“We recently had the pleasure of having Sam look after our beloved bulldogs, Carlton and Stella, for a night as a trial run before our vacation. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. It’s no small feat to win over our dogs, who are very much like our children to us, but Sam did so with remarkable ease and grace. From the moment Sam stepped into our home, it was evident that she possesses a special kind of magic that animals are drawn to. Her ability to connect with Carlton and Stella was instantaneous, and the peace of mind that brought us cannot be overstated. It was a relief to see how comfortable they were with her, even in such a short period. Sam’s professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for animals shone through, making it clear that our dogs were not just being looked after, but were also being cared for, played with, and loved as if they were her own. The updates and photos we received further reassured us that we had made the right choice. We are already looking forward to working with Sam again and cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re seeking someone who will treat your pets with all the love, attention, and care they deserve, look no further than Sam. Our vacation will undoubtedly be more enjoyable knowing our furry family members are in the best hands possible. Thank you, Sam, for giving us the gift of peace of mind and for taking such wonderful care of Carlton and Stella. You’ve truly set a new standard for pet care, and we are so excited to have you as part of our extended family”

“Jessica was amazing! Our first time having someone stay at our house with our dog Gigi. She kept me updated with pictures & messages, which gave me reassurance and piece of mind. Gigi was in good hands, even cuddled up to Jessica at bedtime, too cute. They definitely made friends with each other. I will definitely be booking with Jessica again!!”

About: I have lifelong experience with dogs as I grew up having one. I have cats as well as an adult. I have also fostered many different animals over the recent years. I would love to take care of your fur baby. I only work part time and my kids are in school so I have plenty of time to play and care for your fur babies. I have a small but fenced yard for your pets to play in. I love taking dogs on long walks with my toddler. I know I can truly give your pet the love they deserve.
“This was our first experience using Rover and I was so happy Jessica was available to help us out. She stayed at our place and watched over our senior dog for 6 nights and they got along really well. She was friendly, clean and always very quick to respond to my messages. We even got pictures sent to us while we were away which was a nice way to keep in touch. I will definitely be reaching out to her again when we go away! Thanks Jessica!”

About: Hi! My name is Sam 🙋♀️I've had cats, days old bottle fed rescue kittens and multiple kittens litters, gerbils, and even a chinchilla growing up. Now I have a 9 year old 80lb American Bully, Odin, and almost 7 year old cat, Mittens. I also am currently doing daily potty breaks for two puppies, one being a senior dog for a couple who live in my parents neighborhood. My dog Odin is very high anxiety with many allergies and a skin condition. So I can understand the stress of making sure you are leaving your family members in the right care. I am highly compassionate and live by taking care and supporting people, animals and things that can be seen as vunerable or easily taken advantage of. I took a step back from my full-time job to be able to help my mom with some complicated medical issues she is dealing with. After working with these two puppies during the day and my love for my animals, I thought this may be the perfect opportunity to turn a hobby (animal loving) into a more full time job. Me, as a person, am very responsible, respectful, easy going, quiet, and empathetic. I have many hobbies like gardening, skiing, painting, camping, baking and golfing. My family of 2 step boys and Fiancé are all active and enjoy being outside. I am a certified nail technician aswell but mostly only do family and friends. I am currently helping my mom with general home care taking and errands. The hours a very flexible so I am able to work about your schedule! I love to go on walks so if allowed I could take them out for an evening walk or car ride. Play games in the backyard. Watch a movie together and cuddle up. Give them their favorite approved treats and tell them how much of a good boy they are haha
“Robin was great! She did 3 pre-visits (we booked her a month and a half in advance). She stayed in our home for almost three weeks. Gave us almost daily updates with pictures. Our two fur babies were calm and relaxed when we came home. The house was left clean and in order. Will be using her again when we go away!”

“We came home after a week holiday to three happy puppies. We received photos almost daily and our one puppy who has some quirks warmed right up to Brooke. We can not complain. Not only were Our puppies happy but our house well taken care of. We would recommend Brooke to take care of your puppies and home anytime.”
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for many years as well as have had many different kinds of pets, from dogs and cats to fish and turtles. I currently work full time in Beaumont. I am very reliable and trustworthy as well as respectful of peoples homes which I would be staying in to care for your sweet pets!

