“He was great with our cat and dog through multiple challenges! We had a water leak while we were away and he gave us updates. Our dog was extremely stressed with us being gone and David went over the top to bond with him and help him. He was communicative and trustworthy. We definitely recommend him!”

About: I've been watching cats/dogs since I was in elementary school. Very patient and caring to every animal I've had the privilege to meet. Big or small I love them all! I work next to my apartment building so I'll be able to check on your pet often during the day. I love walking and giving dogs/cats all the love they can handle! There's a little park in front of our apartment (literally named "Little Park") and a back yard that is partially fenced in. Our apartment is spacious enough for any dog/cat (we even have an open guest room). Completely open to visiting pets at their home for care/walks.

“Bee and Adrianne took fantastic care of my fur baby while I was away for an extended family visit. They were very responsive and quick to reply to any questions or concerns. My cat was comfortable with them, which says a lot because he is tough to warm Up to people. I will definitely be booking with them again.”

About: My family fostered dogs from 2nd grade to my junior year of high school, and I was very involved in the training and care of said fosters. When fostering, we often had 2-3 of our own dogs in the household that I also helped take care of. We helped a large variety of dogs find new homes, from puppies to seniors, from sweethearts to hair-triggers. Every single dog that came to our home left healthier, happier, and much better trained. I’m currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule. During the week I’ll often be at work sometime between 2:30-5:30pm, and I will have occasional obligations on Wednesdays. Other than that, I work event security. These events are normally later at night, and I am not required to take any shifts offered. If I am pet/housesitting for you and a security shift conflicts with it somehow, I will be happy to drop the shift (or not take it in the first place, depending on the timing). I am well versed in what dogs can and cannot eat. I find it quite easy to tell when they need to go potty, but err on the side of caution anyways with frequent potty breaks. I will not be overzealous with treats or food, following whatever instructions are provided to me.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12. I have been relied upon by family and friends to walk and feed their pets, for the most part multiple animals at once. I am currently a pre-veterinary student at UVM. I’m currently an under graduate at the University of Vermont. I have a lot of time outside of classes to care for your animals when you need. I am incredibly accustomed to the furry friend chaos. I’ve been dealing with the craziness of animals for a long time and have been very good in the best about shutting down any excessive behavior in a calm and cool manner.

About: I grew up on a farm so I've been surrounded by animals my entire life. I have experience with dairy operations, including milking, cleaning, and birthing goats. I also have experience caring for goats, horses, mini ponies, dogs, cats, small reptiles, birds, and guinea pigs. I have been pet sitting since I was 15 with all of the perviously mentioned animals. I also have experience in training horses as well as puppies. I also have experience working with a variety of aged animals, including seniors, so I am able to adapt to additional needs. I also have experience administering medication to a variety of different animals. I am looking for a part time position while I finish up my studies at UVM. I only have classes in the evening two nights out of the week. I can be flexible to drop by and hang out with your pet during the day, if it's better I can also hang out with your pet for most of the day if I can study with them! Also if you contact me with enough notice (~ 3 days) I will most likely be able to make time of the weekends to provide care! Typically I like to meet the pet while the owner is there to see their personality while they have the comfort of their owner there. Then I try and establish trust and connection with your critter while you are there so it won't be as scary when I return while the owner is away. I try and stick to the critter's normal routine, whether that's going for a walk, playing, or feedings at a certain time or in a certain manner to try and maintain their normal routine as much as possible.

About: Experience with dogs of all ages & breeds, able to provide regular or one time dog walking of any preferred distance & occasional dog sitting as needed! I work as a nurse with a very flexible schedule- able to provide Monday & Tuesday regular visits/walks and Wed-Sun every other week. Can do anytime that works for you! My home has one cat so only able to provide in house visits with cat friendly dogs! Visits in client homes preferred, but can accommodate occasional boarding.

About: I am a teacher for students with behavioral challenges and learning disabilities. I have a solid understanding of how behavior functions in both humans and animals. I am a kind, patient, and fun caregiver. I currently work weekdays from 8-4 with minimal obligations during the week. I am available on weekends or before and after work for pet care. I think getting to know an animal and building a level of trust is crucial to making a pet feel more comfortable with a stranger in their home! I will do what I can to follow your pet’s lead so that they can feel safe. I will also send pictures as much as possible!

About: I have experience taking care of a large variety of pets, including a greyhound rescue with specific health care needs, socializing and tiring out many young kittens, and experience with senior dogs and cats and the mobility/health concerns that come with age. I have cared for both dogs and cats on many overnight stays as well as brief walks and adventures when needed. I love exercising and going on adventures just as much as I love relaxing with cute animals, so I am ready and able to provide versatile care for your pet and constant contact with clients. I am a student who also works part-time. I am free in the mornings, late afternoons, and evenings/nights most days of the week, perfect for pets that need care while you are busy during the day or if you come home late. The health and safety of the pets in my care are my top priority; I work with clients to create a personalized plan best suited for your pet’s unique needs. I love the outdoors and will be happy to give your pets some sunny playtime and exercise!

“Joshua is great!! he is very friendly and took excellent care of my cat. LOVE that he sent lots of pictures and updates. my cat loves him! also appreciated that he checked in about closing windows/turning on the AC during a heat wave.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life growing up. All different breeds and attitudes. I’ve worked with trainers and done lots of dog sitting in my life. I love all dogs and most animals. Please let me walk, sit, or hangout with your dog I will treat them like my own. My schedule is very flexible. I work from home and my part time job allows me to make my own schedule/hours. Watching your adorable pup would be my main priority! I would love to care for your pup if that is sitting, a playdate or walk. I am sadly long distance from my pitbull pup while I am at school studying at UVM and wish I was allowed to have pets in my home but my landlords don’t allow it, thus I am committed to giving yours all the attention and care it needs!

Virginia W.
“Whenever I have to be away from home I cross my fingers that Virginia will be available. I am always 100% confident leaving my 2 in her care. I know they'll be fed and watered, but mainly, I know she'll spend quality time with them- playing, talking, cuddling. It's the attention and affection I know they'll receive, more than anything. She has a way with animals and they can tell. And she reassures me with photo and video updates! :)”

Drew L.
“Drew has lived with a dog for her entire life. When she was born she was welcomed by Hazel the Ridgeback. At age 4, Drew helped to train her new puppy Shona the Ridgeback and walked him while her parents were supervising. Drew became more independent in caring for Shona as she grew older, sharing in feeding and walking responsibilities. Drew's third dog, Ruth was welcomed into the family when Drew was 16 years old. Drew was actively involved in Ruth's training, feeding, grooming and walking routines. In addition, Drew cared for Ruth when her parents were away on vacations in her later teen years. Drew's mom is also a Rover sitter, and Drew has enjoyed helping with the dogs that her mom cared for.”
