“What a joy to have such lovely people take care of my little monster. Tuffy is 14, so a little bit special needs and of course needs a lot of love and attention. In every photo I could see how happy and relaxed she was. I was almost afraid she wouldn't want to come home with me when I went to pick her up! lol”

“Deborah/Mark- were excellent with Texas and had great communication with me through the entire stay. Lots of walks and play time with taking Texas to the dog park several times. The home was very clean and homely.”

“I selfishly don’t want to tell the world how amazing Connie is because I secretly want to keep her sitting skills all to myself! But alas, my conscience (and my dog) won’t let me. Connie was incredible! My dog was happier than a dog in a peanut store. I don’t know how I feel about how happy he looked to be rid of me relaxing with Connie on the couch. Probably would have stayed if I let him (sorry, I thought I was the favourite, but clearly not anymore). Connie’s and her partner are an amazing and caring couple. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my Duke moving forward. If you need a dog watcher, be warned: your pup may love her more than you!”

“Wei and Long provided excellent care for our two dogs for a long stay of 2 weeks. We've never left our dogs before and were able to relax knowing they were extremely happy being able to run free in Wei and Long's beautiful back yard. They kept us updated daily with pics and videos and ensured our dogs were well looked after. We highly recommend them!”

“Friendly and professional. The photo updates put me even more at ease, seeing that he was enjoying himself. That there is a dog run nearby and he’s taken for night walks was a bonus.”

“Heather was very attentive to my Snuxwa and is an amazing communicator making my worries go away with pictures of how he was doing. Prompt responses and open to changes.”

“Chelsea was very responsive and accommodating. I called at the last minute she had no problem taking our Airedale Terrier. Such a help know that Zeus would have a good place to stay while we were away - thank you Chelsea.”

“Kris was so helpful! All questions I asked were answered promptly and clearly, and while Aniol my nearly two year old dog stayed at Kris's family home, he seemed to have a safe and comfortable experience! I was so grateful for updates in words and pictures! We will certainly bring Aniol to Kris's again.”

“Here’s the translation: It was Chai’s first time staying away from home, and we treated it as a trial run for a longer stay. Minerva was very open and kind about all our worries and questions, and she made sure to take care of Chai in every detail, always sending us updates and little news. Now Chai will be staying with her for 15 days, and we’re certain she’ll be extremely well cared for, with lots of love and attention.”

“April and her husband were great with my corgi! They really made the effort to learn as much about my dog as possible so that they can keep him on the same routine and boundaries :) They have a wonderful backyard for dogs to play in and my dog definitely had a blast! Thanks for taking such great care of Biscuit 😊”

“Zoe truly cares wonderful about taking care of Josie. She was very accommodating and easy to connect with. She sent lots of photos and videos for me, so I always knew Josie was safe and having a good time. With her experience as a vet tech, Zoe makes sure that my pet is safe and gets all the attention she needs, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. I highly recommend everyone to book with Zoe. I will definitely book with her again!”

“This is my second time leaving Eggie to Liz. I would like to express my deepest thanks for Liz for taking such wonderful care of Eggie while I was way. During my vacation, Liz treated Eggie not just as a pet, but as a true member or her family. She took him on daily walks and playtimes, sent me so many lovely photos, brushed his teeth, trimmed his fur, and even included him in her family gatherings. Knowing that Eggie was so loved and cared for gave me complete peace of mind throughout my trip. When I came to pick him up and saw her in tears, I was truly touched-it shows just how much heart she put into caring for him. Liz is such a wonderful sitter! Thanks again!”

“My experience with Rachael was top notch. She went above and beyond for my dog, Hudson, with updates and photos for me, and a fun, safe and loving experience for him. The icing on the cake is that she is so lovely and accommodating! I wouldn’t hesitate to book Rachael again and to recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter who you can trust and count on!”

“Walter and Angela were great with my 4 year old dog. When I picked my dog up she was happy and tired out. I boarded my girl with them for 2 nights. Walter went out of his way to take my pup on adventures around the neighborhood, and to play her favorite game (chase and fetch). Walter sent a lovely video of my dog enjoying the safety of their super nice enclosed backyard while they played chase. He was also very responsive to my texts. My pup got so much love and attention while she stayed there. I will book with Walter again.”

“Riley has boarded at Lu’s twice now and both times I received a happy puppy back. Riley always has friends to play with at Lu’s and she really enjoys the outdoor space. Lu was great with communication and photos/videos and I knew Riley was in good hands. Will use her again for sure.”

“Robin was lovely to deal with. She's very responsive and seems to genuinely care for dogs. Lola seemed comfy with her right away and seemed well taken care of for the two nights she stayed with Robin.”

“We had a great experience with Randona. She took care of Nala very well. She was very prompt in her response and shared regular updates with pictures and videos. She took Nala for long walks and has a very good dog park nearby, which is very helpful. We were initially anxious as Nala had never stayed with cats, but, she was perfectly fine :). Highly recommended !”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Langley
We had the best experience with Alice. She is so caring and sweet. You can tell she really cares because she genuinely wants to get to know you and your pup prior to drop off to ensure that her pup, and the environment would be a good fit from both ends - meet and greet at a park for a walk with the pups & meet and greet off leash in the back yard for my pup to familiarize himself with the environment. Bear adjusted really well during his stay. We appreciated all the pictures and updates we received and felt that Bear was really well cared for. We will definitely be booking in the future!

This was the second time we booked with Brooklyn and Nicole. Our pup stayed with them for nearly 2 weeks and it was such a blessing being able to relax on our vacation and not worry about her. We got numerous daily updates and they were always quick to respond. Thanks again 🙏🏼☺️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
