“Kamil is very attentive to our dogs' needs and has priven to go well beyond expectations of an in-home sitter to include bringing JB home when my flight arrival prevented me from picking him up. Kamil listens closely to instructions and makes his best effort to maintain our dogs' relaxation and minimize routine disruption. We are very happy with the service he provides and is our go-to when considering an in-home sitter.”

“I have used Jacquelynn on a few of occasions to care for my cat while away on vacation. She met with me ahead of the booking to learn how to provide my cat’s inhaler. It was reassuring that she took the care and time to learn the inhaler and managed this well when caring for my cat. She learned routines quickly and needed little reacquaintance to them upon subsequent bookings. She communicated well with pictures and detailed comments and went above and beyond with small things to feel that my cat and her spaces were cared for. I have been so pleased to come home to a calm, happy and well-cared for kitty because of Jacquelynn’s service. I will definitely be rebooking with her again!”

“Yining was an absolute wonder! She took exceptional care of my cat while I was away. She kept me updated with sweet photos and videos during every visit, which gave us complete peace of mind. My cat was so happy, relaxed, and well-cared for when I returned home. Yining is super reliable, kind, and trustworthy. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter!”

“This was our 3rd time using Cael. First time with our kittens. From the pre-visit before the trip to the communication and photos for every drop-in (2 times a day x 7 days), we knew our cats were doing well and were in great hands.”

“Cheryl did a fantastic job looking after Ninja Jr. and Blackberry at my home! They were happy and well-cared for when I returned, and it was clear she gave them lots of attention. Her updates were reassuring and showed how much she cared. I highly recommend her for in-home pet sitting!”

