“Our dog made a special friend this past week with Michelle. She took great care of our lab. What a happy boy when we returned from our trip. She kept us up to date, sent lots of pictures (our absolute fav) and even tidied up our home (SPOTLESS). How lucky! We enjoyed our trip without worry. Can't wait to use Michelle again.”

Vanessa T.
“Vanessa has been watching our dogs on and off for the last three years! She’s great with both of our dogs and they love her! She plays with them and really connects with them. She also sends us the best photos/videos while we’re away so we feel like we’re with them! She respects the rules of our home and we trust her, which is really important to us!”

“Michael home sat our dog Remy for a weekend and he was fantastic. He came at the scheduled hour promptly and understood our home/ dog instructions well. He is super friendly and our dog liked him in an instance. Communication during our time away was good, Remy was well taken care of and we came back to our home just as we left it. We highly recommended Michael.”

Sonny L.
“Sonny loves animals in general especially dogs. I've witnessed how well behaved all his dogs were over the past 20yrs. that I've known him. It's amazing to see him tell his dog to "go home" and it goes back into the dog house. He leaves food or snacks in front of the dogs and they stare at it until he gives them the command to eat then they eat. He even trained his american bulldog, great dane, mini schnauzer, pitbull and chihuahua non verbal commands. He snaps his fingers and points and they sit, jump, lay down, back up, roll over and go back to the cage. I'm truly impress with how obedient his dogs were and the affection he gave them. Your dogs will be in good hands with this man.”

Sierra R.

“Sierra was very communicative and took lots of pictures and videos of her time with our good balls. Even with an injured wrist she was able to care for our two med/large (70 lb each) dogs. They had a blast with her and the house was in great shape when we got back. Definitely would rebook and recommend!”

About: I absolutely love dogs and cats! I personally have a boxer beagle mix who is the love of my life. Being a dog owner allows me to provide reliable, responsible and trustworthy care to your pet. I understand the anxiety and worry that comes with leaving your pet with with a stranger, I myself find it difficult sometimes. But for the pets I have taken care of for friends and family, I was constant communication with the owner, sent tons of pictures, talked to the dog/cat as if they were humans and did my best to make sure they’re happy. As a River caregiver and a pet owner, I plan to provide the best care possible. I work full time but I’m an early riser, which means I am able to do early morning walks and drop ins. I also get off work before 5, therefore I have plenty of time for evening walks or dog park time. Whichever routine works for you and your pet. Weekends I’m mostly free unless I have a trip planned. I’m a very respectful person. If I were to care for your pet in your home, I’d follow all rules and restrictions set by you. And would communicate anything that needed to be clarified.

Denise R.

“We appreciate knowing that during the crazy heatwave while we had to be away, our entire furry family was safe and comfortable at home with Denise’s care. House and doggos/cat were just as happy as they were when we left. Thank you!”

Stephanie F.

Stephanie is very attentive and spends time to take pictures and spend time with the pets! Thank you so much for being there for our family when we needed you! We will definitely be using Stephanie's services in the future ?”

Sejla G.

“Sejla did a stellar job caring for our 3 cats and puppy during our week away. She is very caring, trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional. She has an innate way with animals, giving them a lot of attention and love. She kept us informed and sent pictures and updates every day which we loved. She cared for our fur-babies and our home like they were her own, and because we didn’t worry our vacation was that much better. Our pets love Sejla and so do we! We will be repeat clients for sure!!”

About: I have an extensive background in pet care, particularly in dog sitting and dog walking. I used to volunteer at the Animal Care Center in San Jose as a dog walker, which I loved. I did that for three years before transferring to a University. My journey with dog sitting began six years ago with Cali, the beloved golden retriever mentioned in my profile. Cali has been under my care throughout these years, allowing me to gain comprehensive experience in various aspects of dog care. One of the aspects that sets me apart from other sitters is my ability to cater to dogs at different stages of life. From playful puppies to senior dogs in need of special attention and medication, I am well-equipped to provide the care and love they require. Cali's impending crossing of the rainbow bridge has given me firsthand experience in handling the challenges and emotions associated with caring for senior dogs, ensuring they receive the utmost comfort and care during their golden years. Whether in my care or the client's domain, my focus remains on creating an environment where pets thrive through trust, security, and genuine care.

Kathy A.

“Kathy house sat our house and took care of our cat - Pierre - while we were away overseas for a couple of weeks. We usually have friends take care of him for short trips, but this being an extended period of time over a holiday period, we thought of having someone house sit for us. It was our first time with Rover.com, but everything went really well and to our satisfaction. Kathy is very professional and understands cats (Pierre adopted her from her first visit). A few days prior to our departure, we met one last time with Kathy to cover Pierre's habits and preferences. Kathy came prepared with questions after having read our instructions on Rover. While we were away, Kathy sent us regular pictures and updates on Pierre and the house in general, which helped us enjoy our trip even more, knowing the Pierre was in good hands. We will definitely think of hiring Kathy's services again the next time we leave for a trip!”

Becky M.
“Becky has lived with dogs all of her life. She has volunteered at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley for many years, learning about dog behavior and dealing with dogs of many temperments. She has often taken care of our two daschunds while we were away. She is a very responsible human being and would take excellent care of your pets.”

Nikki N.

“We loved having Nikki take care of Noodle and our house! We got lots of pictures and updates, and could tell that our dog enjoyed her company. She made us very comfortable with leaving Noodle in her care, and she was very on top of all of his medications as well. Highly recommend Nikki!”

Yaisa R.
About: I’ve raised five dogs of my own from puppyhood; as well as watched the dogs of my friends and family since I was young. I’ve had everything from mixed breeds, to French bulldogs, pugs, and even a pit bull! I have experience with oral medication administration and elderly dog care. My current dog was in my care before he could be weened, so I know plenty about little puppies! I believe in keeping my dogs as active as their health permits, so walks are a crucial part of the day for me. (If they can, of course. I’ve also had a senior dog with arthritis I’ve accommodated.) I have a knowledge of dog psychology and feel that it’s important to recognize dog behavior correctly. I’m currently working part time with a flexible schedule. As long as I know ahead of time, I’m most likely able to accommodate your pet. I always care for your pet as requested. Whether or not your pup is crate trained doesn’t matter, I’ve cared for both. If your dog needs medication, walks at certain times, a health specific diet, has allergies, can’t be around certain animals/noises/environments- I will go out of my way to make sure your pets needs are met. I will always treat your pet as my own.
