Emily was the best sitter we could have asked for! We have several animals; both dogs and cats, some with medication needs. She didn’t hesitate when we explained everything, and was more than up to the task! Our 20 year old cat, Goober, had especially specific instructions (including IV fluids), and Emily did every step we asked for, and went above and beyond. She understood how difficult it was to leave Goober at this point in his life (end stage renal disease) and made making him as comfortable as possible at all points in time a huge priority. She communicated frequently, sent tons of pictures, and made our wedding time completely peaceful knowing everyone was taken care of. Our home was completely perfect getting back to and she left a very sweet “just married” card for us. She will be our go-to for all of our future house-sits.

I engaged Katherine for a two-day, one night stay, rather last minute. She was terrific -- very communicative and punctual, attentive to my dog, took her on long walks, sent lots of pics. I would certainly hire her again.

This was my first time using Erika and she was great! She was very communicative and asked clarifying questions, as Ginger was anxious from the wind and unknown reasons. Erika is very caring and I can tell she loves animals. Ginger was happy and healthy when I came home and my house was clean and well cared for!

About: Hello!!! I’m Niki and I’ve been doing pet care, paid and unpaid for probably my whole life! I’ve always been an animal lover. So before I started my corporate job, I signed up for a different pet sitting app, which turned into traveling the world to care for pets. I have cared for animals in Costa Rica, England, France, Canada and all over the states. And have even been flown back to Canada and England multiple times for repeat pet sitting visits. When I started working corporate, I stopped doing it for a while. But I always miss caring for a sweet animal. Now that I have a remote corporate position, my work allows me deep pockets of time between meetings throughout the day, which gives me more time! I am signing back up to merge my two goals, caring for animals while making a little extra money for help me go to a destination wedding at the end of the year. Since it’s a destination wedding I’m also pretty determined to get in shape, so if you have an active animal that needs a good walk, I am your girl! I’m happy to provide references and additional photos as well. Please reach out if you have any questions at all! Since I work remotely I have a lot of time between meetings and I love to get outside as well. I’m fully off work by 4 pm but I will have multiple hours free during the day as well. I have my own car of course and it’s fully available to bring pets anywhere too! I treat every animal as if it were my own baby. With love and respect, I will ensure they feel safe and cared for but I have zero issues with excitement and fun. I’m pretty active and my parents own a 8 month old Doberman and previously owned Malinois… so I know crazy and how to handle it as well. Whatever direction or instruction I’m given I will follow :)

Leah was amazing! She saved the day when our other Rover sitter cancelled less than 48 hours before our trip. She even made time to come meet us and the dogs on such short notice. This was our first time using Rover and leaving our girls with anyone other than close family but Leah did not disappoint. She communicated well and sent lots of updates and pictures/videos which put our minds at ease. She left our home clean and everything was in order when we returned. We are so thankful to have found her!

About: I’ve always been a dog lover, and after more than 20 years of caring for them in different capacities, I still think getting to spend time with dogs is one of the best parts of life. They have so much to teach us about love, loyalty, and living in the moment. I’ve been the go-to dog sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for years, helping with everything from walks, feeding, and bathing to longer-term pet sitting. Because I work from home, I can spend the day with your dog, providing plenty of company, attention, walks, and playtime without leaving them alone for long stretches while you’re away. I also foster dogs through Animal Friends Alliance and have cared for dogs with a variety of needs, from puppies to older dogs recovering from major surgery. Fostering has made me even more patient, observant, and attuned to what each individual dog needs to feel safe and comfortable. I know how hard it can be to leave a beloved pet behind, so I’m happy to send plenty of photos and updates while you’re away. I want you to feel comfortable knowing your dog is happy, getting lots of attention, and being cared for by someone who genuinely loves being around them. I work from home, so I’m around most of the day and love that it gives me the flexibility to spend plenty of time with the dogs I’m caring for. I may step out for a few hours here and there for errands or other commitments, but otherwise I’m fully available to accompany your fur kids! Whether I’m pet sitting, stopping by for a visit, or taking your dog for a walk, I’ll follow their normal routine and any instructions you leave closely. I’m attentive to safety, medications, meals, walks, playtime, and all the little things that help your pet feel comfortable and cared for. When I’m in your home, I’ll treat it with the same care and respect I would my own. My goal is for your pet to be happy and relaxed and for you to feel completely at ease knowing they’re in good hands.

About: I've had my own dog for 10 years, and I grew up in a home with four cats, so animals have always been an important part of my life. I genuinely love caring for them and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and cared for. I know every animal has their own personality, routines, and needs, and I believe in meeting them where they are. Whether they want lots of attention and playtime or need a little more space and patience, I'll respect what makes them feel most comfortable. I'm very particular about who I trust with my own dog when I'm away, so I understand how big of a deal it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care. I want you to feel confident knowing that I'll treat your animals with the same love, patience, and attention I'd want someone to give my own. Most importantly, I'll do my best to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away. I work for myself doing graphic design and marketing for my clients, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m able to plan my workday around pet care and can be flexible with visits, walks, feeding times, and your pet’s usual routine. I want to make sure your animal gets the care and attention they need while you’re away! I will always follow the instructions you provide and do my best to keep your pet's normal routine consistent while you're away. I want them to feel comfortable, safe, and at ease in their own environment. I know from my own dog how important routine can be. He has particular feeding and walking times and can get thrown off when his schedule changes. I understand that your pet may have their own routines, preferences, and quirks too! I'll take the time to learn those and care for them the way they're used to, so life can feel as normal and comfortable as possible while their parent(s) are away.

FAQs for House Sitting - Buckeye

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Buckeye on Rover is $24.61 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,179 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Buckeye. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Buckeye walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Buckeye maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Buckeye choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Buckeye. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
