About: I have experience with different animals from small dogs to larger breeds > 100lbs I don’t have any pets of my own but I have volunteered at animal shelters walking dogs and giving pets and cuddles to the cats I enjoy walking in the river valley, checking out new neighbourhoods, hiking, and taking advantage of any opportunity to be around animals I am currently working part-time/ casual so my schedule varies but I mostly work evenings and have mornings and weekends off. If there is a stretch of time that will be needed, I can accommodate if sufficient notice is given I would ensure the dog is given a long/short walk depending on needs, letting out to use the bathroom and routine feeding. Lots of play time with balls or toys Cats- I will cuddle or play with your cat(s), feed if needed, clean litter as well
“This was a last minute booking and we very much appreciate Tina’s/Jeremy’s flexibility. Tina loves our Willow and Willow feels great after seeing her. We will continue to use Tina in the future!”

About: Animals have been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and cats, and I’ve shared my home with beloved cats for most of my adult life. Over the years I’ve also co-habited with small and medium dogs, cared for senior pets, and supported many animals through the last gentle stages of their lives. My professional background is in environmental science (35 years), a path I chose out of love and devotion to animals, wildlife, and the natural world. Outside of work, I spent years volunteering with animals — from supporting elephants and reptiles at the Valley Zoo to caring for over 70 elephants at an orphanage in Sri Lanka. I even trained one elephant, Devi, to paint using positive reinforcement. I’ve also cared for small exotic pets, including ball pythons and a garter snake. Today, I bring all of that experience into calm, compassionate, reliable pet care for dogs, cats, and small animals. I’m gentle, observant, patient, and very attuned to the emotional needs of animals — especially seniors or those who are shy, anxious, or needing extra support. Skills & Care Abilities: Administering medications with confidence: pills, injections, liquid meds via syringe, and puffers for dogs and cats Handling senior or special-needs pets with patience and gentleness Cat nail trims Dog bathing and brushing; cat brushing (hairless cat bathing and grooming) Experience with freshwater and saltwater aquariums Comfortable with reptiles and other small animals Master Gardener/Composter certified (City of Edmonton) — happy to care for plants, yards, and gardens as well Calm, confident, experienced around all animal personalities Clear communication and daily updates I’m recently retired, which allows me to offer steady, unhurried, fully present care for the animals I look after. When I’m not volunteering in Asia or Costa Rica, I work quietly from home doing computer-based volunteer work — which means your pet will have company, consistency, and a peaceful environment throughout the day. Because my schedule is flexible, I’m able to take dogs out for frequent walks, playtime, and pee breaks, tailored to their age and energy level. I’m equally happy to spend long, calm stretches with small dogs or cats curled up on my lap. I genuinely enjoy the simple companionship of animals, whether that means gentle snuggles, quiet presence, or attentive support for senior pets needing extra patience. My home routine is calm, predictable, and nurturing — ideal for pets who thrive with kindness, attentiveness, and a steady rhythm. Because I specialise in caring for cats and small dogs in their own familiar environment, my focus is always on creating a safe, calm, and reassuring experience for your pet while you’re away. In Your Home (House Sitting & In-Home Care) Your pet’s comfort and routine come first. I follow your instructions closely — feeding times, walks, medications, bedtime rituals, favourite toys, and comfort preferences. I maintain a quiet, predictable environment, and I am attentive to small changes in behaviour, appetite, or energy level. I double-check doors, gates, and windows to prevent escapes I ensure safe handling during comings and goings I keep a tidy, hazard-free space I send regular updates with photos so you always feel connected I provide lots of gentle companionship, cuddles, lap time, and enrichment Cats and small dogs often bond quickly with me due to my calm presence and decades of experience. Drop-In Visits For drop-ins, I offer flexible, attentive care — feeding, litter cleaning, short walks, medication administration, brushing, playtime, or simply quiet company if your pet prefers. I take care to observe how your pet is feeling each visit and adjust my approach accordingly. Overall Approach With lifelong experience with animals — including senior pets, pets needing medication, and shy or anxious animals — I bring patience, reliability, and a gentle, steady energy. My background in environmental science and animal care has taught me to be observant, respectful, and attentive to detail. Your home and your pet are treated with the utmost care, respect, and kindness.

About: I have had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. So you could say that pet care has come second nature to me. From feeding to medication I am your girl! Full disclosure, I do have two part time jobs and am hoping to work this into my free time! If you are looking for someone who is available 24/7 I may not be the best fit. Though I am willing to accommodate! I am very attentive, willing to cater to any needs you and your pet may have! I am open to staying over night as needed.
“Christopher was absolutely amazing! We had Chris house sit for two weeks and he made sure not only visit multiple times a day for bathroom breaks and feeding but also stayed for extended periods at a time to ensure my dog wasn’t lonely and bored. Chris also ensured to leave the house in the exact same state that I had left it in which is great appreciated. He also provided updates throughout the time as well and I felt like I always knew exactly what was going on back home. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a sitter while they are away!”

