I have two German Shepherds, so for everyone's safety and comfort, I require all guest dogs to be crate trained, and owners must provide their dog's crate. Dogs take turns having free time in the house so everyone gets one-on-one attention and a chance to relax without feeling overwhelmed. When it's their turn, they're welcome to enjoy the furniture and even sleep on my bed if that's what they're used to at home. When they're not out, they rest comfortably in their crate with fresh water and a cozy space to relax. Your dog's well-being is my priority, and I'll follow their feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any special instructions you provide to make sure they feel as comfortable and at home as possible.

Kipper was a great friend for Lenny to play with and I could tell right away that they were going to be awesome playmates. Thanks for updating me through the day, with super cute pictures of him sunbathing in the backyard and cuddling your family! It was a relief and allowed me to focus on the things I had to get done. I’m so greatful to have found your daycare and will definitely bring Lenny back when I need support like you’ve given today. You are a kind, animal loving soul and I wish you goodness. See you again! Thank you again too!”

About: Missing going on walks with my labs on the farm. Would love to give some doggies care and exercise —my cat is NOT about the leash life. I work on the South side 7:00-3:30, Monday to Friday. Available for both early morning and evening walks on weekdays. Available anytime during the weekend. I have experience with many different breeds and temperaments of dogs, as I used to volunteer at the Edmonton Humane Society dog walking the shelter dogs. I do have a fenced yard if off leash time is better suited for your dog. Felix (my cat) can attest he gets all the attention but I also know when he wants personal space. Cats know what they want.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Leduc
Absolutely amazing! Took great care of our dog, Buddy. He’s a big dog and they all had absolutely no problem taking care of him. Took him for walks, kept us up to speed. Very kind and helpful with anything and everything dog related. They treated him like he was their own. Thank you to Damara and Tye. They are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Natalie and Mathieu were awesome with my 2 dogs. I couldn't have asked for better care. They were friendly, caring and professional. They were genuinely excited to spend time with my dogs. Communication was excellent and they sent pictures of the busy days they had. My dogs were happy and comfortable staying with them and I would definitely take the dogs to them in the future. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such capable and caring hands I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent care of their pets.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
