Even when not working directly with animals I’ve always volunteered with shelters and taken on side pet care jobs with friends and family. I am currently exploring continuing education options and am open to long term animal care clients. I require a complimentary meet and greet for all new clients. If you wish to schedule any additional meet & greets for anxious or reactive pets, please schedule a walk or drop in.

I have worked regularly with a variety of shy and reactive animals and their safety and mine is always top priority. I strive to meet your pet in their comfort zone and maintain a calm environment around their typical schedule. I require a meet and greet with all new drop in and house sitting clients. If you wish to schedule any additional meet & greets for anxious or reactive pets, please schedule a walk or drop in through my calendar. I do not provide services in my home, for the comfort of your animals as well as my own. I provide references from previous clients and coworkers.
Information Kendall A. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to set up a “play date” with your dog before any extended stays. Please let me know strong likes and dislikes, preferred play methods, important commands, things you’re working on with your pet, emergency contact and medical concerns or issues, as well as your pets’ typical schedule.
A typical day
I think a schedule is really important for pets! I find that pets are more comfortable with their favorite people being gone when everything else is as close to business as usual as I can make it! Your pet is my boss and I’m there to make sure their day goes the way they expect it to. (That isn’t to say I’m not above buying a little bit of love with some extra treats, diet permitting) I am fully prepared to spend the day distracting your pet in their favorite ways as I get to know them! I want to hear about their favorite tug of war toy or their secret love of ice cubes.

Pet care experience
Specializing in working with reactive and shy pets who need a little extra understanding. I spent my teen years working summers with archaeological scent dogs, guard dogs, and search and rescue bloodhounds. I loved running with the dogs and it was such an interesting way to see how a dog’s personality really comes out when they’re doing what they love. In the past fifteen years of my adult life, I’ve worked in grooming salons, various shelters, independent dog training, and a doggie daycare. Getting to know a dog is like getting to know a person, every one has a different personality but they all want you to meet them on their level and learn how they like to interact.

Kendall did a great job with our anxious doodle. She also managed a possible fire evacuation and extended her stay when our flights were canceled, and we could not get home on time. She was great!
Kendall is an attentive, trustworthy and thorough sitter!! She stayed with my cat while she was recovering from illness and her updates, photos and notes while away kept me very calm. Will definitely be using her again for future trips. Thank you Kendall!
Kendall was super helpful scheduling a very last minute same day meet and greet for a next day drop in. My dog is reactive and Kendall was confident with him and he warmed up to her quickly!
Kendall made me feel so good about leaving my senior dog while I traveled. They were present in all the ways my dog and I both needed in our home. I received regular updates and photos, too, which was fun. I definitely recommend Kendall!
