“I am always hesitant to leave my dog with strangers, but Michelle took great care of my little Wiley while I was out of town! She’s clearly a dog lover, very responsible, was responsive to any questions I had & sent pics every day. I’d definitely hire her again!”

“Jennie (and Bennie) are the best - see my last review! Jennie worked miracles with our shyest cat. I never thought I’d see him happily come out and meet strangers, and Jennie has patiently socialized him, to the point he happily greets her! Thank you, as always!”

“We are beyond grateful for the incredible care our pets and home received while we were away. Ana went above and beyond in every way, making sure the dogs were not only fed and walked regularly, but also administering medication correctly and with care. We came home to two very happy, healthy pups and a house that looked just as good (if not better!) than when we left. It was such a relief knowing everything was running smoothly in our absence. The attention to detail, communication, and genuine love for our animals was so appreciated. Highly recommend and would absolutely trust her again without hesitation!”

“Katie was WONDERFUL! she was able to accommodate my request on short notice and did an amazing job. She sent lots of updates and I felt great knowing my poodle was in her care. Thank you again Katie!”

“Trustable and reliable dog sitter. Alexandra took care of my four big dogs. He made me feel assured that my dogs were well taken care of while I was out touring the city. He showed utmost concern about dog's health and safety. I would be a return customer if I was a local resident.”

“If I could give Irene more than 5 stars, I would! She is hands down the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. From the moment she met our pup, we knew she was something special. She’s kind, attentive, responsible, and truly treats our dog like her own. We got regular updates, adorable photos, and could tell our Gigi was happy, relaxed, and so well cared for. It’s not easy to leave your pet with someone, but with her, we had complete peace of mind.”

“Don is a gift to my Fellow. I have a spirited 2 year old Airedale, Fellow, and Don's updates and photos are so appreciated. I have rebooked with him several times and will continue. Thank you for taking such great care of Fellow!!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter than Jingying! She took amazing care of our two puppies, Raina and Emma, while we were away for 10 days. Raina, our older girl, needs extra attention and daily medication, and Jingying handled her care with such patience, compassion, and attentiveness. It was such a relief knowing she was in good hands. Emma, our younger pup, is full of energy, and Jingying made sure she had plenty of playtime and love too. She kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. When we came home, both dogs were happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Jingying is responsible, kind, and clearly loves what she does. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

I’m a passionate animal care professional with over 8 years of experience as a veterinary technician, working hands-on with dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, and exotic species. My background includes medical care, behavioral handling, and emergency support for pets of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. I’ve spent years around equines and large animals, and I absolutely love building trust with animals through gentle, confident, and respectful care. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy, a senior dog needing medication, or a quirky exotic pet, I bring professional-level knowledge and a calm, loving presence to every visit. I’m reliable, intuitive, and treat every pet as if they’re my own. I’d be honored to care for your furry (or scaly!) family member. I work evenings from 4 p.m. to 1–2 a.m., so I’m available for drop-ins, walks, feeding, medication, or sitting between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. If you’re located near Newport Beach, I may also be available during my lunch break for quick visits or walks. Whether it’s early mornings, mid-day check-ins, or even late-night medication or feedings, I’m committed to being flexible, responsive, and dependable for your pet’s unique needs. When I enter your home, my goal is to create a calm, respectful, and safe environment for your pet. I’m highly mindful of body language, behavior cues, and energy, especially during first-time visits. I adjust my approach based on the pet’s comfort level — whether that means moving slowly, speaking gently, or matching their energy to build trust. I understand that every pet has their own boundaries and needs, and I give them space when needed, while still being warm, reassuring, and attentive. As a vet tech with over 8 years of experience, I’m confident in handling pets of all temperaments, and I know how to read subtle signs of stress or discomfort. I’m familiar with basic commands and can reinforce any training you’re working on. I always follow your instructions to the letter when it comes to your pet’s routine, feeding, and home care, because I understand how important consistency and structure are to their well-being.

