Work From Home - Doggy Vacation!!Northglenn, CO

Thanks for checking out my profile!

My name is Chris and I'm a HUGE dog lover. I work from home so I have the privilege of getting to play with dogs all day every day! My number 1 goal is to make sure your furry child has the best time while you are away. I have been watching dogs for over 6 years now and we've had 100's of doggies come over to play and socialize. Whether it's just for the day or 2 weeks while you are out of town, they will have the time of their lives and come back home exhausted from playing all day.

Working from home allows your dog to never be alone! I know it can be worrisome that your furry child may be kenneled or stuck inside without the ability to go the bathroom, BUT NOT HERE. Your dog will never be left alone or unattended. If they go outside, I go outside. If they want to play, I'll play with them until they are tired:). If they want to take a nap, we have a ton of dog beds or they can cuddle with me right on the couch. Whatever they want to do they can!

Just some things I do daily:

- We have a big fenced in back yard (and by big I mean HUGE). I typically work outside so I can watch the dogs as they run all over place! If it's raining or snowing outside, the dogs can still go out anytime through our doggy door (I also crack open the living room door if they aren't use to that). We have 100's of toys (tennis balls, ropes, squeakers, etc..) that are at their disposal. Usually by noon everyone is ready for a nap after a long morning of festivities.

- At night time depending on their energy level, I'll take your dog for a walk around the neighborhood. I'd say 99% of the time they just want to go to bed from exhaustion, but we've watch some pups that have an uncanny endurance drive and need the last bit of energy zapped. After a long day all dogs are welcome to sleep on the bed (I upgraded to a King size to accommodate the extra heads) or they can choose one of the dozen of dog beds.

Other Benefits

- Picture, pictures, and more pictures. Just to make sure you know your dog is being taken care of and having the time of their life, I make it a point to send tons of pictures throughout the day. From running around, to playing outside, to taking a nap on the couch, you'll know exactly how your dog is doing. I take over 1000 photos a day, but I send the best ones (even a few to make you laugh)

- Outside of the daily routine, our house is 100% pet friendly. Our furniture is their furniture. Our beds are their beds. We have several water bowls always filled, dog beds inside and outside the house, and probably 50lbs of treats.

- Training can be an ongoing chore and we don't want to stop anything you've been working on. Having a lot of dogs around can really help speed up the learning curve as your dog can watch other dogs follow a command and pick it up quickly. Just let us know if there is anything you'd like us to work on and I typically spend 20-30 minutes a day helping your pup with sitting, staying, lying down, coming, etc...)

A little about our dogs: (Updated March 2019)

We have 3 dogs that love people and other dogs.

- First is a 11yr old husky that has always grown up around other dogs. She is starting to get a little lazy, but acts like a 2yr old at the park.

- Second is a 1yr old husky who will play all day if your dogs like. She can be a little shy at first, but after an hour she will be best friends.

- Third one is a 4yr old lab mix (we think). She has also grown up around dogs her whole life and is a big cuddler. She often goes to work every day so your pup may not see her most days.

DOGGY DAY CARE

- As we have been doing Rover for years, we do have some awesome dogs that come by regularly to socialize. Every month we see to be adding a few to the pack. On any given day there may be 5-10 dogs here that are all friendly and know each other well. It doesn't take long for a new comer to be welcomed to the pack :) Outside of our 3 dogs, some other dogs you may encounter:

1. We have a 11 month old husky that comes over Monday - Friday. At 6:30am he comes in ready to play and will make sure every dog is tired by the afternoon. Although he is high energy, he is super sweet and submissive if other dogs are tired and want to stop playing.

2. We have a 1yr old Great Pyranese that comes over Tuesdays and Thursdays. He can be intimidating at first due to his size, but he is the friendlies dog you'll meet and everyone loves tugging at his thick fur.

3. We have a 3yr old Chihuahua that comes over Monday - Friday. She is a sweetheart and loves to snuggle. She will say hi to everyone, but typically does her own thing.

4. We have two 1yr old black labs that come over every Tuesday. They have really opened up in the last couple months and love to play.

5. We have a 4 month old German Sheppard that comes over Monday - Friday. She is a ball of energy, but after 30 minutes of play she is ready for a nap.

6. We have a 7 month old Goldendoodle that comes over 2-3 times a week. He also loves to play and is addicted to tennis balls.

7. We have a 5 month old lab that comes over 2-3 times a week. He is super friendly and will play all day if other doggies are up for it.

8. We do also have 5-6 other dogs that will come over a couple times a week to hang out. We do make sure everyone gets a long and have never had any issues. It truly is a mini dog park here and by the end of the day, they will be falling asleep in your car on the way home :)

DOGGY BOARDING

We love having dogs stay overnight! Obviously from above they will get a ton of play time during the day and at night time it's relaxation. We have watched dogs ranging from 4 months old up to 14 years old. We have also administered medications and will make sure your doggies are well taken care for. Often we do get some dogs that are a little shy or have some anxiety as they haven't been around a lot of dogs and we want to make sure they also feel safe and comfortable. Usually within a day they are excited to play, but we will give them some alone time and make sure they happy. The greatest feeling is when you come back from your vacation and your dog has really opened up and wants to play with everyone!

Thanks again for checking out my profile. We can't wait to watch your furry little friends and will treat them like they are our own.

