“I couldnt recommend Louis enough! He pampered my pup and treated her like royalty! He was in constant communication and sent lots of photos. He and his family are some of the warmest people I’ve met, 11/10! :)”

“Friendly and professional. The photo updates put me even more at ease, seeing that he was enjoying himself. That there is a dog run nearby and he’s taken for night walks was a bonus.”

“Kelsey and Chris were so fantastic with our Shiba inu, Mochi! They were very flexible with pick up and drop off times which we appreciated because we had a commitment come up and Mochi needed to stay a little bit longer than originally agreed upon! We met first for a meet and greet, which went fantastic and we did a trial night before we leave her for an extended period of time this summer. They were completely understanding and accommodating of all her funny little quirks, and their dog Dottie got along great with Mochi. Highly recommended!”

“This was my first time experience with Rover and I couldn’t be more happy with their wonderful care. It was a great experience for my dog too! Highly recommend! Thank you! We enjoyed”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I have two dogs back home and one dog here in Canada. I walk and run with them three times a day. I also feed them and play with them using toys. I took a lot of lessons after having my dogs, including their behaviors, the best ways to take care of them and the symptoms of them being sick. I love animals so much that my mom said I couldn’t sleep without my dog staying under my bed. I have tons of treats and toys at home. I hope to have the chance to help you look after your dogs and make both of you happy :) Looking forward to meet your babies! Walk 2-3 times at least a day, can adjust schedule based on requests. My partner has his own photo studio in Richmond that he can bring dogs to the space and engage with them during the day if you are up for it. Fenced yard, crate available, can feed raw, freeze dried, or kibble/can. Our own dog is eating raw and I have extensive knowledge about this diet!
“Luanne is absolutely wonderful. She sent daily updates and photos of my girls. Luanne is kind, sweet and super nice. I will leave my girls with her again for sure. Thanks so much for caring for my 2 shitzus.”
“Wei and Long went above and beyond to take care of our dog, even losing sleep to take care of him when sick, I would highly recommend them and will book with them again in the future”

“Happy dog! Happy dog-mom! Chelsea was so caring-- especially during a hot spell. I trust her. It was such a relief to know our dog was in good hands so we could focus on our trip.”

“Denise was wonderful! We've never left our dog with anyone but family before, Denise made us feel so comfortable right away! We had no worries leaving our dog with her, it made our trip even better knowing we didn't have to worry about him while we were gone! She sent pictures and updates on how he was doing. It was overall a great experience!”

“It was our first time leaving our dogs with anybody. Catherine kept us updated everyday with pictures and in for all the dogs. I would highly recommend Catherine. They gave us feedback on how the dogs behaved. I would like to apologize if the barking was to much! I would definitely use Cathrine and Greg again. Thank you again for taking awesome care of our pups.”

“Julie and her husband are fantastic people. My dog was so happy to be there, that she didn't want to leave lol. They are great with communication, and sending pics/videos. I definitely recommend her for all your dog needs!!!! I will continue to use her often.”

“Denise and Paul are a gentle and loving couple, and they made our dogs, Dudley and Daisy feel so comfortable. They got spoiled rotten! They're pouting right now, as we only picked them up a couple of hours ago, and I think they are feeling cheated!”

“This was the first time we left our dog behind to go on a trip. Jielei and Tony made everything from booking to drop off as easy as possible. We loved the care they showed toward our dog indlcuding regular updates of him playing.”

“Liz was an amazing sitter! Communication was easy throughout the stay and I felt more at ease with the updates as it was my dogs first stay. Definitely will be rebooking with Liz again. Thank you!”

“Walter and Angela are a caring couple who love dogs. My dog Lucy was in their care Friday -Sunday at their home. They have a big house and big backyard. Although I was concerned about the gate in the back I was confident that they would be able to handle Lucy. I did hear that Lucy when peeing out the back escaped the backyard into the neighborhood. However Walter and Angela were quick about letting me know and tracking down Lucy as fast and safely as possible. They assured me they would find her and they did. Thankfully with their quick response they were able to find Lucy and pick her up from a neighbour. They found her from the pound being notified of a puppy in their back yard. They safely and promptly secured our dear Lucy. They then kept her safe for the next night and I picked up Lucy on Sunday which she seemed happy and excited. Thank you so much for taking care of Lucy 🙏🏼☺️”

“Auggie always has the best time with Lu & Snowey when he’s there for daycare and his stay for boarding was no different. Lu really goes above and beyond to make sure he is getting all of needs met and more. I also really appreciate the frequent updates and fun pictures and videos!”

“I can’t recommend April enough! She did an amazing job taking care of my dog, Teddy, while I was away. Teddy can be a bit particular, but April was so patient, attentive, and caring. She kept me updated with messages and pictures, which gave me peace of mind. When I came back, Teddy was happy, well-fed, and clearly had a great time. If you’re looking for someone responsible and loving to take care of your pup, April is the best choice! I’ll definitely be booking with her again, thank you for making me feel at ease.”

“I kept Cocoa with Lisa and her kids for second time. She took excellent care of Cocoa for 8 nights, going above and beyond to ensure she was happy and healthy. She regularly sent me photos, keeping me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind. I was especially impressed by how attentive she was to Cocoa's ear infection. Cocoa was clearly in great hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her services again. Thank you for everything Lisa.”

Thank you thank you to Shalaine for her excellent care of our dog, Chester. He wasn’t eating well before the stay and Shalaine provided him with home cooked meals. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Shalaine’s entire family pampered Chester and kept him very happy during his time with them.

Shanelle is so incredible with my dog Mylo!! I have had Mylo stay with Shanelle multiple times and will continue to do so in the future. She is so accommodating and I always feel confident that Mylo is being cared for in the best way possible. So grateful to have found such a loving family that Mylo can stay with when I am away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