About: Whilst growing up i've always had a dog in my life to take care of weather its walking, dog sitting or caring. My LOVE for dogs will always be a big part of my life. I'm currently working at home whilst my wife is on maternity leave which gives us an incredible amount of free time to be able to look after your pets. I have a fenced yard plenty of room for them to play, i can also provide a couple of dog treats and some dog toys if they're aloud. I also live next to a very large dog park which is very convenient when it comes to taking them to stretch there legs.
“We were so thankful to have Ava housesit our dog Buddy and cat Bear while we were away for a few days! She was very kind, her communication was excellent, and she obviously cares a lot about animals and making your pets feel loved. Will absolutely book her again and would recommend her to anyone else!”
About: Having 2 dogs and 3 cats myself I will ensure the safety for your pet making sure the animals are always safe is a number 1 priority I’m currently working part time saving to go to university next year. Would love to visit with the pets on my days off or after my shifts I have a big backyard with a fence to allow the puppy’s to enjoy themselves while also ensuring their safety. Would love to take them on walks or to the dog park aswell
“Was a pleasure meeting Pam and having her care for our dogs was the best decision. They were so comfortable with her right away. She took wonderful care of them and our home. My dogs have a new best friend. Not sure if they even minded we were gone. We will definitely choose Pam to care for our fur babies in the future without hesitation.”

About: Hi my name is Mackenzie! Although my experience is limited when it comes to professional pet care, I myself had the privilege of having and taking care of our family dog; Gizmo, for over fourteen years. I understand the importance of keeping a dog happy and healthy and will treat your animal in the best way possible. As a responsible young woman who loves animals, I work hard and strive in any position thrown at me. Performing at the best of my abilities, I will protect and take care of your animal and your home with the utmost respect and diligence. I hope I have the opportunity to work with you and become welcome in your dog's heart and your own. Thank you and looking forward to working with you! I am currently on leave as an Assistant Director in the Film Industry and have lots of flexibility with week days and nights and weekends! Respect and trust are the pillars to any successful working environment. I promise to respect the pet and the owner and the environment in which they live and trust that they will do the same as we work together. Hoping that the trust runs through me as well as the owner leaving their animal in my care and understand that I am responsible, hard working and loving.
“Jesse sent regular updates as promised. The house was well looked after and was left in the same clean state as when we left. He maintained her grooming by giving her regular brushings. He asked for a text when we got home late at night to make sure Bailey was safe. We were very happy with the care he provided and would highly recommend his services.”

“Cassidy did a great job house sitting for us. Her knowledge and experience helped ease our concerns while away. She went above expected duties in cleaning up after some illness from one of our cats and administered meds as needed. She is punctual and communicative and follows directions well. We would look to have her house sit again at a future date.”
About: I’ve taken care of pets since I started high school. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and play with their pets and make sure they are well taken care of! I have a senior dog currently so he needs a lot of attention and daily activity. I do my best to make him feel happy, healthy and cared for :) Usually I do drop-ins but I do in house sitting as long as it is within my preferred area! I make sure pets are comfortable and happy in their space while also playing and taking care of them.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter than Samana! I was away for 10 days, and she took amazing care of my two cats and my home. Every day, she sent me plenty of updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My cats absolutely love her — they looked so happy and relaxed when I got back! She’s caring, responsible, and truly goes above and beyond. I highly recommend Samana to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets and home.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my house since I was very little. I’ve had puppies all the way up to our current senior dogs, one who is losing his vision and hearing. I enjoy walking and will treat your dog as my own. I work from home part time on a very limited/flexible schedule and have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry companion. I look forward to scheduling with you on a regular basis to fit your needs. Our dogs are given the best treatment. We train tricks and routines and remove bad behaviours only through positive reinforcement. One of our current dogs is a rescue dog and we have supported her in this manner.
About: I’ve always had a huge love for animals and have experience caring for many different types of pets. Along with my two dogs, I’ve spent years pet sitting dogs and cats for family friends and have experience caring for pets with different personalities, sizes, and needs. I’ve also previously owned a bearded dragon and lots of fish, so I’m comfortable learning and following care routines for animals beyond just cats and dogs. I’m responsible, patient, and very attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I genuinely love animals and take pride in making sure they feel safe, comfortable, cared for, and loved while their owners are away. I currently work part time and I’m in school but I’m available Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays after 2pm. I’m also available anytime on Saturdays but I’m only available on Sunday evenings :) I treat every client’s home and pets with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow all instructions closely, keep pets safe and supervised, and make sure doors, gates, and other areas are secure. I’m attentive to changes in a pet’s behaviour or health and will communicate with the owner if anything seems unusual. I also respect the home by keeping things clean, being mindful of belongings, and making sure everything is as it was when I arrived.
“This was a bit of a last-minute booking, but Richelle was absolutely amazing! She had her son and husband with her as well, and I was a little nervous about my dog being around her baby—not because he’s aggressive at all, but because he’s big and clumsy, and it had been a while since he’d been around a child under a year old. She was so understanding and comfortable with me staying when they first arrived, so we could see how he would do around the baby, and it went amazingly! Throughout their stay, she sent me regular updates and pictures, which I greatly appreciated. She even sent pictures of my dog and her son “playing” together! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

