Highlights
Pet care experience
your pets are my priority
I'm currently working for a local dog rescue doing general care for them as well as walks, with a focus on larger dogs that are difficult to walk as well as anxious dogs and dogs with various medical conditions. As a result making sure the dog feels safe and comfortable with me is the priority. I also work with training some of the rescues which is how I ended up helping train therapy and remains detection dogs. with this experience i have gotten good at reading a dogs mood and approaching them appropriately making me good with younger and shy dogs
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I approach pet-sitting like i approach babysitting, while they are in my care they are my number one priority. make sure they are fed and watered and work off any extra energy they have, but my priority is to make sure the pet feels safe and comfortable.
Ratings and reviews
Thank you again, Jacob! We are so grateful that our girl has bonded with you and you take such great care of her. It's nice to be able to know that Charlotte is in such good hands.

Jacob watched our 2 year old pup Winston who is a 90lbs bernedoodle for 5 days while we went out of town. Jacob came to visit Winston a few times before the stay ensuring Winston felt comfortable with him and was very aware of Winston and his needs during their meetings. He sent us regular updates and photos of Winston while we were away, which really made us feel at ease. He also kept our home clean and safe while we were gone. Winston seems to have bonded very well with Jacob and was his happy, bubbly self when we got home. I would highly recommend Jacob to anyone in need of a house sitter!

Jacob has been for 2 meetings and greets before we go on vacation. Our dogs are very reactive but have reacted extremely well with Jacob. We are looking forward to our vacation knowing that Jacob is the right sitter for our pups. Thank you

Jacob was great with my dogs!!! 10/10 will use again!

Jacob stayed with Charlotte for a week while we went on an overseas vacation. She is standoffish and dislikes change. By day 5, she found the door partially ajar while he was sleeping, and he woke up to her on the bed (she is a free range sleeper in our house). She had completely accepted him and a bond was developed. Amazing! Jacob kept in touch with humorous updates and photos, and we are so glad we asked him to house/pet sit for us. We will absolutely reach out to him again for any future sit or walking needs. 🙂

Jacob has been so great with our dog, Charlotte. She is very wary of new people, but he won her over. We are so lucky to find someone who we know we can trust to handle her on walks, as she is picky on routes, and stubborn. Thanks, Jacob!
