I offer patience and flexibility for your pet and respect for their environment. I am willing to provide photos and cuddles to prove safety and provide comfort to both you and your pet

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets since I was a little girl, and it’s something I truly love. Over the years, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for dogs of all sizes—from tiny 10 lb pups to 100 lb gentle giants. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and pets with anxiety, and I always take the time to ensure they feel safe, calm, and comfortable. Whether it’s administering medication, sticking to routines, or just offering quiet companionship, I adjust my care to meet each dog’s individual needs. I’m happy to provide daily updates with photos, short videos, and notes on how your pet is doing—including food intake and poop reports—so you can relax knowing everything’s going smoothly. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve—whether it’s early morning walks, midday potty breaks, or weekend cuddles. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods, and I’m happy to adapt my routine to match their needs. Consistent care, love, and plenty of updates are all part of the experience! I live in a secure, pet-friendly building that’s just steps away from parks and green spaces, perfect for daily walks and outdoor play. I love being outside and often go on walks or hikes, which means your fur baby will get plenty of fresh air, exercise, and enrichment. You can trust that your pet will be in a safe, calm, and caring environment, with consistent companionship and lots of love.

About: From caring for pets with hip dysplasia, diabetes, strict diets, or just quirky personalities! I’ve had my share of experiences, and I have learned the following: staying calm, remembering to laugh, and an extra treat can go a long way. In my care, your pet will have undivided attention and fun, get lots of love and tummy rubs, and probably listen to me vent about life (what are friends for right?) I’m currently a student at Dalhousie completing an honours in Neuroscience (another thing your pet will have to listen to). My lab work is quite flexible and can be scheduled around the care your pet requires. When I am in your home I care for your pet how you would if you were there. Tell me what do to make your pet the happiest and more comfortable they can be!

“I was initially nervous about leaving my cats in someone else’s care, but Cassandra quickly put my mind at ease. She is incredibly responsible and a fantastic communicator. Throughout my time away, she provided regular updates, photos, and thoughtful details about how my cats were doing, which really helped me relax. It was clear from the start that Cassandra genuinely cares about animals and takes her role seriously. My cats were happy, well-fed, and comfortable when I returned, and I could tell they had been in great hands. I highly recommend Cassandra to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and caring cat sitter!”

“Lauren had great communication before, during, and finishing the duration she took care of our three cats. She provided daily updates with pictures. I felt very confident that our pets were well taken care of and received great attention and care from Lauren while we were away.”

About: I've taken care of pets ever since I was 10 years old, both neighbourhood and family pets. As an energetic person, I love taking long walks and keeping your pets busy. I love all pets, big or small, and can't wait to meet yours! I currently don't have a job, so I have loads of time to take care of your animals! I am free for short periods or long stretches of time, fully dedicating my time to your pets wants and needs. I am experienced with both high-energy pets and cuddle bugs. I am willing to just chill or provide the necessary enrichment your pet desires. Additionally, I have experience with crate training.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life and have grown up with them since childhood, so I know just how special they are. I’ve been waiting for the day where I can have one of my own, but my apartment doesn’t allow pets. SO, to fill that void, I’m dedicating my time to helping others care for their furry family members. Over the years, I’ve been a sitter for family, friends, and neighbours, and I also volunteer walking dogs for ElderDog Canada. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, needs and personalities, and your pet will always get the same love and attention I’d give my own! I'm a young professional currently working full time Monday to Friday, but in a hybrid work setting, allowing me to pet sit from Thursday evenings through to Monday evenings, or any time in between! I’m also available on week nights after 4:30. I’m clean, active, and committed to creating a safe and trusting environment for your pets. I will ensure they have plenty of playtime, exercise, and attention - if that's what they want and need. I prioritize safety at all times, making sure your pet is well cared for, whether we're going for a walk, playing, or simply relaxing. Your pet’s wellbeing and happiness are my top priorities while I'm spending time with them, and you can trust that I’ll always respect your home and routine.

“Jordan is great with Qbert and very easy to work with.”

“Laine took great care of our two cats, including a senior kitty who needed extra care and attention. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

About: Experience raising/training a dog and have experience with managing health issues. We have also fostered 3 dogs and often volunteer walking dogs for an organization called Elder Dogs. Often dog sit for our friends as well. Currently self employed with a wide open schedule I can walk dogs almost any time throughout the week and we can dog sit almost any day. We have a fenced in backyard where the dog can safely play or use the bathroom. Our home is kept tidy so that the dogs can have a safe place to relax and will have access to most parts of the house.

