I was honestly a little nervous at first since I had never used Rover before or had strangers care for our dogs, especially since one of our dogs requires daily medication. We decided to do an initial meet-and-greet beforehand so we could get to know Cecilia and Ethan and make sure they were the right fit, and I’m so glad we did! I shared a detailed care guide with them, and they followed everything to a tee. They were incredibly responsible, attentive, and responsive throughout our entire trip. They also went above and beyond by taking our dogs out to the lake and even to Monterey! We received lots of photos and videos every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs basically had a little vacation of their own! 🥹 It’s very clear that Cecilia and Ethan genuinely care about dogs and put a lot of thought into making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. “Divya and Shane were amazing with Baxter and their dog Yukon is a really sweet dog too. Divya and Shane were flexible and accommodating with the pickup and dropoff times. They took good care of Baxter, enquired about his schedule and made sure Baxter is comfortable in their home. Yukon tried to get Baxter to play but Baxter, being older now, did not want to play and Yukon was content with being chill and giving him space. Baxter usually is not comfortable in other’s homes but he had a good time with Divya and Shane. Would highly recommend Divya and Shane and will be definitely be leaving Baxter with them again.”

About: I have rescued two of my own pups- Oli just passed away at the beginning of the year at almost 16, and Kevin passed in October at the age of 14. I miss the joy of having a dog but my heart can’t handle having my own again. I’d love to share my long (or short) walks with a sweet pup! Oli had health problems from the time she 2 weeks old which required a lot of time management and scheduling. I understand the importance of having a routine, and schedule to ensure the health and well-being of your animals. Our home has a lot of life and a lot of love- also a lot of land for running and hanging out. I am a stay at home mom so I am very flexible. Having a sick dog of my own, I had to ensure that the day started with her proper care- otherwise we all would be paying for it. Our animals can’t speak so we really need to be in tune with their needs so they don’t suffer at our expense. I love a good schedule- and so did my dogs. I swear they can tell time. In our house we have a routine that sets the tone for the day. I think that it is very important for the dog, the family, and the dog sitter to be on the same page and same schedule. A detailed list of rules, times, walking routes, etc. are very important to ensure proper care.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 6. I love every minutes spent with them. I guess that something written in gene. I am currently studying at home all day long. I do have two small kids but they both go to school at daytime. They both love animals like me do. I have a medium-sized lab and a chihuahua. Both of them are neutered and super friendly to other dogs. They are always expecting new friends to visit them.

About: I've grown up with dogs, and have had a dog as a pet and companion for most of my grown up life. I have even trained and boarded families dogs in the past. Our home is very pet friendly, as long as your pet doesn't mind little humans and another dog in the house. I just recently completed a beginners training program with my 8 month old dog, and we both learned a lot. We have a yard and a nice park next to our house, which is great for walks and playing with dog friends. I'm home most days, so I usually give my own dog several yard brakes a day, and he gets at least one visit to the park a day. I try to take him twice, but we don't always have time. When it comes to feeding, I'll follow any routine that is normal for your dog, but for our own dog, he eats 3 times a day. Plus a snack since he's still growing. The longest stretch your dog might be alone is about 4 hours, but mostly someone is around to keep your dog company. I have a fenced yard, that they can run around in with my dog. We also have a park next to our house and we go there, at least once a day for walks and to play.

I am currently preparing America vet license exam now, so I have a flexible schedule. I can do the pet care at all my daytime. I will drive to the client’s house, help to feed, walk and clean the urination and defecation. If pets need pats, I would stay for a while to talk and accompany with them.
