“Wonderful service, followed directions really well. You can tell Carmelle really cares about cats/animals and likes to spend time with them rather than just treating it as work. Would for sure use her services again in the future”

“This was our first time using Rover and Emilya did a great job with our Finley. She was on time and took great care of Finley while we were away. She sent us update and photos.”

“Nicolle is a caring, friendly, and knowledgeable cat sitter. She looked after my 3 cats and was completely at ease with my detailed and somewhat complicated feeding and medication instructions. She played with the cats every visit and sent great updates and photos after each time. I highly recommend Nicolle for any type of pet care!!!”

“Arissa was fantastic. She took excellent care of our pets while we were away, including administering oral medication. She was consistent, friendly, professional, and bonded quickly with our pets. We were able to go away and feel completely comfortable with the care of pets. Strongly recommend!”

About: Hi there! We’ve both been surrounded by animals for years, and our hearts are fully claimed by two adorable cats of our own. Titiksha has loved and cared for animals since her teens, from her family dog back home to countless cats she’s doted on over the years. Kuljit officially joined the cat club after meeting Titiksha’s sassy feline, and together we adopted another furball—now we’re happily wrapped around four tiny paws! We adore learning each pet’s quirks, giving them calm, cozy care, and making sure they feel loved, safe, and understood—purrs, head boops, and cuddles included. I (Kuljit) work in and out of house for few hours and my partner (Titiksha) is always home, so there’s always someone around to give your pet attention and care they deserve. Our apartment is spacious, filled with natural light, and has big windows perfect for birdwatching (aka "cat TV") and sunbathing. Your pet will also have two calm and friendly feline companion while staying with me. We also have experience caring for cats with medical needs-whether that's administering medication, special diets, or just a little extra TLC. If your fur baby needs any special attention, we’re more than happy to accommodate and provide the love and care they need to feel safe and comfortable. Your pet's happiness and well-being are our top priorities. We’d love to welcome them into my home and treat them like one of my own while you're away.
About: I've been a pet sitter for over half my life, and have always enjoyed caring for animals. For the past year I have volunteered at the Wpg Humane Society as a Baby Bottle Feeder. This role trained me to provide basic care to the smallest of orphaned puppies and kittens and continue to build my skill set in caring for animals. I have experience with bottle feeing, administering oral medication & pills to senior pets, ear medication, and am comfortable managing insulin for diabetic pets. I currently work 9-330pm, Mon-Fri and am off in July and August (summer holidays). When I am pet sitting I will ensure all of my free time is spent keeping your fur baby(ies) company, so I am typically just out of the home when I'm working. At this time I am only available to care for pets in the client's home. I ensure to always respect your space and maintain a harmonious environment for your pet(s) while they are adjusting to your temporary absence. I will do all I can to make them feel loved and cared for and be aware of the potential for anxiety and depression in this unfamiliar time for them.
“Jordan took AMAZING photos of my cat, which will now be his profile photos for everywhere that a cat might need a profile photo. Through the photos and how my cat acted when I got home, I can tell that he was well looked after and given the level of love that he needs”

“Brena went out of her way to take care of, and make our cat Cali, feel like she was loved while we were away. Brena was in contact with us daily and ensured we could rest easy by sending us pictures and videos. Our cat is very shy and tends to hide from strangers. You would never know that as it took Brena no time to establish a relationship and build trust. Thank you so much Brena and also thank you for bringing in the deliveries we forgot we ordered 🤣 Anyone that needs someone to take care of their pet should put Brena at the top of their list…we have! Thank you again Brena. You put our mind at ease while on our family vacation without our 1 family member 😺”

“If I could give 10 stars I would. Megan was absolutely wonderful. She kept us entertained with our fur babies antics, and we loved the pictures she sent. It was so nice to go away and know that our cats were in good hands. We’ll definitely be calling Megan again to care for our babies. I knew as soon as I met her she was an animal lover. Thank you so much Megan and Rover.com. Looking forward to many future bookings with you.”

“I can't recommend Jennifer enough for her exceptional pet-sitting services! My dog and cat absolutely love her, and I always feel confident leaving them in her care. She's a fantastic communicator and keeps me updated with pictures and status reports during her visits. I've never had any issues with her, and I would recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pets like family, look no further!"”

“Freya did an amazing job! Warm, friendly, responsible, and conscientious. Cat care was outstanding. And communication was detailed and timely. I will definitely hire her again!”
About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and have had the privilege of raising both rescue dogs and a purebred Golden Retriever over the years. Each one has shaped how I care for animals—with patience, understanding, and a lot of love. In our home, pets truly are family. Their happiness, comfort, and well-being are always a top priority, just as if they were children. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m known for being kind, conscientious, and reliable—not just with dogs, but with people too. I’ll always communicate clearly, show up when I say I will, and make sure you feel confident your pet is in good hands. I’m currently working part-time, which allows me to dedicate quality time and attention to the pets in my care. My approach is simple—I care for every pet as if they were my own. That means plenty of exercise tailored to your dog’s individual needs, along with a strong focus on mental stimulation through enrichment, play, and engagement—not just walks. In a client’s home, I respect your pet’s routine and environment, keeping things as consistent as possible to reduce stress. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation, while also giving them the patience and calm presence they need to feel at ease. I care for every pet as if they were my own—prioritizing their comfort, happiness, and well-being at all times.

About: I've had dogs since I was a kid, I'm used to big, high energy, and stubborn dogs of all ages! We've been fostering pups on and off for over a decade. We have a senior dog and an 11 month old puppy at home and have cared for 5 foster pups in 2026 alone. I'm currently off work with a disability and have been taking care of dogs and puppies on a volunteer basis/as a foster. I'm taking a break from fostering and figured I could do this in the meantime! Since I'm not currently working I can offer a lot of time, energy, training and care to a dog. We have a 11 month old female husky x puppy at our house who is incredible with other dogs and loves to play all day long! We have a fenced yard. I'm home all day, and my wife works from home so we can hang out with and keep an eye on your dog(s). We can crate your pooch if necessary overnight or if we need to pop out and we have small medium and xl crates at home. We have 2 kids at home 14 and 4 who love to help out and play.

Memphis provided outstanding care for our kitties and home while we were on a week-long trip. We particularly appreciated her thorough, enjoyable, and helpful daily updates filling us in on all things to do with Dilly + Ozi. She took excellent care to follow our instructions and the cats seemed to really appreciate her efforts (as did we!) We would love to have Memphis provide pet care again soon! Thank you so so much, Memphis!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
There are 373 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Winnipeg. About 87% of Winnipeg sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Winnipeg stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Winnipeg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
