“Leah has been amazing! She is very understanding of Dolly's needs and helps us implement her current training on her walks. She is extremely knowledgeable and I look forward to continue working with her. 😊”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 12 years, growing up around pets and farm animals and continuing that passion throughout college. I recently graduated from Berea College and plan to attend veterinary school, so providing thoughtful, attentive care to animals is truly meaningful to me. During college, I worked on a farm caring for livestock including cattle, poultry, and swine. I monitored their health, assisted with vaccinations and routine care, and learned to recognize early signs of illness and stress in animals. I also worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Tennessee Avenue Animal Hospital, where I cared for dogs, cats, and exotic pets such as hamsters and lizards. I checked vital signs, assisted with treatments and surgeries, collected lab samples, and ensured animals were comfortable and safe during their stay. In high school, I participated in a program at the Cincinnati Zoo, and in college I conducted hands on research with goats. These experiences strengthened my understanding of animal behavior, enrichment, and species specific care. What sets me apart is my medical awareness and ability to notice subtle changes in behavior, appetite, or energy. Whether your pet is young, senior, shy, energetic, or requires medication, I am comfortable providing patient, attentive care tailored to their needs. I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am currently studying as I prepare for higher education, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to dedicate quality time to pet care. I truly enjoy having animal breaks throughout my day, whether that is a walk, a play session, a feeding visit, or quiet companionship time. Because I structure my days around studying, I can stay consistent with your pet’s normal routine. I am available for walks, and sitting throughout the week, and I am happy to discuss specific timing needs to ensure your pet receives reliable and attentive care. Caring for animals is something I intentionally make time for! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. With my background as a veterinary assistant and farm caregiver, I am trained to recognize signs of stress, illness, or discomfort and respond appropriately. In your home, I will treat your space with respect and care as if it were my own. I follow all instructions closely, maintain feeding schedules, refresh water, monitor litter boxes or outdoor areas, and ensure doors, gates, and crates are properly secured. I am comfortable administering medications if needed and can provide regular updates with photos so you feel confident and at ease while you are away. You can trust that your pet will receive patient, responsible, and thoughtful care every visit. :)
About: I've always had dogs growing up in the family. As soon as I was able to get my own, I got Bella when I was 20 years old and raised her for 13 years. In those 13 years, I also helped raise puppies and cared for a senior dog other than Bella. I just love dogs and spending time with them. After recently laying Bella to rest, I miss the little things caring for a dog entails, number 1 being walks and spoiling them with all the love they deserve. Live in Olney and working full time in Rockville 7am-330pm Mon-Fri with a flexible mid day break to go handle any walks/care as needed. I will follow whatever instructions needed for each individual dog. Having raised a dog beginning to end, I'm fully aware how different routines are helpful depending on any particular dogs needs. My old girl needed to be carried up/down stairs and I happily helped her everyday.

“Gianna started walking my dog weekly about a month ago. I went back and forth as to whether or not I wanted to hire someone given my dog’s reactivity on walks. I could not be happier with our choice to have Gianna!! She is responsible, communicative, patient and kind. My dog is noticeably happier when I get home, and it feels like a huge weight is off our shoulders to know he is being cared for by someone who cares for and loves him like I do. I can’t recommend her enough!!”

“Alissa is wonderful with our dog - who loves her. She’s thorough and conscientious, and always detailed in reporting back. She understands his quirks and clearly has a great understanding of behavior. Perfect communication and extremely reliable.”

“Wow! Bentley had such a great time with Alex. This was my first experience with Rover and I couldn’t be more pleased. Alex worked with my schedule and fit Bentley in quickly. Alex gave Bentley lots of snuggles too which meant a lot to my fur baby. Thank you❤️”

“Marco has been absolutely wonderful with our dog. He's very kind, and his level of communication is so appreciated. He goes the extra mile every day in his care for our dog on their daily walks. Really really grateful we found him for our pup!”

“Naedra helped us out last minute. She was super easy to communicate with. She took great care of our puppy, taking him on two walks each day. She sent pictures and filled us in on everything. We really appreciated her helping us and will definitely use her again!”

“Melissa is wonderful! I have used her services twice. She is very communicative and goes above and beyond. She is attentive and makes sure to check my dog’s water bowl. She sends me great pictures of their walks together. She gave me great peace of mind!”

About: I've been a dog sitter for 8 years and have cared for various breeds, sizes, and ages. I am very good with dogs, and can connect with them well. Currently I volunteer as a dog walker for PAW (Partnership for Animal Welfare), and I have fostered for the organization on numerous occasions (fostered three dogs and three cats). I am experienced with dogs that have special needs (administering medications, crate training, behavioral, etc) and I am energetic and fun. Previously I was a part time employee at Sniffers Doggie Retreat, a dog daycare in Rockville Maryland where I learned a lot about different temperaments and how to deal with pets in virtually any situation. I am punctual and can follow schedules really well. I'll also send tons of pictures and videos of your loved ones as often as you want, since I am sure you will miss them! If you want a responsible sitter with a great deal of experience, I'm the one for you. Contact me if you are interested and we can set up a meet and greet before you decide on hiring me. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I can take your pup out every 2-4 hours or as needed. I will follow the routine provided by the client. Pet care will be my sole focus while I am housesitting! I will follow whatever schedule you provide and make sure everything I do aligns with it. If dogs are being crate trained I will make sure they stay in the crate when not being supervised. I am very punctual and follow instructions easily so there are no worries of accidents in your home. At your home, I will make sure everything remains the same as you left it!
About: I've grown up with animals (1 dog, 5 cats) throughout my life and adore the kind companionship they offer. When I was in middle school 2 friends and myself started a dog walking business and donated all proceeds to the SPCA. I also used to pet/house sit for a couple different neighbors in my community as a kid. I am a current cat mom to Samson, a cute all black American shorthair kitty. He is high energy and loves to play, but once he gets sleepy he is all about the cuddles :) I recently started my own online coaching business so I have some freedom & flexibility with my schedule. I also work as a server at a local wine bar MTuWF so there are some limitations on those specific days in terms of visit timing and frequency. I would love to find some local furry companions to walk or sit for. I am available for walks and drop-in Tues, Thurs, Sat & Sun. I am also open to house sitting while you are out of town, but may need to be gone 6-7hrs some days if I am working. While I won't be caring for pets in my own home, I am happy to comply with whatever pet care protocols you currently have in place or would like to have in place while away.
