“We’re so ecstatic we found Patricia. We took a liking to her immediately during our meet and greet. What sold me was her years of experience working with different behavioural dogs, she has her pet CPR/first aid training and she’s so kind and calm. We left Oscar at Patricia’s for about 10.5 hours, she would send us updates on their activities and a picture of our little guy. When we came back to pick him up, he was so happy and it appears he found a friend in Mila (Patricia’s dog), so cute. I knew we finally found our sitter - normally if it’s not a good fit, we could tell from Oscar’s anxiety level but this time when we picked him up he was just all jolly and playful.”

About: Hi! I’m Jennifer from Scarborough, a professional pet sitter with experience providing boarding, drop-in visits and dog walking to your fur family! I became a super pet lover after having my first Labrador Retriever as a child, and now I own a Labrador again-my little bundle of joy who keeps me on my toes every day! As a pet parent, I fully understand the needs of dogs and the challenge of leaving them at home. I’m passionate about providing love, care, and attention to make pets happy and safe. I hold a professional pet-sitting diploma and a pet first-aid certificate. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every dog as if they were my own. I also speak Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. I'm currently working from home with a flexible schedule, so I'll have plenty of time playing with your pups! I am available on the weekdays from 9am-5pm. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs that I can account for, whether they are allergic to anything, medications, are friendly with dogs and people, or any behavioral issues such as separation anxiety.
“It was the first time leaving Ginny with a sitter. It was reassuring to see that Ginny warmed up to Alia immediately and it was evident that she enjoyed spending the afternoon with Alia, when I picked her up. Thank you for taking such good care of Ginny, Alia!”

“Tsz and her husband took such good care of our dog, Moody! So easy to talk to, punctual and sent us updates throughout the day. We felt that he was in good hands. Thank you! We highly recommend them! ☺️”

About: I have over 10 years of experience with my own calm small dog Sir (10.5 years old, 20lbs, never destructive). I work from home, so your dog is rarely left alone. I only take one boarding dog at a time. My home has no kids, no cats. Dogs stay off furniture and bed. I follow your routine closely. I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I do two longer walks each day (morning and late afternoon). During the day, I can also offer quick potty breaks in between if your dog needs them. I follow the owner’s feeding and walking schedule closely. Since I only take one boarding dog at a time, your dog gets plenty of attention without being overwhelmed. Evenings are calm and quiet — perfect for dogs who like routine and rest. My home is calm, clean, and safe for small dogs. I do not have a fenced yard, but I take dogs out on a leash for potty breaks every 3–4 hours. I only take one boarding dog at a time, so I can supervise closely. There are no kids, no cats, and no other pets besides my calm senior dog Sir. I keep all cleaning products and small objects out of reach. Your dog is never left unsupervised outside or with Sir unless we are sure they get along.
“We appreciate the care and patience Katelyn & Kyle had for our puppy Charlie. Caring for a puppy is no easy task. But Charlie seemed very happy to have hung out with them and their family for the day. In fact, he was still tired the next day, which we thought was very amusing. Thank you Katelyn & Kyle. We are so happy to know Charlie is welcomed and cared for in your home. Shirley & Shawn”

“Moon stayed with Bo 4 times this week and absolutely loved him! Moon has seperation anxiety and Bo ensured that Moon was extremely well taken care of and sent several photo and video updates :) Moon had a great time and quickly warmed up to his environment and had a great time with Lego!”

“Thank you so much for taking Teddy and being accommodating for a last minute request to provide daycare for him. Since it’s one of our first few times leaving him with a sitter, they provided me photos and periodic updates which definitely eased a lot of stress.”

“Chung and his wife were very good with our dog! We had to extend our original schedule and they were very understanding. Highly recommend them! They walk him, sent photos the whole time and helped him socialize with their pets at home.”

“Sreesai has been wonderful with Lilo! She always comes back, tail wagging, super excited to see her—an excellent indicator that she’s had a lovely time with Sreesai and her little pup. Sreesai is also super flexible and is very responsive to me (ms. Neurotic mom) when I ask for any updates. Highly recommend: your pup is in good hands with Sreesai!”

“Thank you so much Nikita. I loved all the updates that you provided, it made me feel secure about how Milo is with you. It was his first time being at a day care and I would say it was great.”

