About: We have had pets our entire life. Now retired and travel a few months a year, so currently without a pet because of our travels. Missing the love of our own pets (Scruffy lived to 17 and Cedes lived to 16). So we have decided that the love of your pets, would be lovely and would benefit all involved. We live 2 blocks from the beach, which gives the dogs a great run and or swim permitting of course :) My wife and I are both retired and walk to the beach everyday, would be nice to have a dog to walk with us. About: I grew up on a farm with multiple house pets & got my first dog at 15. I hike with my dogs every weekend with long walks during the week. I got into pet sitting after I dog sat for friends and family for years. I have experienced with multiple different behavioural and medical needs (pets in diapers, needles for diabetes, heart medications, reactive large breeds, etc) & a wide range of experience caring for different types of animals including cats, dogs, ferrets, sugar gliders, farm animals, etc. Growing up on a farm, I have experience caring for larger animals as well. I treat each animal like my own and can cater to the needs of each individual pet. I work as a homeless outreach worker for CMHA. My husband is a car salesman at Van isle FORD. I like to let my pets out at least every 2 hours, but we also spend lots of time outside. I spend most my time outside of work with my dogs, going on hikes, walks, swims or participating in one of my favourite sports. I have a large 2 story home so there’s lots of room for animals if they are inside. If they aren’t, that’s okay too. I live on 3/4 of an acre and have a fully fenced yard with two separate spaces if there’s multiple pets. I have 2 amazing dogs at home - one who loves to have some company, and although the other one rules the house, she steers clear of other pets. My cat is basically a dog, he’s the best.

“Jillian was absolutely fantastic. Jack loved her from the first moment he met her. She is excellent with checking in during the walks and making sure that Jack is well taken care of.”

About: Hello, My name is Tara! I am a customer service representative and dancer on the side, and I'm also a huge animal lover! I’ve always grown up surrounded by so many pets which makes me so compassionate towards every fur baby; I have a sense for dogs especially. I had a 13 year old Miniature Schnauzer/Terrier for almost 10 years who has passed on December of 2021. He was my life. Now I vicariously live through the fur babies I get to spend time with and spoil my favourite little frenchie niece! My favourite thing to do is go out and find new and exciting spots to hike on beautiful Vancouver Island. I've pet sat for a lot of family and friends when they’ve gone out of town. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! I currently work part-time and I’m very active so I have lots of time to take out your dog to various hiking spots all over! I live in a safe neighbourhood and place right off Long Lake. I will make sure your fur baby is safe and feels loved and cared for.

“Cherese has been amazing. She’s incredibly accommodating (coming all the way to me in Cumberland from Merville, plus several other things!) and has a great understanding of dog behaviour. She has her own two pups, and made sure it was okay if she could bring one of them along for Alder’s walk. It’s clear she cares a lot for animals, and wants to ensure that her clients get solid feedback after every walk. Alder has seemed so much happier and fulfilled this week vs before the walks with Cherese. Very happy I found her profile :)”

You can count on me. I work part time online, roughly 4 hours per day, during the week so I can easily fit in the rest of my day being with your pet. I will make sure I understand the boundaries of your place and what the characteristics and personality of your pet. I will make sure your pet is leashed when going for walks unless you say it is not necessary and will make sure your pet is happy throughout the time I am with him/her.
