I work remotely, which means I have the flexibility to fit pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. I’m able to set aside time throughout the day, whether in the early morning, midday, or evening, to give pets the attention they need, from walks and playtime to feedings and medication. This means your furry family member gets consistent, reliable care without long stretches alone.

Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or in yours, I focus on following your instructions closely so your pet’s routine stays familiar and stress-free. I take the time to listen and learn about the little quirks and preferences that make each animal unique, whether that’s a favorite toy, a special feeding method, or a spot they love to nap. Information Catherine W. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for someone’s pet, I like to know as much as possible to keep them happy, healthy, and comfortable. This includes any medical conditions, recent injuries, medications, vaccination status, allergies, and the contact information for their vet or an emergency clinic. I also ask about feeding schedules, portion sizes, the type and brand of food, where it’s stored, and any treat preferences or restrictions, along with rules about table scraps or human food. For exercise and play, I like to know their walking schedule, preferred routes, off-leash rules, recall reliability, and favorite toys or games, as well as their general play style. Understanding a pet’s behavior is important too, so I ask about their comfort level with strangers, kids, or other animals, along with any quirks, fears, or triggers like loud noises or delivery drivers. I find out how they signal they need to go outside, whether they experience separation anxiety, and what training cues they respond to. I also ask about household rules, such as which areas they’re allowed in, whether they use a crate, their bedtime routine, and for cats, where the litter box is and how often it’s cleaned. Finally, I love learning little details that help us bond like their favorite spots for scratches, words or phrases they respond to, and any quirky rituals they enjoy, such as morning cuddles or evening zoomies.

A typical day

I make sure pets in my care get plenty of fun, love, and stimulation throughout the day. Depending on their personality and needs, that might mean long walks, backyard playtime, fetch, or tug-of-war. For more relaxed companions, we enjoy gentle brushing, belly rubs, and cozy nap time together. I also like to add enrichment activities like puzzle toys, & treat hide-and-seek. Of course, there’s always lots of praise and cuddles, if wanted.

Pet care experience

Two decades of paws, whiskers, and wagging tails have taught me one thing: every pet deserves care tailored to them. I’ve shared my home with cats, dogs, and even small rodents over the past 20 years, and I currently dote on my own sweet cat. From leisurely dog walks to supporting chronically ill pets, I’m calm, capable, and quick to learn new routines. I also have experience house-sitting and pet-sitting simultaneously, so I understand the importance of respecting your home and privacy. You can trust me to keep your space just as you left it: tidy, secure, and well cared for. Because I work remotely, I can spend plenty of time throughout the day keeping your pet happy, comfortable, and loved.

Catherine was INCREDIBLE! She took care of our needy labradoodle and high maintenance cat so well while we were out of town. She sent us daily updates and made us feel so comfortable leaving our animals babies with her. It was easy to see she loved them like her own!

Our pug had a wonderful week long stay with Catherine. He was well taken care of and got plenty of walks and attention. We got lots of cute photos while we were away. 100% would book with Catherine again.
