About: I have had pets all my life and I have several years of hands-on experience caring for animals. In high school I worked at a dog daycare, after I graduated I worked at a pet store for about a year. For the past 2 and a half years I’ve worked at an animal shelter, where I have gained lots of experience caring for lots of animals with all different personalities, needs, and medical requirements. I have 3 cats from there, they are all blind and two of them are also deaf. Caring for them has given me lots of experience caring for pets with disabilities and helping them thrive. One of my cats requires a daily medication due to anxiety and I have other experience with other kinds of medications due to my other cats going through surgeries in the past. Every pet deserves all the love they can get! I care deeply about all pets getting the care they need and making sure they are comfortable and they feel safe and happy! I am working full-time. I work Tuesday-Saturday. I am free all day on Mondays and on Sunday afternoons. From Tuesday-Saturday I am available anytime after 5pm. I will follow the clients instructions on what to do in their own home and how to care for their pets in the best way possible.
About: I have experience caring for fish, painted turtles, salamanders, guinea pigs, parrots, dogs, and cats. Most of which are from childhood family pet care experience. My most extensive pet care experience is with dogs, as I have experience working at dog daycare and overnight kenneling. I love all pets as my own! About: I have been taking care of dogs for about a decade. I have had two of my own dogs who were high-energy and took medication every day. I have also taken care of the neighbours' dogs as needed if they were away for short periods. I currently own a very needy and rambunctious cat who also takes medication daily, so I am accustomed to that as well. I am currently a full-time student working roughly 9-5, but I am flexible. I am available in the evening and on weekends as needed. Open to negotiation. I am pretty comfortable with animals and don't mind being covered in fur! About: I grew up with cats and have cared for them practically my whole life. I had a dog, that I trained from a puppy, in my 20s, and have cared for many other people’s dogs as well (including senior dogs). I also had fish and a frog as a teenager and have some minimal experience caring for rabbits and hamsters too. My current cats are formerly feral, one of whom is extremely anxious and takes daily medication for her anxiety so I understand how to care for especially nervous and skittish kitties. I’m also familiar with the signs of UTIs in cats and can be on the look out for them if your cat is prone to them. I have been a pet sitter for friends and family my whole adult life and am excited to expand my services to others in the community. My schedule, except for very early mornings, is pretty flexible. I can be available after 9 or 10am (depending on distance from my home) until 9:00 pm almost any day of the week. Upon first meeting new animals it’s important to allow them to come to me first. I get on their level and allow them to approach me to help establish myself as a safe person. I try to be a calm presence, using slow and deliberate movements; for cats I slow blink at them, for dogs, I avoid direct eye contact. I extend a fist for both cats and dogs and they can decide if they’d like to be touched by me. From there I pay attention to body language and suggestions from you on where your pet prefers pets and scratches. Play and treats (if allowed) are also really helpful in building a trusting relationship. As for other care - feeding, meds and walks, I follow the instructions you provide.

It became evident very early in that we had chosen the right pet sitter with Christine. She has a sincerity about her that made us feel secure. That feeling was quickly affirmed when receiving daily pics - videos and updates from her. We could see that our cat felt comfortable and safe w her- satisfying our main objective. As to the security of our home- she was top notch - surprising us with extras like reporting on the condition of our yard and neighbourhood after the bad storm - removing the sitting water from our screen house roof and taking care of smaller but important details like mail. Our cat looked as fat on our return as before we left! Highly recommend!