Jessica was amazing! Our first time having someone stay at our house with our dog Gigi. She kept me updated with pictures & messages, which gave me reassurance and piece of mind. We had Cassidy watch our two pups Kai and Koji, twice now, first from July 10th to the 20th while we were in Cape Breton, and again from August 13th to the 15th while were at our trailer, and we genuinely couldn't be happier with her care. Kai and Koji are not exactly small dogs. Kai is at least 120 lbs, and Koji is 95 lbs, and they both have absolutely no concept of their size 🙃. Because of how big and strong they both are, I do get nervous leaving them, especially with someone who hasn't cared for them before. Their size alone can make finding the right person a little intimidating, and I'm also just very, very, overprotective of my boys, which makes finding someone I truly trust even harder. Cassidy completely put those worries at ease. She followed every instruction I left for feeding, including weighing out their food and making sure their meals were prepared exactly as I asked. Koji can be a little bit of a challenge I'm gone, especially when it comes to eating. He will only eat his food if he's being spoon fed, and you cannot show any frustration while doing it because he gets nervous and will stop eating. It's honestly so ridiculous (I know 😂), but Cassidy had absolutely no problem with this and was incredibly patient and accommodating with him. She was always there on time in the mornings to let them out, spent lots of time with them, walked them, and had no issues getting them settled in for bed. Koji also absolutely adored her little boy, Lucass. They got along so well, and Koji was more than happy to give him lots of kisses ❤️. I had mentioned that I was a little nervous about having Lucass around Kai simply because he is such a large dog and his tail is basically a weapon. It wasn't that I was nervous Kai would hurt him, I just wanted to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. Cassidy was incredibly respectful of that concern and was very mindful of it throughout their time together. Communication with Cassidy was also amazing. She was always quick to respond when I asked about the pups, sent pictures, wasn't scared to ask questions, and kept me updated. One time she wasn't able to come herself, and so her husband came to let the dogs out instead. She made sure to check in with me beforehand so I knew someone else would be coming, which I really appreciated. She brought in packages, started our dishwasher before we got home, which was awesome. I also want to mention how much this meant to me personally. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to leaving our boys with people we don't know, especially because we've had some genuinely awful experiences with previous dog sitters. One sitter actually stopped showing up for several days without telling us, leaving our dogs locked inside while we were away without food, or being let out to go to the bathroom. Because of experiences like that, leaving them usually has me checking my phone constantly to make sure they're okay. With Cassidy, I didn't feel that way. I actually felt comfortable enough to relax and enjoy our trip knowing they were being cared for. Both my fiance and I have been incredibly impressed with Cassidy. We are so happy we found her, and have absolutely found our new dog sitter. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, responsible, and genuinely wonderful with their pets. Thanks so much for taking care of our boys 🐶💙🐶.

This was our first time leaving our dog Hudson, so we were understandably anxious and worried leading up to our trip. Sam immediately put our minds at ease with her frequent communication, photos, and updates throughout our time away. It was so reassuring to see how happy and comfortable Hudson was with her, and it was clear that she genuinely cared for him and treated him like her own. We came home to a happy pup and a spotless house, and truly could not have asked for a better experience or sitter. We are so grateful to Sam for taking such wonderful care of Hudson and our home. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter and we can’t wait to have her back again in the future!

We couldn’t be happier with the care our pets received! She was incredibly responsible, kept us updated, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a spotless house, and it was clear our pets had been loved and well cared for. The best part was seeing how comfortable and happy our animals were with her. It’s such a relief to know we have someone we can trust, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!

Shane and Tracy continue to deliver excellent care to our pets! We were away for 2 weeks and they were there throughout missed flights, travel delays, and changes in schedule, ensuring our pets were looked after until we landed. I can't think of a better example of what you'd want when someone is looking after your pets - they're just awesome!

The average cost for House Sitting in Leduc on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 635 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Leduc. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Leduc maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Leduc walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leduc choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
