Robin was great! She did 3 pre-visits (we booked her a month and a half in advance). She stayed in our home for almost three weeks. Gave us almost daily updates with pictures. Our two fur babies were calm and relaxed when we came home. The house was left clean and in order. Will be using her again when we go away!

As always we felt our pets (a few of which were high needs) were safe and loved while we were away. I really enjoy Sam’s updates as well - also went above and beyond for things around the house - thanks so much Sam!

About: I’ve always been the person who says hi to the pets before the people. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s personality. I have two reactive dogs, so I understand patience, body language, and meeting pets where they’re at—whether that’s a confident adventure buddy or a more cautious, slow-to-warm-up friend. I’m also very comfortable with cats and their very specific opinions on everything. My goal is simple: keep your pets safe, happy, and cared for! I have reduced hours at work during the summer so I have plenty of time of extra time to fill with your dogs! I can do over nights, afternoon walks and weekend care! I provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay in their familiar environment and keep their normal routine. I follow their usual feeding, walk, play, and medication schedules as closely as possible to help reduce stress while their owners are away. I have experience with reactive dogs, so I’m comfortable reading body language, managing triggers, and using patience and calm handling to keep pets feeling safe. I take things at each pet’s pace, whether they’re energetic, shy, or need a little extra space. I’m also very comfortable caring for cats and understand the importance of letting them come to me on their terms. I’m happy to provide regular updates with photos and notes so you always know how your pet is doing.

Cassidy did a great job house sitting for us. Her knowledge and experience helped ease our concerns while away. She went above expected duties in cleaning up after some illness from one of our cats and administered meds as needed. She is punctual and communicative and follows directions well. We would look to have her house sit again at a future date.

About: I've had dogs and cats most of my life until the last few years. I can provide care as needed by you and your pets. I'm flexible with availability. I can work around different schedules, in many instances, to allow for different care needs for feeding or walks, or play. I treat them as my own, feeding, playing, or just giving attention based on the needs of you, or your pets, while you are away.

Paige took such wonderful care of my dog, Lyra, while house sitting over the weekend. She was polite, respectful, and incredibly trustworthy from start to finish. What really stood out were the thoughtful updates she sent throughout the weekend, complete with photos of Lyra enjoying her walks, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear Lyra was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I came home to a relaxed pup and a well-looked-after home, and it was obvious Lyra had been genuinely loved on while I was gone. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paige to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter—she’s truly a gem, and I’d happily have her back anytime!

Little did we know when we left on the Friday of a long weekend that we were not only leaving Ankita to look after our dogs, but also to weather one of the biggest storms in Ottawa history and look after our home as well. We are beyond grateful for Ankita and her husband for making sure we came home from our trip to a clean house and well looked after pups. Thank you Ankita, we would happily have you stay at our home again.

I was nervous to leave for a night without my dogs. Ava had fantastic communication while we were away and kept me up to date. When I came home my puppies were happy and seemed to be at ease. Unfortunately she had to deal with my dog making a mess, and she dealt with it without any hesitation and was understanding. 10/10 Would recommend!

Jesse sent regular updates as promised. The house was well looked after and was left in the same clean state as when we left. He maintained her grooming by giving her regular brushings. He asked for a text when we got home late at night to make sure Bailey was safe. We were very happy with the care he provided and would highly recommend his services.

About: Ive been working with all sorts of animals all my life, I'm very enthusiastic about any work that involves them. I have years of experience in many different animals, including reptiles. Animals have a natural gravitation towards me and I'm very patient and loving with any and all animals no matter how much attitude they can give. Dogs require a firm yet gentle soul to care for them and I believe that I provide just that. Any time I get to spend with animals is time well spent! My daily life is taking care and managing animals at home; I love waking up with a purpose of aiding and spending time with these cute little creatures I'd care for your animals if your home; mine has multiple cats with different personalities so its best to keep them separate from others. Any thing I can do to provide them with comfort and happiness is my main goal.

This was our first time leaving our two dogs with a petsitter, so we were a little apprehensive, but our experience with Sara P. was amazing! She provided us with regular updates and photographs during our week away. We returned home to happy and well-cared for pups, watered plants, and a clean home. We will definitely be using her petsititing services again.

We had Aleithia come stay at our house with our dogs, cats, fish, and bunnies and she was wonderful! She communicated well, updated us on how the animals were doing, and followed all our instructions perfectly! Our animals are part of our family and we are so grateful God sent us such a great person to watch over them (bonus she kept our house exactly as we left it too!). Thanks Aleithia!!🙌🏻🙌🏻

FAQs for House Sitting - Beaumont

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Beaumont on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 645 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Beaumont. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Beaumont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Beaumont walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Beaumont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
