I’ve had my share of experiences, and I have learned the following: staying calm, remembering to laugh, and an extra treat can go a long way. About: Experience raising/training a dog and have experience with managing health issues. We have also fostered 3 dogs and often volunteer walking dogs for an organization called Elder Dogs. Often dog sit for our friends as well. Currently self employed with a wide open schedule I can walk dogs almost any time throughout the week and we can dog sit almost any day. We have a fenced in backyard where the dog can safely play or use the bathroom. Our home is kept tidy so that the dogs can have a safe place to relax and will have access to most parts of the house.

About: I took care of my best friend, a golden doodle, for 15 years before his passing last year. More recently, I’ve helped friends and family with their fur babies, and look forward to caring for yours too! I can be more flexible for longer/overnight stays.★ I’ve been taking care of animals for over 20 years—dogs, cats, snakes, hedgehogs, mice, fish, and more. I have experience with entire litters of puppies, elderly pets, and animals that need a little extra love and care, including those with health issues like needing oral/injected medication, having food or environmental allergies, or having comfort toys(or clothes). My approach is rooted in respect and curiosity. I don’t believe pets are “naughty” on purpose—behaviour is communication, and I want to understand what each animal is trying to say. I focus on rewarding good behaviour, redirecting unwanted behaviour, and staying calm, fun and patient. I’m comfortable with all animals, even those that might be a bit tricky or nervous at first(or little "creepy crawlies"). I’ve cared for everything from tiny anxious kittens to 95lb pit bulls (shout-out to my late dog, Moose) to large ball pythons. I love earning the trust of animals who may take a little time to open up. Whether your pet is full of energy, shy, reactive, or just a little quirky, I’ll meet them where they are and help them feel comfortable. I work remotely as a concept artist, which gives me the flexibility to provide thoughtful and unrushed pet care. Since I often work from my tablet, I can easily do longer drop-ins or stay with your pet for extended periods, working quietly from your kitchen table or couch if they’re comforted by having someone around. This can work especially well for situations where you would like me to check in twice in a day. My schedule is consistently flexible, and I don’t have to report to an office at a specific time of day. I can prioritize your pet’s needs, and not squeeze them into a tight window. Late morning walks, midday enrichment, evening feedings—whatever your pet is used to, I’ll follow their rhythm. My only limit is that I'm not functional super early, so for drop-ins, I'm not available before 10am. I'm probably not the best option for an early-bird dog who wants to be out the door at dawn! First steps is communicating with you about your specific pet needs! My top priority is making sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved while you're away. I do this by sticking to their usual routine—same feeding times, walk schedule, and favorite napping spots. Whether I visit just for a short time or stay overnight, I treat your home and pets with the same care I would my own. I will follow your instructions carefully and take the time to understand what makes your pet comfortable. I learn their ways of moving, playing, and relaxing, and I never push them to do anything they’re not ready for. I will only give your animals their own food and treats to avoid upset stomachs or worse. I will tidy up pet areas and messes made while I am there (within reason), as well as send you photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. I’m experienced in taking pets to the vet when needed, handling emergencies, and noticing small changes in animal behaviour, so I’ll always be alert and attentive. For care where you are going away for extended periods, we can also discuss nail cutting and baths where needed! For longer stays, I can also water your plants(indoor or out)!

About: I’ve always grown up around pets, with my family having two toy poodles (as well as a couple fish) as part of our home. My extended family and close friends have always had dogs too, including Labrador retrievers, wiener dogs and terriers, amongst other pets like cats, birds and rodents! I work full-time from home, and the thought of having a furry, loving friend to cozy up to all day makes me excited! Despite spending time working out, taking in a movie at the theatre or enjoying time with friends, I’m more of a home body who loves being in my own space. I’m all about safety and ensuring my pets are watched over at all times. My place has several doors before you can exit outside, and I would never take my pet off-leash unless it was in a gated, secure area.
