CANNOT CARE FOR REACTIVE DOGS. I'm not currently working a regular job, so I have lots of free time to care for your pets! As long as I haven't already committed to caring for other animals, I'm happy to accommodate your schedule to make sure your pet gets the best and most reliable care.

I live in an apartment, which I understand isn't suitable for all dogs, but it is very safe and clean and is already accommodating a revolving door of my friends and family's animals. The building is extremely pet-friendly and has an elevator to accommodate any pups with mobility issues. I take dogs on lots of potty walks throughout the day and live in a great neighbourhood for long, scenic walks. Due to the communal nature of apartments, I am UNABLE TO CARE FOR REACTIVE DOGS.

I'd appreciate as much info about your pet's quirks beforehand. Are they picky about how they like to be walked or take their food? Allergies? Favourite toys/treats? Do they hate measuring tapes (true story!)? I'm happy to accommodate your pet's wants/needs to make sure they feel the most cared for! Unfortunately, I am unable to care for reactive dogs in my home at this time. I live in an apartment that's very busy with dogs and people, so it would be too stressful and potentially dangerous. However, I'm happy to spend some time with them during check-ins in your home.
A typical day
Depends on the dog! I take care of dogs that don't care much for being outside, so we spend tons of time inside just snuggling and playing with toys. For dogs that love being outside, I live in a great neighbourhood for going on long or short walks, and there are some really cute parks around me for exploring and lying around in. I also like to drive to further parks for additional exploration. Depending on our mutual comfort and your dog's grasp of recall, I also like to go to Brenda Liepsik Dog Park on occasion. As I live in an apartment, we'll at the very least go on regular 15-20 minute potty walks throughout the day.

We were nervous to drop off our dog. We were delighted when we met Arissa. She was kind patient and took to our dog right away. She met us at the park before our stay so that our dog could get to know her our dog felt calm and cared for. She administered medication, and showed great patience with our senior dog. To put us at easeshe sent us several photos during the day so we knew how our dog was feeling the whole time. We are appreciative and will certainly be back.
