Robin was great! She did 3 pre-visits (we booked her a month and a half in advance). She stayed in our home for almost three weeks. Gave us almost daily updates with pictures. Our two fur babies were calm and relaxed when we came home. The house was left clean and in order. Will be using her again when we go away!

This was the first time I have ever tried getting sitters for my dogs. I was super nervous as my dogs are very high energy and I have never left them alone with people I don't know well! Stacy and her husband Adam were absolutely amazing. They sent me frequent updates and definitely put my mind at ease while I was away for 2 days! I couldn't have asked for anyone better to stay with my babies. Thank you both so much for everything!

We recently had the pleasure of having Sam look after our beloved bulldogs, Carlton and Stella, for a night as a trial run before our vacation. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. It’s no small feat to win over our dogs, who are very much like our children to us, but Sam did so with remarkable ease and grace. From the moment Sam stepped into our home, it was evident that she possesses a special kind of magic that animals are drawn to. Her ability to connect with Carlton and Stella was instantaneous, and the peace of mind that brought us cannot be overstated. It was a relief to see how comfortable they were with her, even in such a short period. Sam’s professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for animals shone through, making it clear that our dogs were not just being looked after, but were also being cared for, played with, and loved as if they were her own. The updates and photos we received further reassured us that we had made the right choice. We are already looking forward to working with Sam again and cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re seeking someone who will treat your pets with all the love, attention, and care they deserve, look no further than Sam. Our vacation will undoubtedly be more enjoyable knowing our furry family members are in the best hands possible. Thank you, Sam, for giving us the gift of peace of mind and for taking such wonderful care of Carlton and Stella. You’ve truly set a new standard for pet care, and we are so excited to have you as part of our extended family

This was our first experience using Rover and I was so happy Jessica was available to help us out. She stayed at our place and watched over our senior dog for 6 nights and they got along really well. She was friendly, clean and always very quick to respond to my messages. We even got pictures sent to us while we were away which was a nice way to keep in touch. I will definitely be reaching out to her again when we go away! Thanks Jessica!

We came home after a week holiday to three happy puppies. We received photos almost daily and our one puppy who has some quirks warmed right up to Brooke. We can not complain. Not only were Our puppies happy but our house well taken care of. We would recommend Brooke to take care of your puppies and home anytime.

Cassidy did a great job house sitting for us. Her knowledge and experience helped ease our concerns while away. She went above expected duties in cleaning up after some illness from one of our cats and administered meds as needed. She is punctual and communicative and follows directions well. We would look to have her house sit again at a future date.

About: I’ve always had a huge love for animals and have experience caring for many different types of pets. Along with my two dogs, I’ve spent years pet sitting dogs and cats for family friends and have experience caring for pets with different personalities, sizes, and needs. I’ve also previously owned a bearded dragon and lots of fish, so I’m comfortable learning and following care routines for animals beyond just cats and dogs. I’m responsible, patient, and very attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I genuinely love animals and take pride in making sure they feel safe, comfortable, cared for, and loved while their owners are away. I currently work part time and I’m in school but I’m available Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays after 2pm. I’m also available anytime on Saturdays but I’m only available on Sunday evenings :) I treat every client’s home and pets with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow all instructions closely, keep pets safe and supervised, and make sure doors, gates, and other areas are secure. I’m attentive to changes in a pet’s behaviour or health and will communicate with the owner if anything seems unusual. I also respect the home by keeping things clean, being mindful of belongings, and making sure everything is as it was when I arrived.

Jesse sent regular updates as promised. The house was well looked after and was left in the same clean state as when we left. He maintained her grooming by giving her regular brushings. He asked for a text when we got home late at night to make sure Bailey was safe. We were very happy with the care he provided and would highly recommend his services.

About: I’ve had dogs in my house since I was very little. I’ve had puppies all the way up to our current senior dogs, one who is losing his vision and hearing. I enjoy walking and will treat your dog as my own. I work from home part time on a very limited/flexible schedule and have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry companion. I look forward to scheduling with you on a regular basis to fit your needs. Our dogs are given the best treatment. We train tricks and routines and remove bad behaviours only through positive reinforcement. One of our current dogs is a rescue dog and we have supported her in this manner.

Looking forward to choosing her to care for our pets in the future! Highly recommend.

Gail was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was quick to reply right from the start of our interaction and maintained great communication while carefully and affectionately caring for my dog and kitty. She was very attentive to my senior dog’s needs, ensuring he was safe and comfortable in our home at all times while we were away on holidays. She was very organized, taking notes to ensure she remembered every detail and instruction before we left and even checked in to make sure we were okay with her sending photos of our animals while we were away. I would happily hire Gail again and highly recommend her to anyone seeking animal care. 10/10!!!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Gigi was in good hands, even cuddled up to Jessica at bedtime, too cute. They definitely made friends with each other. I will definitely be booking with Jessica again!!

This was a bit of a last-minute booking, but Richelle was absolutely amazing! She had her son and husband with her as well, and I was a little nervous about my dog being around her baby—not because he’s aggressive at all, but because he’s big and clumsy, and it had been a while since he’d been around a child under a year old. She was so understanding and comfortable with me staying when they first arrived, so we could see how he would do around the baby, and it went amazingly! Throughout their stay, she sent me regular updates and pictures, which I greatly appreciated. She even sent pictures of my dog and her son “playing” together! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Lyra was, without a doubt, the most skilled, patient and friendly dog sitter (and trainer!!!) we have EVER had. Our dogs adored her, and she went above and beyond to train our new rescue dog, working on his fears, barking and leash pulling. I didn’t worry once about either dog, we were updated frequently with pics and training progress, and we came home to HAPPY, brushed dogs and a spotlessly clean house. I can’t recommend Lyra enough!!! Amazing.

About: I’ve grown up with and cared for mostly medium to large dogs, with energy levels ranging from calm, easygoing pups to high-energy walkers. I’m confident handling stronger dogs and tailoring walks to their needs—whether that’s a relaxed pace or burning off some zoomies. I’m attentive, patient, and prioritize safety, while also bringing lots of playfulness and “fun aunt” energy to every visit. I work full-time Monday to Friday, but I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting in the evenings, with flexible availability on weekends. I’m intentional about the time I spend with each pet, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and consistency in their routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. Living in an apartment means all outdoor time is supervised, with regular walks and structured routines tailored to your dog’s energy level. I’m confident handling medium to large dogs and always focus on safe, attentive walks. In your home, I’m respectful, clean, and follow your pet’s routine closely to keep things consistent and stress-free. You can expect regular updates, lots of attention, and a calm, reliable presence.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Beaumont on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 638 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Beaumont. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Beaumont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Beaumont walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Beaumont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