About: We’ve always been happiest with a dog in our home. With one of us working from home full-time, we’re able to give visiting dogs steady company throughout the day along with the walks, playtime, and routine they’re used to. After caring for our girl Nora for 17 wonderful years, my husband and I have lived through every stage of a dog’s life and still miss having that energy around. We already look after the pets of friends and family, and we’re excited to welcome a few more furry guests. We tailor each stay to your dog’s usual needs, whether that means long neighbourhood walks, extra exercise, or trips to the dog park. We’re big believers in keeping things consistent for the dogs we watch. If your pup has house rules, feeding schedules, training cues, or favourite spots to nap, we follow them closely so their stay feels familiar and comfortable. We reinforce the habits and boundaries you’ve already worked hard to build. Caring for our own dog through a few medical challenges taught us how to handle medications, mobility needs, and gentle support for older pets. If your dog needs special care or a bit of extra patience, we’re comfortable providing it. During the week, there is always someone at home, and weekends are usually spent together too. If your dog enjoys little outings, we’re happy to bring them along on pet-friendly errands or quiet park trips. If they prefer a slower pace, we’re just as happy to relax on the couch and keep things calm. We’re simply hoping to bring a bit of that tail-wagging joy back into our home and make your dog feel safe and loved while you are away. My husband works from home and I work 20% at home and 80% in office. We are both off evenings and weekends. We have a 17 year old teenager as well who is eager to help out. When it comes to your dog’s safety and comfort, we’re your people. We treat every dog like they’re part of our family—so much so, we’d probably share our snacks with them if they gave us that “sad puppy eyes” look. Hopefully we would make them do a trick first. Our yard is fully fenced, which means no escape artist dogs on our watch! While we love giving dogs the run of the yard, we also recognise that some dogs need to have their own space. If your dog has a special bed, crate, mat that brings them comfort bring it. This ensures they have a place they can feel comfortable in. For success we know following usual routines make your pup feel comfortable and safe as possible. Basically, your dog will be treated like royalty… but with more belly rubs.
About: I have been taking care of dogs for about a decade. I have had two of my own dogs who were high-energy and took medication every day. I have also taken care of the neighbours' dogs as needed if they were away for short periods. I currently own a very needy and rambunctious cat who also takes medication daily, so I am accustomed to that as well. I am currently a full-time student working roughly 9-5, but I am flexible. I am available in the evening and on weekends as needed. Open to negotiation. I am pretty comfortable with animals and don't mind being covered in fur! I can crate your pet if needed and will do my best to make them feel comfortable.
About: I’ve had dogs as pets my whole life, and I have about 10 years of experience pet sitting for friends - both cats and dogs! I also have some experience caring for pets who require regular medications. I’m currently working full time in downtown Winnipeg, with my day typically ending between 3-4pm! This makes it easy for me to stop by your place for mid-afternoon walks and potty breaks for your pets! I am also comfortable staying overnight if you go out of town and can’t bring your pets with you :) I have many years of experience walking dogs of varying sizes on leash, and some experience with leash training! I am comfortable crating animals who require it as well.
About: Located in beautiful Wolseley, but can travel nearby. I am Fear Free Shelter certified and I volunteer with two animal shelters. I have completed all required training to understand body language, temperament and behaviour and can connect with both friendly and timid dogs. We foster dogs, and have lots of experience with shy or injury-recovering ones who need special attention. Our own dog is a beautiful shepherd who we rescued from a shelter in Morden and we have had the absolute privilege of watching her learn the world isn't so scary. Our second is a little French bulldog who we foster-failed and decided to keep. I love all dogs and would love to spend time with yours! I work full time, but my schedule is flexible. I work from home Monday and Friday and can pop over to hang out during the day, and am free every day after 4:30. My weekends are usually wide open as well. We have two dogs and one cat, and while I couldn’t board your pet at my place I’m in a very central location and could easily commute.
About: Having grown up in a family with 3 cats and a dog, I've always had a strong love and interest in animals. I feel that I can really relate to the animal and get a sense of their soul. I looked after both dogs and cats while travelling in Europe. (During this time, I was working remotely as a freelance translator.) I have experience with various breeds, in particular, greyhounds, as I had an extended sit caring for a senior Spanish greyhound for 6 weeks. I have also cared for multiple cats and dogs at the same time, as I looked after 2 dogs and 2 cats at a house sit in England. I am based in Winnipeg and have a car to get to your location. I am a self-employed freelancer with plenty of spare time for pet care. At the moment, I am devoting most of my time to animal care. I always treat my clients' home and property with the upmost respect and I pay particular attention to the hand-over procedure and any special details or information about your home and/or your pets. I love animals and will look after your pets as if they were my own.
About: Hi! I’m a dependable and caring dog lover who understands how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I enjoy spending time with dogs of all personalities, whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company and comfortable in their routine. I’m attentive to each dog’s individual needs and always follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special instructions carefully. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands. My goal is to make every dog feel relaxed, loved, and treated like family. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I have a hybrid work schedule, which allows me to be home for most of the week and provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I also have flexibility in my schedule and can adjust my work hours when needed to help accommodate your fur baby’s routine, including walks, feeding times, potty breaks, playtime, and medication schedules if required. I understand that every dog has different needs and energy levels, and I’m happy to provide a calm, comfortable, and caring environment where they can feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. Whether your dog loves active play, relaxing naps, or lots of cuddles and attention, I’ll make sure they feel right at home. I have a fully fenced yard with a park connected right behind my backyard, giving dogs plenty of space for safe outdoor time, play, and walks. It’s a great environment for dogs who enjoy fresh air, exploring, and getting their energy out in a secure area. I also have one small, friendly dog who can help keep your pup company and make them feel more comfortable during their stay. I always make sure pets are introduced carefully and supervised to ensure everyone feels safe, relaxed, and happy. Whether your dog enjoys playing with other dogs or prefers a calmer environment, I’ll do my best to make them feel at home and cared for like family.
“Jordan was fantastic! Very conscientious and caring about our two cats and making sure they ate & drank and got some love. He even got our fearful boy to come around and accept pets and belly rubs. He was great with communication and sent many photos of his visits. We will definitely book with Jordan again!”

About: Hi there! We’ve both been surrounded by animals for years, and our hearts are fully claimed by two adorable cats of our own. Titiksha has loved and cared for animals since her teens, from her family dog back home to countless cats she’s doted on over the years. Kuljit officially joined the cat club after meeting Titiksha’s sassy feline, and together we adopted another furball—now we’re happily wrapped around four tiny paws! We adore learning each pet’s quirks, giving them calm, cozy care, and making sure they feel loved, safe, and understood—purrs, head boops, and cuddles included. I (Kuljit) work in and out of house for few hours and my partner (Titiksha) is always home, so there’s always someone around to give your pet attention and care they deserve. Our apartment is spacious, filled with natural light, and has big windows perfect for birdwatching (aka "cat TV") and sunbathing. Your pet will also have two calm and friendly feline companion while staying with me. We also have experience caring for cats with medical needs-whether that's administering medication, special diets, or just a little extra TLC. If your fur baby needs any special attention, we’re more than happy to accommodate and provide the love and care they need to feel safe and comfortable. Your pet's happiness and well-being are our top priorities. We’d love to welcome them into my home and treat them like one of my own while you're away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Winnipeg
Meghan was fantastic. She came over and got the lay of the land. I have an older dog with health issues and she took very good care of him. Filled out the cards with photos, the dog is older and she took that into account. All I can say is excellent, really took the anxiety down for me.

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
