I currently don’t have any pets of my own, so I’m looking for pets that can use all the love I have built up for them. About: I’ve been taking care of animals since age 9. From small ones such as birds and fish to cats and dogs. I currently own a Bengal cat, but have previously owned a cocker spaniel, Doberman, and pitbull. I have also dealt with animals that have separation anxiety. I currently work for myself so I am able to create my own schedule. I currently have a lot of free time during weekdays and some evenings. I don’t offer pet stays at my place. “I had Michael walk my rescue dog. He was the first stranger to walk my dog since I adopted him at 9.5 years. Michael came to meet him a couple of days before so that I could introduce Kasey to him. Michael showed up on time and took Kasey out in the neighbourhood for the full length of time. I like that Michael left his car at my place and went for the walk so that Kasey was used to the neighbourhood she was being walked, that made me feel comforted. Overall great job, would definitely use again.”

About: Almost all of my relatives owned dogs and I really enjoyed being around pets. I started pet sitting for my friends since uni and from that, I gained experience with different breeds of dogs/cats. I finally got my own fur baby after I graduated. I would love to meet furry friends! I work full time and I work from home. I am mostly available during weekends. For weekdays, depending on proximity, I could be available around noon and after work. For walks, I can def follow the instructions of the owner on what they usually do. If no preference, I will let him/her have the freedom to sniff and explore but will closely monitor them so they don’t ingest anything. For drop in visits, it really depends on what interests each dog, I will play their fav games or just pet them and keep them accompanied.

About: I’ve been a cat owner for over 10 years—starting when I was just 6 years old and continuing throughout my senior year of high school. Currently, I own an Akita-Husky mix dog, whom I’ve cared for since he was 8 weeks old, thus giving me hands-on experience with puppies and house-training. Recently, I did a 2-week housesitting stay caring for a 15-year-old senior dog. In addition, I volunteer at PetSmart, helping look after stray and feral cats of all ages, including kittens, in their pet enclosure. Ultimately, I’m both a cat and dog lover. I enjoy caring for pets of all personality types—including feistier cats—as well as all breeds and sizes, from small to large. Currently have plenty of time to dedicate to looking after pets, specifically for walking (for dogs), feeding, playing with, and caring for them. With my current flexible schedule, I am available for several days of the week providing dog walking services, housesitting stay-overs, and drop-in visits. When caring for pet’s for housesitting, I always aim to follow their routine as closely as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, walked or let out as needed, and give plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles (if they enjoy that). I respect the client’s space and keep the house clean and tidy. For drop-ins and dog walking, I focus on making each visit and walk a positive experience for the pet(s). Walks are thus tailored to the dog’s energy levels and needs, whether it’s a short stroll or active playtime. I also pay attention to weather conditions and use proper gear to ensure their safety. I always take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and comfort level—whether they’re shy, energetic, or somewhere in between—so they feel calm and cared for while their owner is away.