Buffalo Run Dog BoardingCommerce City, CO

We would love to spend time with your best friend(s) while you are at work or away on a trip. My wife and I both work from home. We have a wonderful house with a fenced backyard on the Buffalo Run golf course. The yard includes synthetic turf that is green year ‘round. I always clear the snow so even on winter days everyone can still keep a watchful eye on the Canadian geese. Inside we have plenty of floors, couches and beds ready for relaxing. We have a rescued Havanese that we really, really love and is the true boss around here. He is one of the sweetest and most mellow dogs you will ever meet. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Stay at home doggie dad. Love all pets but dogs are the best. They are our kids and they are spoiled just like a that. They are the only thing we think about. Morning, noon or night they are by our side. Our babies. Never physical punishment but they do get time outs in their kennels if they have been misbehaving. We have a very open floor plan in the house which they run around and the back door is always open for them to come in and out. The back yard is very large with trees and shrubs that they play in and around. It is a fully fenced six foot enclosed yard with plenty of room to roam or run. Last of all no neighbor dogs to annoy them.

Professional Knowledge and Love!Northglenn, CO

I realize it is a lot, but please read all of my information before deciding to contact me!!

I have worked with quite a few dog daycare businesses, and also ran one for years. I'm a Certified Dog Trainer, and Schooled Dog Behaviorist. My concerns are not only the physical well being of all dogs, but their mental health as well! I have hosted many, many dogs in my home, and they are an important part of my life and career! I strive for dogs in my care to be (or become) confident, happy, feel at ease, and thrive. I can help you with many issues you may have with your dog outside the "Daycare/Boarding" situation. I work with up to date, modern Positive Reinforcement Training techniques, and not old fashioned, outdated, fear causing Negative Reinforcement tactics that only instill fear in a dog! Fear is the main reason dogs behave and/or become aggressive, or even vicious! Choke chains, pinch collars, and shock collars etc. will always do way more mental harm (and physical harm) than anything good, so don't believe everything you hear. Especially from someone that has not been properly schooled in the modern behavior field. Some want to sell you whatever they can to make profits! Others may have outdated information? You have to live with your dog, so why not be proactive!

Due to the Covid-19 virus it probably isn't a good idea to have a meet & greet at my home before you decide if your dog is a good fit to stay with me for either Daycare or Boarding. Instead, for now, it's probably best to have a talk on the phone or messages through here.

I do have to be very sure that any dog that comes in for any period of time, is not going to become aggressive or attack other dogs or humans. Remember dogs can act very differently in a new strange place, and when you're not around with them. For a new dog that is only slightly nervous and just needs a bit of time to realize that he is going to be safe, and will relax after the initial entry period, that is basically normal. I just need to be sure all the dogs in my care are going to be safe and happy! I do the Social Distancing when dogs come into my home. I will explain the "Drop-Off" "Pick-Up" process when we talk. I will want to know all the details about your dog(s) when we talk.

If this sounds good to you, please contact me.

"My pets are like my children"Broomfield, CO

I am a Lifelong pet lover that has had pets of all different types my whole life. My pets are like my children. To me, animals are just like people except that pets always give unconditional us love. We lost our two 4-legged children in December 2015. We had a German Shepherd (14) named "Ava" and a 1/2 Bassett Hound-1/2 St. Bernard (15) named "Bernie." They were such a big part of our life and we miss them very much. We cannot bring ourselves to get another dog of our own quite yet...

Taking care of your dog(s) will help us move on so that we can add to our family, in time. I do not work, so have plenty of time and they will not be left alone. We have a back yard with a privacy fence and neither of the side neighbors have dogs. On the other side of our locked gate is a walking path/greenbelt that is great for walking dogs. We have no children at home and plenty of space.

Daycare hours are between 6 am and 6 pm and if they are staying overnight, they must be picked up by 11 am the following morning. After 11 am, you will be charged for daycare on the second day.

Please bring your own food because I cannot provide every dog's normal food. I will give treats unless our they have dietary needs. I have toys but if they have a special toy I will keep them in a different area when not in use. It’s hard but I can not take dogs with the same or only a day notice as much as I would love to take every furry child I could, however if they don’t get along with others it may put other at risk.

Your Dogs Home Away From Home!Thornton, CO

Since I was little, dogs have always been my favorite pets. From pure bred goldens, labs and corgies to a rescued husky lab and chihuahua, we have always lived with one or two dogs and yes, they have definitely been a part of our family! We live in Thornton, CO and my sweetie and I are both self-employed with very flexible schedules making it easy to make sure your pet has company and walking time most of the day and evening. Our large fenced back yard is a great place to hang out and although Max, our corgi, made a good companion for your dogs when they come to visit, we are very sorry to say that Max passed away last fall. Although we do miss having our own dog, we have decided not to adopt a new dog for now: we will just enjoy all of the special dogs who come to stay with us!

Fun in the MountainsCommerce City, CO

I have 2 dogs that were rescued together. They are very friendly, non territorial dogs who love new dogs and to play, hike, and have fun. My home is dog proofed as I have no kids, they are my kids. I have play toys, Chew toys, and balls, etc. if they choose to play, or multiple dog beds and couches if they want to lounge and sleep, whatever you, the owner prefer. When I travel, I have 2 people who watch my dogs, and I am never worried about them. I want every dog owner to feel the same way and have the same peace of mind, that their dog is in great hands and will be well cared for, 24 hours a day. I am always easy to reach, and send pictures and videos of the dogs and their day. I also have a webcam to watch them when I am gone.

Why I love dog sitting

I got a dog for my 9th birthday and had him until I was 23. I got my last 2 rescue dogs together 12 years ago.

About my yard

It is fenced in with 2 separate doors into and out of the house.