“Elizabeth was the greatest! She took great care of my dogs and home while we were away. She is great with communication, sending updates, photos, and I didn’t even have to ask. We booked last minute after our plans with a friend who was going to watch our dogs fell through, and she was very flexible. I will definitely be hiring her again! It’s very comforting not having to worry about trusting a sitter when you are out of town!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for pets of all ages, including those with health conditions. Growing up in a family that loves animals, I’ve cared for both dogs and cats, as well as fostered animals in need. I’ve assisted with the care of my family’s cats, who are currently 20 and 21 years old, ensuring their comfort and quality of life in their senior years. From 2013 to 2018, I was responsible for the care of our American Bully dog (aged 7-13). Between 2020 and 2022, I took care of my roommate’s and my shared cat (aged 7-9. In 2023-2024, I fostered a special-needs cat with asthma and FIV (age 12), managing her medical care and providing a safe home. I also currently assist with the care of my boyfriend’s Havanese dog, Suki (age 7). Through these experiences, I’ve developed a strong understanding of animal care, especially for senior pets and those with medical needs. I’m dedicated, compassionate, and committed to ensuring all pets feel safe, loved, and well-cared-for. I work a hybrid schedule, which allows me to offer consistent, around-the-clock care for your pets. I work from home on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, so I'm available to care for your pets throughout the day. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I work in the office but am available to provide care after 5 PM. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always their comfort, safety, and well-being. I’m always open to discussing any boundaries or rules, whether it’s about pet routines, house rules, or anything else to make sure both your pets and home are treated with the utmost care. Additionally, I follow the principle of leaving a place better than I found it; whether that means tidying up, making sure everything is in order, or taking extra care to ensure pets are as happy and settled as possible. I believe in keeping clear, open communication with you, so you always feel confident about the care your pets are receiving. Whether it’s sending regular updates, discussing your pets’ needs, or being available for any questions or concerns, I make sure to keep my line of communication open.

“Absolutely fantastic. She House/Cat sat for us and was very communicative, sent lots of photos, gave us many updates, and left the house immaculate. We can tell if a cat sitter hasn’t done their job because our cat gets stress dreadlocks. Our cat was incredibly happy and his coat was perfect when we got home. She also took him on his leash walks which made him extra happy. Highly recommended.”

Over 100 pet parents in Business District have booked house sitting
Business District pet parents share their Rover experiences
Zachary house-sat my dog for an afternoon. He was very responsive when booking, was flexible with my schedule, and very easy to communicate with. He took great care of my dog - I’d recommend Zach to anyone looking for pet care. I will definitely be re-booking with him in the future.

Jennie and Bennie recently did an amazing job house sitting for my trio, and will always be my go-to for anything cat related. Long story short: I recently had a few major life changes, and suddenly found myself (with my cats) in a completely different space, including the exit of someone who had been in their lives for a really long time I wanted to make sure that my cats were doing okay, so one of the first things I did was to arrange for Jennie to do weekly playdates with my cats - I knew they needed the consistency of a familiar face to move through this movement, and Jennie gamely accepted. My cats are weird and quirky like most cats, and don’t handle stress well. It was obvious immediately that having Jennie visit regularly was helping them make this transition. Fast forward to the recent house sit - I was leaving town for the first time since the life change, and it would be the first time the cats would have Jennie stay over. Out of EVERYTHING I needed for the trip, Jennie was the one thing I didn’t worry about. She did everything to perfection; she sent me amazing updates, and made sure I felt like my cats were cared for from 3000 miles away. I think the fact that when I got home, the cats acted like nothing was wrong, is truly a testament to Jennie’s skill. It’s like I hadn’t even been gone, and as cat owners know, that’s a sign all things are good in cat world.

If I could give Irene more than 5 stars, I would! It’s not easy to leave your pet with someone, but with her, we had complete peace of mind.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Ivana! From the start, she was warm, professional, and clearly had a special way with animals. My pups took to her instantly! Ivana kept me updated with the sweetest photos and little notes, and I could tell my pups were not just cared for, but genuinely loved. It’s such a relief to have someone I can fully trust while I’m away. Ivana went above and beyond in every way, and I honestly feel so lucky to have found her. If you’re looking for someone reliable, kind, and absolutely dog-obsessed (in the best way), Ivana is it. 10/10!

Megan did a house-sit for 10 days for us. She's very professional with check in's every day and updates on our kitty and the house. When we got back, we couldn't even tell that she was here. Our kitty was happy to see us and she did not display an anxious behavior which tells me that she was super content with Megan. I am really happy that Megan was available for this sit because she put me at ease with being away for so long and so far away. I could just relax knowing everything at the house and our fur child was being taken care of. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who's looking for a dependable and trustworthy person to care for their pet (and house).

This was our first time using Rover.com and we were reluctant to reach out to a stranger to stay in our home with our dog. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. We are so happy to have found Michelle. She is wonderful with our dog and he loves her, and we were very comfortable having her stay in our home. I highly recommend Michelle for pet and house sitting.

We can’t say enough great things about Leeyette! My husband and I went on a trip to Mexico and left our sweet dog Bella in her care at our home. While we were away, Bella unexpectedly went into heat for the first time. As you can imagine, we were incredibly stressed not being there with her. But Leeyette truly went above and beyond to make sure we could still enjoy our trip without worry. She immediately took initiative—heading to Petco to buy the appropriate diapers and pads—and handled everything with such grace, patience, and a wonderful attitude. She changed Bella’s diapers several times a day, cleaned up after her, and made sure Bella was comfortable and cared for at all times. She kept us updated throughout, and it was clear she treated Bella like her own. We are beyond grateful and truly can’t recommend Leeyette enough. She’s reliable, compassionate, and dedicated—your dog will be in the absolute best hands. Bella absolutely loves her!
