Information Jacob W. would like to know about your pet

Anything about the schedule /toy /walk preference from the dog is helpful as well as any significant health issues that I should be aware of.

A typical day

I'm a big fan of really any enrichment whether it's a treat ball, lick pads or a long walk. I do tend towards activities where I am being active with the dog. I do think these types of activities are important not only for retiring the dog out so it can sleep, but also for important bonding for the dog and I.

Pet care experience

I'm currently working for a local dog rescue doing general care for them as well as walks, with a focus on larger dogs that are difficult to walk as well as anxious dogs and dogs with various medical conditions. As a result making sure the dog feels safe and comfortable with me is the priority. I also work with training some of the rescues which is how I ended up helping train therapy and remains detection dogs. with this experience i have gotten good at reading a dogs mood and approaching them appropriately making me good with younger and shy dogs

Thank you again, Jacob! We are so grateful that our girl has bonded with you and you take such great care of her. It's nice to be able to know that Charlotte is in such good hands.

Jacob watched our 2 year old pup Winston who is a 90lbs bernedoodle for 5 days while we went out of town. Jacob came to visit Winston a few times before the stay ensuring Winston felt comfortable with him and was very aware of Winston and his needs during their meetings. He sent us regular updates and photos of Winston while we were away, which really made us feel at ease. He also kept our home clean and safe while we were gone. Winston seems to have bonded very well with Jacob and was his happy, bubbly self when we got home. I would highly recommend Jacob to anyone in need of a house sitter!

Jacob has been for 2 meetings and greets before we go on vacation. Our dogs are very reactive but have reacted extremely well with Jacob. We are looking forward to our vacation knowing that Jacob is the right sitter for our pups. Thank you
