I promise to treat your pet like my own, and to make sure they are cared for in the way they deserve. I have a very flexible schedule and work from home three days a week, and am able to arrange pet care requirements or requests around my day to day life easily. I have a fully fenced yard for pets and keep separate yard space for large and small breeds. I know what it is like to need a last-minute sitter and I never want price to stand in the way of your pup getting quality care. So please reach out, especially if there are special circumstances! I love going on outdoor adventures with my 7 year old black Lab, Ellie! We especially enjoy hiking, swimming at the lake, and playing fetch at the park. On cold and rainy days, we'll do indoor enrichment activities like hide-and-seek, puzzle toys, or catching bubbles! About: As a life-long pet owner, lover, and caretaker, I am well-equipped to take in your furry friends and passionate about giving them a warm, safe place to stay (and play). I’ve had pets since I was a child — some of my fondest memories involve wet kisses and long, sniff-filled walks around the neighborhood. In addition to providing my family pets with basic care and love, I’ve watched and cared for dogs in my community since I was a tween. Most of my time spent away from home is flexible and lasts (at most) 5 hours (with a few exceptions). I enjoy spending time with dogs, and try to be home as often as possible when watching pets to ensure they are comfortable and safe. I have a large, fenced yard with plenty of room to explore, sniff, and play! I have one 11 year old dog — a sweet, social, pet-friendly Golden Retriever — to keep your pup company. His name is Simba, he loves to say hi and will engage if your pup initiates, but is also very content to keep to himself and takes cues and warnings well. Simba is a free roaming dog and I am happy to keep your pup out and about while I'm home and able to supervise. I also live with a cat who keeps to herself and stays confined to a dog-free room. She will not interact with your pets during their stay. For your pup's safety and mine, I prefer they are crate trained. That way, I can ensure they are safe and comfortable while I'm out. I also utilize kennels as a quiet space for dogs to decompress and recharge separate from outside distractions. However, they will be offered plenty of time outside of their crates, both indoors and outdoors. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds in my house. However, I can enforce any off-furniture rules to maintain their routine while away from home.

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life as well as cats. I am very comfortable with large dogs and smaller ones. I have watched friends and neighbors dogs anywhere from a corgi to a Great Pyrenees. I have taught my family’s dogs how to sit, lay down, stay, and shake. I am a student at the University of Utah and I work part time at a coffee shop. My mornings and evenings are very open. I typically work from 1-8pm and the days that I work vary. I do own a cat, so I feed him everyday and fill his water bowl, as well as cleaning the litter box a couple times a week. I have stayed in friend’s homes before and leave it cleaner than I left. My apartment allows pets and it is very nice for walks. I live pretty close to liberty park, if your dog needs some extra exercise.
