I stop to pet every dog I come across out in the world, with the owner’s permission of course. I’m always looking to make friends with animals. My dog passed away at 17 in November 2024, so I would love to fill some time with more animals until I’m ready to adopt again. I’m currently self-employed and working part time, so I have plenty of time to walk and play with your furbabies! My schedule is pretty flexible, especially for the rest of this year. About: I have always loved dogs and eventually the begging worked when we got our first family dog when I was 7. Along with our own family dogs, I have taken care of many different dogs in my life, from Maltese to Great Dane, from 9 weeks old to 15 years old. I have dog-sat neighbor's dogs for weeks at a time, taken care of service dogs, and began fostering in 2020. I care for and love all dogs like they are my own and am learning more and more about training as I foster service dogs in training while at school! I am currently in school taking four classes so the majority of my time is free. I am available for walks/care about every day of the week except for 12:30-4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The way I care for a pet varies between clients as sometimes I am asked to do simple training, while other times I'm told the dog is totally fine hanging out they just need someone to be home. I always follow the owners instructions/recommendations to ensure the best experience for all involved! I also do not typically feel comfortable letting dogs off leash outside unless the area is fenced in, I prefer to be on the safe side. Your dog will be in the best hands :)
About: I have loved and cared for many types of animals for most of my life. I grew up with a Boxer, a bunny, 2 cats, and a parrot. My family always adopted fur friends that needed our love. Later, I would gravitate towards professions that were heavily animal centered, from equine handling and care, general farm animal care, and even exotic animals such as reptiles (lizards, snakes, tortoises, etc) and birds. My last long term work was an animal handler in a learning environment where I could educate kids in an up close setting where they could interact with animals and learn how important they are to us all. I know CPR for both Large and Small breeds and am knowledgeable in administering medications. I love taking walks and playing fetch, or just a leasuirly stroll to sniff around the neighborhood, whichever your pet prefers. I live in a quiet neighborhood with no thru traffic. There aren't fences, so dogs will be kept on leash while outside. There is plenty of space for long calm walks and large grassy areas for a good leg stretch. There are also dog parks around my area we can drive to for some off-leash fun, or, some quiet trails to enjoy. If you have certain preferences or routines for your pet that you would like me to follow I am all the more happy. While staying in your home I am capable of following whatever routines you have set for potty breaks, meals, brushing, etc. And please feel free to ask me anything.
