and care for our dog and cat. She has been absolutely wonderful both times. She sends regular updates/pictures, leaves our home tidy and clean, and is great with our pets. We will continue booking with her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Kristin was excellent and treated our pups and home like her own. She took them on beautiful hikes, gave all the love, and sent great photos along the way. Her dog, Mr. Tater Tot, got along great with our dogs and loved being a part of the pack. Would definitely book with Kristin (and Tater) again!

Tay was so amazing with my babies. She was so patient with my anxious pup and my rebellious cat. She provided checkins each day that quelled any anxiety I had about leaving my pets for the first time. Knowing the care she provided made my trip that much more relaxed. I cannot wait to book Tay again!

Amaris is incredible!!! We are so grateful to have her watch our pup and kitty while we were away. Her attention and care are the BEST we’ve had through using rover. If you are looking for someone who will provide you updates, pictures and a high level of care, you need to use Amaris!!

Hands down, Jerany is the BEST dog sitter we've ever had. I can't recommend her enough, though selfishly I wish I could keep her all to myself. She was so amazing with our anxious pups, and with every check-in I could tell they were getting the love they needed. She was respectful of our home as well as our needy dogs. I will absolutely be booking Jerany again!
