“Stephanie took great care of our three cats and dog while we were out of town! She was super easy to communicate with, gave us frequent, thorough updates on how everyone was doing, and sent lots of pics. Thank you Stephanie!”

“Sejla is a gem! We are so thankful for her. Excellent communication with meaningful updates, trustworthy and honest, punctual and responsible, and the absolute kindest. She always leaves our house in the same condition. Our dog loves her and we know Daisy is safe and in good hands with Sejla!”

“Malia was wonderful with my pets! I was so happy to come home to happy, relaxed animals. It’s clear that Malia has a genuine love for pets. My two chihuahuas and cat seemed to really warm up to her. She's clearly responsible and caring, and I felt completely at ease leaving my little critters in her hands.”

“Kate was lovely! She took on the big job of watching our three pups. She sent daily updates with pictures and took great care of our house. Really great experience!”

“Jaime was very patient and great with both of my dogs! My male dog can be a little weird at first but she handled him well! I received the updates I wanted and she was very fast at responding! We already have her planned for another stay!”

“It was a great pleasure to have Danyel look after our little guy and home. As a siamese, he isn't the quietest cat to look after and has a particular set of routine he needs to follow but Danyel looked after him to the T! She was incredibly responsive, communicative, and went above and beyond the required ask to make sure our home and cat is burdened free by the time we got back from our trip. Thanks Danyel!”

“Gabriela is an excellent pet sitter! She did a fantastic job taking care of my two senior fur babies! She is reliable and kept me updated with pics of the kids while I was gone. I look forward to hiring her again when needed!”

“Elizabeth did a wonderful job caring for our little dog, Coco. She connected well with Coco during our meet and greet. Coco is a bit shy and she warmed to Elizabeth immediately. While we were away, Elizabeth sent us updates of how the two of them were doing. She also took excellent care of our home — leaving things nicer than she found them! I would highly recommend her as a dog and house sitter. We are looking forward to having her back!”

“Highly recommend Donna as both a dog and house sitter. My plants did better while I was gone than when I'm at home, the house was perfectly clean, and I got lots of sweet photos during our time away. Donna responds quickly to messages, shows up on time, and was willing to put in the time to get to know our reactive pup. So grateful to have found such a great dog sitter!”

“This is the second time we’ve hired Alessandra to watch our house and two dogs for a week. We couldn’t be more pleased. Her daily, sometimes twice daily communications with photos and updates made us feel secure and in touch. The dogs loved her and loved to cuddle with her which helped with our own separation anxiety, LOL. We highly recommend her for a responsible, professional and attentive sitter.”

“Vanessa was easy to work with and communicative throughout the booking, we had her watch our cats and dog over the weekend and it went smoothly. She kept our place super clean and sent pictures of the pets, we were glad to see that they all did really well while we were away.”

“Another great few days with Mèlanie. She is a wonderful, thoughtful sitter that takes care of our pooches, and our house, as if they were her own. Will always try to book her first whenever we go out of town.”

About: I truly love animals and treat every dog or cat like my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, meals, or simply keeping your pet company, I bring a warm, friendly, and attentive presence to every visit. I’ve cared for animals my entire life — I grew up with a family dog, bunnies, and even a tortoise! I raised my corgi mix, Lilo, from puppyhood and understand the consistency it takes to support pets through every stage of life. I also have experience with senior pets. I’m available throughout the day and can dedicate as much time as needed to care for your pet. Whether it’s extended stays, drop-ins, or walks, I’d love to make your pet’s care a part of my everyday routine. I’m currently searching for my next remote job opportunity, which means my schedule is quite flexible. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or yours, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. When boarding, I can make arrangements for my dog to stay elsewhere for your pets' comfort. When house sitting, I follow your specific instructions, tidy up, and always treat your space with respect. I will happily send photo updates so you can stay connected while you’re away. If your pet has special needs (mobility, diet, etc.), I am even more detail-oriented with my care! I have experience with oral medication, eye drops, anxiety, reactivity, incontinence, visual/hearing limitations, and more.

“Leslie was a wonderful sitter! She was so responsive and quick to schedule a meet and greet. She was very kind and accommodating for our super anxious dog who likes to hide in the closet. We felt great on our trip knowing the pets were in good hands.”

“I have asked Michelle to pet sit my kitty, Nugget, on multiple occasions and she will continue to be the first person I reach out to. Michelle is very communicative, always making sure i am receiving pictures of my sweet girl. I know that when Michelle watches her, that she will be fed, have a clean litter box and will receive all the love. I think the biggest indicator that Michelle is great with my cat, is that Nugget absolutely loves her. It’s so wonderful having a pet sitter that I can trust. Thank you Michelle!”

“Stacey was wonderful! Sweet Pea had a wonderful time while we were away! She had a spa getaway week and was very well taken care of and loved on. So thankful we found such a wonderful person to watch our little girl! Thanks so much Stacey!! Wouldn't hesitate to rebook!”