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was a child, and animals have always been a big part of my life. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with feeding, grooming, walking, bathing, and both potty and crate training. I’ve also helped with basic obedience training and understand the patience and consistency pets need to feel safe and happy. Friends, family, and neighbors regularly trust me with their pets, knowing I treat every animal as my own. I’m dependable, gentle, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I currently work remote, so have a lot of flexibility to board at my home and attend to your pets needs throughout their stay or visit your home and take care of walks, potty breaks, play time, and grooming. I have a fully fenced yard in my townhouse so dogs can enjoy safe, supervised time outside. Inside, pets are welcome to enjoy furniture, yes, that includes the couch. I keep my space clean and pet-friendly and free of hazards. When I care for pets in a clients home, I do my best to maintain their usual routines and respect their habits and space. I'm mindful and tidy and make sure pets have access to fresh water and clean litter boxes, and lots of attention. My focus is to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable.
“Stephen took excellent care of our pets and our home. He stayed at our home for just over 3 weeks while we were out of the country and we had complete piece of mind with him taking care of our 3 cats and our dog. Stephen was very responsive and clear with communication. He also ensured that he visited a couple of times before house sitting so that our anxious dog would be more comfortable with him. I completely recommend Stephen for your pet needs!”

“Emily looked after our shy rescue Goldendoodle for a week, while we went on holidays. She did an amazing job!!! Emily truly loves dogs! She is currently taking a professional dog walking course! She was in contact with us the entire time! She sent us photos and videos throughout the day! She even slept over at our house, our rescue dog felt secure!!! Emily took our dog to the dog park for walks! I am happy that we found her! I will for sure book with her again in the future!”

“This was our first time leaving our two dogs with a petsitter, so we were a little apprehensive, but our experience with Sara P. was amazing! She provided us with regular updates and photographs during our week away. We returned home to happy and well-cared for pups, watered plants, and a clean home. We will definitely be using her petsititing services again.”

“Can’t say enough on how great it was to have Danielle step up and take care of our Maddie on short notice. We will definitely look to book Danielle again She took great care of 8 yr old “pup” and treated her so good and followed the post op instructions we provided thanks again Danielle!”

“Lyra was, without a doubt, the most skilled, patient and friendly dog sitter (and trainer!!!) we have EVER had. Our dogs adored her, and she went above and beyond to train our new rescue dog, working on his fears, barking and leash pulling. I didn’t worry once about either dog, we were updated frequently with pics and training progress, and we came home to HAPPY, brushed dogs and a spotlessly clean house. I can’t recommend Lyra enough!!! Amazing.”

“Danica's 2-week stay with our border terrier gave us peace of mind during our trip. She was quick to pick up on all the details we provided and even thought to check on a few we missed. Whenever we were looking for an update, she sent a clear and concise message. We returned to a tidy dust-free home with squeaky clean floors and nicely shoveled walks. Thanks, Danica, for such good care of Bobbin and our home!”

“Where to begin!! I will definitely be calling on Alana for future dog sitting. She went above and beyond. Right from the meet and greet my 2x dogs were so happy to meet her. She provided ample updates and videos which made me feel like confident in her abilities to take good care of my dogs. The house was left nice and clean. Overall very happy with her services and will definitely be hiring her again in the future.”

About: Animals have always been a part of my life. All of my own pets were adopted. Rescue animals hold a special place in my heart and helped build the foundation of my experience working with animals that have a wide range of temperaments, backgrounds, and needs. I’m often the person friends and family rely on when they need a trustworthy pet sitter, and I currently provide multiple dog walks daily for repeat clients. These households include small, medium, and large breeds, some with multiple dogs in the home. I focus on caring for one pet household at a time, which allows me to give each pet consistent attention and maintain their normal routine. I regularly care for dogs with very different personalities and energy levels—from playful puppies to calm seniors. I also have experience supporting dogs recovering from injuries, caring for pets that require medication, and working with anxious or reactive dogs. Animals tend to respond well to my calm, patient energy. I’m very attentive to body language and behavior, which helps me respond appropriately if a dog is unsure, stressed, or needs reassurance. My goal is always to maintain each pet’s normal routine and provide calm, consistent care so they feel safe and comfortable. I communicate clearly with owners, send regular updates and photos, and treat every pet and home with respect. Reliability is extremely important to me. Before the first booking, I take time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and needs so their day, walks, and care stay as normal and predictable as possible. Please request a meet-and-greet before new bookings to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. While dogs are my primary focus, I’m also happy to care for cats and make sure they receive the same attentive and reliable care. I’m available seven days a week for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting, making it easy to fit care around your schedule. My flexibility allows me to respond to your pet’s needs whenever they arise. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. I communicate clearly with owners and treat every pet and home as if it were my own. I always share updates and photos so owners can see their pets are doing well and happy. I focus on caring for one pet household at a time, which allows me to give each pet consistent attention while maintaining their normal routine so they are comfortable. I take the time to understand each pet’s temperament, preferences, special needs, triggers and routine so they feel safe. During walks and visits, I stay attentive to their behavior and the environment, making sure they’re stress-free. In clients’ homes, I follow instructions carefully, respect routines, and maintain a calm atmosphere. If boarding a small or medium dog in my apartment, I am patient and maintain a calm environment with focus on supervision, routine, and structured walks.