About: I took care of my best friend, a golden doodle, for 15 years before his passing last year. More recently, I’ve helped friends and family with their fur babies, and look forward to caring for yours too! I’m currently working a mostly part-time and very flexible schedule, so I’m open to a wide range of needs for yours and your pet’s schedules. I have a large fenced backyard that was put in place for my own dog. I’ve also recently cared for a five month old puppy that was crate training, so I’m comfortable with a variety of training scenarios.

“She is a warm-hearted, attentive, and incredibly patient person. Her genuine care for animals is evident in everything she does. She is always gentle and observant, noticing even the smallest changes and responding with thoughtful care. Her kindness and calm demeanor make her a comforting presence for any pet. She truly treats animals with love, respect, and compassion. Will definitely be looking forYue‘s help again!!”

About: ★SERVICES ANYWHERE ON THE BUS ROUTE ON THE HALIFAX SIDE OF THE HRM! I can be more flexible for longer/overnight stays.★ I’ve been taking care of animals for over 20 years—dogs, cats, snakes, hedgehogs, mice, fish, and more. I have experience with entire litters of puppies, elderly pets, and animals that need a little extra love and care, including those with health issues like needing oral/injected medication, having food or environmental allergies, or having comfort toys(or clothes). My approach is rooted in respect and curiosity. I don’t believe pets are “naughty” on purpose—behaviour is communication, and I want to understand what each animal is trying to say. I focus on rewarding good behaviour, redirecting unwanted behaviour, and staying calm, fun and patient. I’m comfortable with all animals, even those that might be a bit tricky or nervous at first(or little "creepy crawlies"). I’ve cared for everything from tiny anxious kittens to 95lb pit bulls (shout-out to my late dog, Moose) to large ball pythons. I love earning the trust of animals who may take a little time to open up. Whether your pet is full of energy, shy, reactive, or just a little quirky, I’ll meet them where they are and help them feel comfortable. I work remotely as a concept artist, which gives me the flexibility to provide thoughtful and unrushed pet care. Since I often work from my tablet, I can easily do longer drop-ins or stay with your pet for extended periods, working quietly from your kitchen table or couch if they’re comforted by having someone around. This can work especially well for situations where you would like me to check in twice in a day. My schedule is consistently flexible, and I don’t have to report to an office at a specific time of day. I can prioritize your pet’s needs, and not squeeze them into a tight window. Late morning walks, midday enrichment, evening feedings—whatever your pet is used to, I’ll follow their rhythm. My only limit is that I'm not functional super early, so for drop-ins, I'm not available before 10am. I'm probably not the best option for an early-bird dog who wants to be out the door at dawn! First steps is communicating with you about your specific pet needs! My top priority is making sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved while you're away. I do this by sticking to their usual routine—same feeding times, walk schedule, and favorite napping spots. Whether I visit just for a short time or stay overnight, I treat your home and pets with the same care I would my own. I will follow your instructions carefully and take the time to understand what makes your pet comfortable. I learn their ways of moving, playing, and relaxing, and I never push them to do anything they’re not ready for. I will only give your animals their own food and treats to avoid upset stomachs or worse. I will tidy up pet areas and messes made while I am there (within reason), as well as send you photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. I’m experienced in taking pets to the vet when needed, handling emergencies, and noticing small changes in animal behaviour, so I’ll always be alert and attentive. For care where you are going away for extended periods, we can also discuss nail cutting and baths where needed! For longer stays, I can also water your plants(indoor or out)!

“Emily is extremely reliable, professional and an experienced pet handler. She kept me updated daily with photos and info, and took wonderful care of our cats. We're grateful for her service!”

“Rylee provided my dog with the best care on her drop in visit to see Louie. He requires insulin injections and it went so smoothly! She sent some really cute pictures of them hanging out. Can’t wait to book again!”

About: I’ve always grown up around pets, with my family having two toy poodles (as well as a couple fish) as part of our home. My extended family and close friends have always had dogs too, including Labrador retrievers, wiener dogs and terriers, amongst other pets like cats, birds and rodents! I work full-time from home, and the thought of having a furry, loving friend to cozy up to all day makes me excited! Despite spending time working out, taking in a movie at the theatre or enjoying time with friends, I’m more of a home body who loves being in my own space. I’m all about safety and ensuring my pets are watched over at all times. My place has several doors before you can exit outside, and I would never take my pet off-leash unless it was in a gated, secure area.

Whether Vixie is coming to my house while I'm away, or if they're brought to stay at Vixie's house - I trust absolutely that my boys are being given the best care and love that a person can give!
