About: Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I emigrated to Canada in 2020. After spending a few years in Toronto, I moved to Halifax in February 2025. If you take your dog(s) to Point Pleasant Park, there's a good chance that you have bumped into me and my little black Patterdale Terrier (Calvin) already! I've been around and looked after dogs most of my life. Growing up, I had a Border Collie and looked after my uncle's German Shepherd, and whenever we go home to my in-laws' house, I love spending time with their huge Golden Retriever. Calvin and I are enjoying exploring Halifax and the surrounding areas. Calvin is very friendly and loves the company of other dogs. I offer dog boarding and daycare services. I have a seasonal job (April to December) where I work from home. There is a degree of flexibility with my job, so I can nip out with the dogs for frequent potty breaks if necessary, and can take them out in the car to somewhere they can run around and get some exercise before and after work, (if your dog has poor recall, I have an extra long training leash). During the winter months, I will be available for dog walking services in addition to boarding and daycare. When staying with us, be it for boarding or daycare, rest assured, your dog will be well looked after. There will be a good walk each morning and early evening. During the day, there will be lots of playtime, cuddles, physical and mental stimulation (and potty breaks if necessary). I am not a professional dog trainer, but I do enjoy the training process. If there is something that you are working on with your dog at home, let me know about it (what your goal is, what command/signals you use), and I will try to continue the training during the stay. Do not be surprised if your dog needs a good snooze after leaving our care! Lol.
About: I have 12+ years experience with dogs. And I currently own a 1 year old Golden Retriever who also loves animals! I will ensure your pets are safely taken care of up to your standards. Most of my late Afternoons are free throughout the week, and have 1-2 days completely free to take care of any animal. I work as a Massage Therapist so I am usually busy 5-6 hours a day, 4-6 days a week. I live in a 24 hour secure extremely pet friendly building. There is plenty of space for your dog to walk, or to take breaks outside of my home. I can easily crate your dog if needed.

Trish was absolutely great with our dog Busky. We were kept updated on his stay as we had requested. As an anxious cat mom, I couldn't be more grateful to Yue. She created a true home away from home for my 4-month-old kitten, Bingley, and cared for him as if he was her own. She made sure he stayed hydrated with multiple water fountains, followed his eating schedule to a tee, kept him engaged with his favourite toys. When it was time to rest, Bingley had plenty of cozy spots to choose from, let alone panoramic windows to rest in the sun. Yue sent multiple updates every day, making sure I know the kitten is healthy and happy. I never once had to worry. Bingley quickly bonded with her cats, Golden and Pablo, who became sweet and gentle older brothers to him. After a very brief hesitation, they were playing together, sharing meals and napping side by side. With Yue, I knew my kitten was safe, healthy, happy and loved. I would be happy to make her my only boarder, and I couldn't recommend her more
We had a great experience with Shawna and family. They were very attentive, provided regular updates/pictures, and were flexible with pickup/dropoff. We were able to enjoy our vacation without the usual guilt because we knew our dog was in good hands. Highly recommend!
Olivia did a wonderful job with Jasper. He is an older dog so he needs a patient person who is kind. Olivia showed that she was interested in Jasper and asked about his usual routine. She got him to eat regularly which he doesn't always do when he is left with someone for a few days. I recommend Olivia, Jasper had a great experience with her!
Jeff was fantastic with our dog, Astro. First time using rover with Jeff and we would 100% again with Jeff as he was great at keeping us up to date and informed of Astros well being. Zakia is amazing! She took care of my cat, Anova, for 20 days while I was traveling abroad, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, Zakia was attentive, loving, and followed all my care instructions, including Anova’s feeding routine and other needs. They bonded really well! Although anova took some time to get used to the change, she felt right at home, which gave me so much peace of mind. Zakia was also responsive and accommodating, even when I had difficulties communicating from overseas. Her regular updates (with photos) reassured me that Anova was happy and well cared for.
