About: Hi! My name is Sam 🙋♀️I've had cats, days old bottle fed rescue kittens and multiple kittens litters, gerbils, and even a chinchilla growing up. Now I have a 9 year old 80lb American Bully, Odin, and almost 7 year old cat, Mittens. I also am currently doing daily potty breaks for two puppies, one being a senior dog for a couple who live in my parents neighborhood. My dog Odin is very high anxiety with many allergies and a skin condition. So I can understand the stress of making sure you are leaving your family members in the right care. I am highly compassionate and live by taking care and supporting people, animals and things that can be seen as vunerable or easily taken advantage of. I took a step back from my full-time job to be able to help my mom with some complicated medical issues she is dealing with. After working with these two puppies during the day and my love for my animals, I thought this may be the perfect opportunity to turn a hobby (animal loving) into a more full time job. Me, as a person, am very responsible, respectful, easy going, quiet, and empathetic. I have many hobbies like gardening, skiing, painting, camping, baking and golfing. My family of 2 step boys and Fiancé are all active and enjoy being outside. I am a certified nail technician aswell but mostly only do family and friends. I am currently helping my mom with general home care taking and errands. The hours a very flexible so I am able to work about your schedule! I love to go on walks so if allowed I could take them out for an evening walk or car ride. Play games in the backyard. Watch a movie together and cuddle up. Give them their favorite approved treats and tell them how much of a good boy they are haha

I feel confident in my ability to handle and take care of all sizes of dogs, as my kennel job gave me lots of experience dealing with all different dogs. Your best friend(s) will be safe and happy with me. I look forward to meeting new people and helping them care for their of their pet(s). Cant wait to start working with rover!
About: I have lifelong experience with dogs as I grew up having one. I have cats as well as an adult. I have also fostered many different animals over the recent years. I would love to take care of your fur baby. I only work part time and my kids are in school so I have plenty of time to play and care for your fur babies. I have a small but fenced yard for your pets to play in. I love taking dogs on long walks with my toddler. I know I can truly give your pet the love they deserve.
“First time using Rover and Virginia really put us at ease. She was fantastic with trigger, informative and we really enjoyed the pictures of Trigger while we were away!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Samana. Our dog loves her and enjoyed going for walks with her. Samana is so friendly and accommodating, and she was extremely punctual and sent us lots of picture and videos from her walks with Ollie. She’s a very responsive communicator and we felt very comfortable with her taking care of our fur baby. We will definitely be re-booking with Samana!”

“My dogs get so excited when Sam shows up to take them for a walk - I'm thinking they like her more than me. She's a very nice person, she's responsible, and you can tell she loves animals.”

About: Leaving home on a vacation and wondering who to trust with your baby? From drop off till pick up, it is my job to ensure your baby is safe and loved in my home. Almost like you never left. I’ve cared for everything from very energetic puppies to senior dogs with specific routines and temperaments, and I’m happy to follow any schedule or instructions you share. Consistency, comfort, and safety are my top priorities whether it’s feeding, walks, or just keeping them company. i work from home so i’d be home with your baby most of the time. I do not have a yard but i do have a field 2mins from me and there your baby could run on leash or we walk to the pond nearby. For dogs that wouldn’t be walking much, there is green area right by the house provide a calm, structured, and pet friendly home where safety and comfort come first. I only board pets from the same household at one time, which helps reduce stress and prevents conflicts. My home is clean, quiet, and well suited for dogs who enjoy a relaxed environment. Pets are supervised throughout the day and are never left unsafely unattended. When I need to step out briefly, dogs are settled in a secure, familiar space based on the owner’s preference (room, kennel, or designated area). I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding routines, walk preferences, and any behavioural considerations. Walks are done safely on leash, with extra care taken to avoid crowded areas or other dogs if needed. I prioritize positive reinforcement, clear boundaries, and consistency to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I treat every pet as if they were my own with patience, attention, and respect for their routine and I keep owners updated so they can feel confident while they’re away.
About: I am fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available to you and your pet on short notice. Not only is my schedule accommodating, so is my home and my pet education. Over the past 14ys, I have been closely involved with many different animal orientated facilities. My personal pup was certified with The Chimo Project which is now called CAAWLS. This organization recruits and certifies wellness animals for Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) services. Involvement with this company was both rewarding for my pup and myself. I also volunteer my time with Dogs With Wings (DWW). A non-profit organization that does amazing things. DWW is changing lives for the better by training dogs to be guide dogs, service dogs, autism dogs and more. Rest assured, your pet will be well loved and in good care during their stay with me.
About: I’ve taken care of pets since I started high school. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and play with their pets and make sure they are well taken care of! I have a senior dog currently so he needs a lot of attention and daily activity. I do my best to make him feel happy, healthy and cared for :) Usually I do drop-ins but I do in house sitting as long as it is within my preferred area! I make sure pets are comfortable and happy in their space while also playing and taking care of them.
About: I’ve had dogs in my house since I was very little. I’ve had puppies all the way up to our current senior dogs, one who is losing his vision and hearing. I enjoy walking and will treat your dog as my own. I work from home part time on a very limited/flexible schedule and have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry companion. I look forward to scheduling with you on a regular basis to fit your needs. Our dogs are given the best treatment. We train tricks and routines and remove bad behaviours only through positive reinforcement. One of our current dogs is a rescue dog and we have supported her in this manner.
About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life since I was around 4. I’ve been surrounded by cats and dogs, giving me lots of experience! I’ve had both cats and dogs my entire life, I’ve taken care of their daily needs since I was 10 years old. I make sure to have my schedule fit with letting my dogs out and feeding my animals. I am the biggest animal lover, I will spend time with dogs and cats over humans most of the time. I always keep an eye on the animals I’m taking care of, and I will always follow their schedules and needs!
“Karla was very kind and attentive to detail. I felt comfortable giving her directions about how to care for my dogs and she kept me updated throughout her time with them. She also kindly shared her coupon to help make the service more affordable for me which I really appreciated as a student. She checked in after the visit as well to make sure I was satisfied with how she left the dogs and my home and I really appreciated her help! I knew Jasper and Ruby were being well taken care of, thank you Karla!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leduc choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
