Hi, I'm Janine, your dog's most valuable caretaker and walking partner! As an experienced dog & puppy owner, past vet clinic employee, student and teacher of animal science, Pet Partners Team Evaluator for therapy animals, VCA staff photographer, equestrian, and puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind, I know how critical every interaction can be to reinforce stellar qualities in your canine citizen! I work from home with a flexible weekly schedule, stay fit, and keep my services local (within 3 miles of my location). My family boards and walk dogs for the sheer enjoyment of adventuring with our canine pals and we have experience handling the tiniest toy to the greatest Dane! Dog boarding with us is more than just FUN! On each interaction and walk, we ensure your dog is: 1. SAFE: Your dog’s safety is my top priority! I cater every walk to your dog’s age, size, health, well-being and energy level, paying careful regard to the weather, surrounding environment and other animals in our proximity. I prepare for every walk by carrying water, treats, waste bags, and cell phone...just in case! 2. STIMULATED: I view each walk as an opportunity for your dog to see, smell, hear, feel, and taste the world around him/her! From neighborhood streets, to paved park paths and rustic trails, I vary the route, direction, speed, and terrain of every walk to keep your dog engaged. I am also cautious and receptive to any stimuli that may trigger your dog to the point of becoming overly excited, anxious, fearful or aggressive. My walks keep your dog stimulated, not stressed! 3. SOCIALIZED: I help your dog become confident in the world around him/her by socializing him/her through appropriate environmental experiences that will develop patience, trust, obedience, and calm behavior. On our walks, I am often accompanied (at a safe distance) by my teenage kids and our pet dogs--people and dogs I know and trust to model good behaviors. I praise and reward your dog with organic treats for demonstrating loose-leash walking, responsiveness, and other positive, polite behaviors on every walk. But wait, there’s more! As a portrait photographer, I try to capture the essence of your dog during our time together and provide you with quality photos of your dog that are sure to make you smile! I am your 5-star dog boarder and walker--keeping your dog safe, stimulated and socialized each and every interaction!
