I'm a Nurse, so calm-under-pressure and close attention to detail are basically my job description — and that carries right over into how I care for pets. I'm comfortable with medication schedules, mobility issues, post-surgery recovery, and knowing when something's "off" and worth a vet call versus not. My husband and I care for pets together — he's dog CPR certified, and has raised six dogs of his own from puppy to senior years, so he's seen it all: teething, training, arthritis, end-of-life care. He usually handles walks and meal prep, so your dog gets a consistent routine and someone who genuinely enjoys the daily stuff, not just the cuddles. Between the two of us, we've also got two dogs of our own at home — a 6-year-old Boxer/Bully mix and a 13-year-old Corgi/Terrier mix — so we know both ends of the spectrum: high-energy young dogs and senior dogs who need a gentler pace. Your pet gets treated like they’re part of the pack.

I was going on a work trip for a week and Alysha was referred to me via a coworker. We had a great meet and greet with her dog and family. She was very welcoming, warm, and had a lot of knowledge on dog training which i was looking into but never got the chance to solidify yet. I left Vicky with Alysha, who updated me 3x a day for the next week. When i came back to pick Vicky up, she was like a more mature dog who knew how to sit and wait for her food, which i never taught her. Definitely a great sitter who i've used countless times again!

Schedule
Right now I'm off assignment until November, so I'm home full-time and available pretty much any day. My husband also works from home, so between the two of us there's basically always someone around for potty breaks, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day — not just early morning and evening like a typical 9-5 household.

Believe it or not, I treat pets better than humans 🤣 it's embarrassing to say it but they give you unconditional love, so why not give unconditional love back? We've got a 4,000+ sq ft backyard with a hill for the energetic dogs to run up and over and really burn off steam, plus a park right in the neighbourhood for extra walks and exploring. Whether your dog needs a big open space to zoom around or a calmer stroll nearby, we've got options.

A typical day
A typical day includes 3 big walks around the neighbourhood, plus 3-5 potty breaks out in the backyard. My husband handles the morning walk and feeds twice a day, and I join in for the backyard potty breaks plus the afternoon and evening walks — so your dog gets a full, active day with both of us involved, not just one person doing the bare minimum. Between the walks, the backyard, and the neighbourhood park nearby, there's plenty of room to run and explore.