About: I've always been surrounded by pets through family and friends, which has given me plenty of experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. In addition to daily care, I have experience working on basic training and teaching dogs simple tricks and commands. I enjoy helping dogs practice skills such as sit, stay, come, down, paw, and other basic manners through positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency. Whether your dog is still learning or simply needs practice with commands they already know, I'm happy to incorporate training into our time together. Whether it's going for walks, playing games, practicing training, or simply giving lots of cuddles and attention, I love helping dogs feel happy, comfortable, and cared for. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, engaged, and loved while you're away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets in my care. I make it a priority to follow each dog's established routine, including feeding times, walks, play sessions, potty breaks, medication schedules, and downtime. Consistency is important, and I strive to make your pet's day feel as normal and stress-free as possible while you're away. Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities. I carefully follow all care instructions provided and maintain a calm, attentive environment where pets can feel secure. I understand that trust is important when leaving your pet in someone else's care, so I communicate clearly, follow routines closely, and ensure pets receive the attention, supervision, and affection they need throughout their stay.
“We boarded our dog through Rover and had a wonderful experience! Our sitter took him for regular walks and sent us frequent updates throughout his stay. The best part? He wasn’t homesick at all — which tells us he was in great hands and felt right at home. Highly recommend!”

About: I have a dog and a cat myself for years. I am also been helping our neighbours and friends to walk, feed or bathe their pets. I have plenty of time to help everyone out with their busy schedule. I am available weekends and weekdays. I would love to play with your pets and make sure they have a great time. I have a crate at home and can easily crate your pet for you if necessary. I would love to send you pictures whenever you need. My dog and cat are both friendly and energetic, they can keep your pets entertained.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 12 years old. My friends, partners and family have relied on me to take care of their pets, not just because of the walks and baths and fun, I take my job as a keeper very serious when I say that they are like family and I want to make them feel like home. I believe that being a good dog walker is more than just about taking care of the dogs; it’s also about understanding their needs and acting accordingly. I am fully aware that each dog is different and walks should be tailored to suit their individual needs. In my years as a dog walker, I have learned how to read the behavior of dogs to determine what kind of walks they would prefer. Some dogs like going on long walks while others prefer short ones; some want to go on energetic walks while others would rather relax and smell the flowers. So I hope to be your next keeper, we are going to have fun :) I have full time hours to work as pet care. At htat point, I can take care of your pet in the mornings, afternoon or evenings, I love to spend time with them and that they have a happy experience in each day. I live in a very quiet neighborhood, I have a park very near so we can walk wherever every pet need, be at home, be running in the park or just walking.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Scarborough
We boarded our dog through Rover and had a wonderful experience! Our sitter took him for regular walks and sent us frequent updates throughout his stay. The best part? He wasn’t homesick at all — which tells us he was in great hands and felt right at home. Highly recommend!

Having Delia as our petsitter was great. She sent constant updates such as videos/photos and told us how they were doing. Knowing that our dogs were in good hands really put at us at ease, especially it was our first time using the Rover app. Not only that, but she is very friendly, patient, and kind! Overall, I can tell she truly cares for the dogs and just animals in general. Would 100% book again!

My dog Taro had another great visit with Amy! He is snoring away on the couch right now to show he had a fun filled day! Amy is a great sitter and highly recommended. Throughout the day, she provided updates and many pics to ensure Taro is having the best time! Can't wait to book again 🥰

We had a great experience with Yuxi Z. looking after our dog for a few hours. She was kind, attentive, and clearly comfortable with dogs. Our dog was happy and relaxed when we returned, which says it all. Communication was excellent, and we really appreciated the care and attention she gave during the visit. We’d happily book again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.
Xinting and Xinyuan were the first day-care service I have used on Rover. They went above and beyond to make sure Lucy was taken care of, including multiple walks throughout the day, and regular updates with photos and videos. Their place is very neat and tidy, and Lucy made herself right at home. I will definitely be contacting them again in the future.

Satheeskumar took amazing care of our dog Mushu during his day care stay. He’s very friendly, clearly loves dogs, and made Mushu feel right at home. They were kind and accommodating with our late drop-off and pick-up since we were driving from far away. Wonderful pet stay — highly recommend! Mushu came back happy, tired, and well cared for.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Scarborough commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
