“This was my first time using Adele to let my dogs out and I think she did a wonderful job when I came home. Everybody was happy and healthy and that’s all I asked for and I would definitely use her again.”

“As always Chelsea was fantastic! She goes above and beyond, and is very prompt with her responses, as well as keeping you in the loop with your pet. Will for sure be back, and would highly recommend her!”

About: I have a lot of patience for animals and I love entertaining them, whether that’s playing with them or going on a long walk. For the younger ones, or ones that just have more energy, I would love to run them and keep them in shape. I am super flexible this summer, aside from a few weeks of travel, so whatever works for you works for me. My main priority is going to the gym, but other than that I’m all yours! Whether it’s feeding, walking, brushing, playing, or simply snuggling, I’m always giving my full attention and affection. Also, I think mental stimulation is often overlooked in animal care so I try to incorporate fun games and activities.
“Michael was great with our kitties (as always). The kitties were timely cared for and were also treated extra special with treats and playing at each visit. We trust Michael with our babies and will continue to seek his services in the future!”

“Hannah is awesome. Flexible, consistent, great with the pets. She is great at communicating and filling us in on how everyone is doing when we are on trips, and leaves you with a peace of mind that is invaluable when you are away. We will continue using her for both our dog and cat needs,”

About: I have the experience of 3 years of dogsitting my neighbor’s lovely golden retriever, and miscillaneous other neighbors have had me walk all different kinds of dogs too over the years I just graduated highschool and work part time in the evening so I’m free basically every weekday until 3:00pm, some days even after that. Weekends are generally the same. I am very good at interacting by and playing with dogs, and keeping them happy while you’re away. I also love going on walks so naturally I love walking dogs!

“Karen was amazing! She sent pictures and wrote a description of the visit each time so I always knew what was going on. I could see how happy our dog was in all of the pictures. I couldn’t have asked for a more caring and dog loving person to watch my dog. Would highly recommend her.”

“Paige is wonderful!! This was our first time leaving Tobey for an extended period of time. Paige kept us updated and sent us pictures. Highly recommend her and we will definitely rebook with her ?”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Byfield. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