About: I have always had a deep love for dogs, growing up with one in my hometown. My experience expanded significantly during my time as an au pair in Germany, where I cared for Hannah, a beautiful Golden Retriever. Hannah was incredibly loving with her family but reactive around other dogs - she would bark and lunge toward them. I learned to read her body language, redirect her attention with treats and commands, and keep her calm during walks by choosing quieter routes and using positive reinforcement techniques. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for behavioral or health changes. Whether it's an energetic pup needing mental stimulation or a senior dog requiring gentler care, I adapt my approach to each dog's unique needs. I'll treat your furry family member with the same attention I'd want for my own future Golden Retriever (coming this September!). Currently: I'm completely free this summer until September 11th! This is the perfect time to build a great relationship with your pet before my fall classes begin. Starting fall quarter (September 22nd), I'll be a nursing student at De Anza College with a flexible weekday schedule that's perfect for pet care! My classes will only be on Monday mornings (9am-12pm) and Tuesday/Thursday evenings (3-7pm), leaving me plenty of time for your furry friends. My availability: Right now (until Sept 11): Available weekdays anytime! Fall semester: Weekday mornings, afternoons, and most evenings Weekends: Very rarely available - I prefer to keep weekends for personal time unless I have no other plans Advance notice: I prefer 1-2 days notice to ensure I can give your pet my full attention I'm available for: Dog walking (30-60 minutes) Drop-in visits (30-45 minutes) House sitting (day visits only - no overnight stays currently) My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care while pursuing my passion for helping others, both human and furry! Your pet's safety and comfort are my absolute priorities. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for any changes in behavior or health. Having cared for pets as an au pair in Germany and Austria, I know how crucial trust is when caring for someone's beloved family member. I maintain open communication throughout our time together and treat every pet as if they were my own. Safety measures I follow: •Keep dogs securely leashed unless in owner-approved off-leash areas •Stick to familiar, safe routes you recommend •Ensure your home remains secure during visits •Immediate communication if anything unusual occurs I'm fluent in English, Thai, and conversational in German, making me comfortable with San Jose's diverse community. I have reliable emergency transportation and your vet's contact information readily available.

“Alyssa did a great job watching our two pups and house sitting for us while we were away. Communicative and took good care of our dogs….and our house! Would definitely recommend her services.”

She's very communicative and will closely follow any special care instructions required for a given animal. Kelly also has a great personality and growth mindset, she's always looking for opportunities to learn more and grow as a pet owner. Whinde D.
“From care.com to rover.com, from the city to the country we've met with dozens of pet sitters and baby sitters over the years but we have never met anyone like Whinde. I couldn't put my finger on it at first but she felt like more than a "dog person." Perhaps, as I learned later, it was her training with the likes of Caesar Milan and other animal jedis. But I think not. I think it's because Whinde is her own unique, special breed. Sixth sense combined with animal love combined with kind human being. We have left our dog and a cat with her on multiple occasions. Most recently we left them both with her for a week (over Thanksgiving) and she was willing to come to our house even. We have five children and the animals are like additional children. We have never boarded them since moving here ~2 years ago and only leave with family or Whinde. I'm actually kind of sad that she is on rover more because now she might be less available to work with us :( but I can at least be happy for you/your animal. We highly recommend Whinde and would say she's one of the best on here.”

Amani H.

“Sai is very attentive, compassionate, and reliable. He has cared for my cats before, treating them with genuine affection and ensuring they felt comfortable and safe at all times. Sai has a calming presence, is great at communication, and always goes the extra mile to help others.”

Burbank pet parents share their Rover experiences
I can’t say enough good things about Natalee, who took care of my dog Hippo for six days while I was out in Houston. She was incredibly communicative, keeping me updated every step of the way. She let me know how Hippo was doing, when she was heading to work, and even turned on the dog camera so I could peek in and see how things were going. She consistently sent me pictures of a very happy Hippo, which really showed me that Hippo was comfortable, safe, and well-loved. Plus, when it came to walks and park outings, Natalee followed all the safety instructions I gave her to a T, which gave me huge peace of mind. On top of that, she respected my home beautifully. I came back to a house just as clean as I left it, which is always a plus. Honestly, this was an 11/10 experience on Rover. I’d absolutely book Natalee again in a heartbeat. Hippo was happy, I was stress-free, and it was a fantastic experience all around!

Jacqueline was really great and we loved having her dog sit for us. She did a great job taking care of our dog as well as our home and we were very pleased with her services. She provided consistent and helpful updates and pictures. Our dog, Yumi, seemed to be happy and having a fun going on walks and playing with her. I would recommend Jacqueline without hesitation.

Eagan was great with the dogs. I needed a last minute sitter for our dogs and glad we found Eagan. He was very responsive and very respectful of our place. We got back later than expected and Eagan was able to stay longer with our dogs and we greatly appreciate that! Our dogs grew very comfortable with him very quickly. We will definitely be rebooking with him again for our future needs. We highly recommend Eagan. Thank you so much!

Caitlin watched my tiny Chihuahua for three days and it was her first time being left at home with a stranger. Ollie was so scared but Caitlin was very patient and kind to her, communicated with me, and even gave her anxiety meds when she needed them. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Loryne did a great job housesitting and taking care of our two dogs. Jake is a two year old Golden Retriever with a lot of energy. Gracie is a twelve year old Labradoodle. Loryne gave them plenty of exercise and took great care of them!! We will definitely use her again in the future!

Maggie did a great job with our (almost) 16-year-old pup while we were away at family camp for the week. She stayed in touch, asked questions, sent pics ... we loved hearing how well our girl was doing! Maggie followed all the medication/supplement instructions to a tee. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again, she's a keeper!

Karina took care of our old German Shepherd Addie, three hens, and three chicks in our home again, this time for 10 days, and she did a great job as usual, including extra duties like plant care, coop cleaning, dog bath, mail handling. Addie was happy and healthy when we returned. Thanks Karina!
