Pet care experience

Passionate Pet Pro For 16+ Years!

I love dogs of all shapes and person alities. In the last 20+ years I have fostered both large and small dogs of all kinds as well as cared for many different show dogs. I am absolutely head over heels for my Kerry and have loved my past bichon, standard poodle and rotweillers that I lost at a ripe old ages. As an ambitious groomer with a decade and a half's experinece I developed an attention to detail and safety as a pet care professional. I continue my education in Dogs and thier nuances; taking a course, Dog Cognition, offered by Duke University, as well as other pet care and behavior related classes/seminars. I'm sensitive to behavior and physical issues that can arise with your pet(s) and I genuinely care about their experience. I am also particularly experinced in identifying grooming related issues and suggestions to provide solutions. I see dogs as their own sentient beings and our scentific research is beginning to show the intelligence they posess. I live in well finished tiny home on a non working farm with a fenced yard. There are also many places to explore on walks nearby and live dog TV happening all around us.

Sam was absolutely wonderful with our two older dogs. She was attentive, gentle, and handled their medication without any issues. When some last-minute changes came up and we needed to adjust our schedule and add drop-in visits, she was responsive and completely reliable. Her reports were thorough and full of pictures, and you could tell she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. We’ll be using her from now on. Highly recommend!

We absolutely adore our pet sitter! She is truly the only person we trust with our pups, and that says everything. She takes such amazing care of them and always keeps us updated with so many pictures and videos, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. Our dogs always look SO happy, loved, and spoiled when they’re with her. You can tell she genuinely cares about every animal like they’re her own. We are beyond grateful for her and couldn’t recommend her more! 🐾❤️

Samantha was terrific, very detailed and loving to our animals. She is a pro! It was an easy transition to turn care over to her as we rushed out to our event. We highly recommend her services and will use her again.

Samantha was wonderful with our anxious boy. She is so calm and created a very comfortable and safe environment for the dogs. Samantha sent updates and pics regularly and when we picked up our boy he was clearly relaxed and happy. Samantha’s dog,Cyn, was great with our boy and it appears they are now fast friends. We will absolutely bring our boy to Samantha and Cyn anytime we can’t take him with us. I highly recommend Samantha.

Finding Samantha has changed my life. Before, my beloved (fussy, anxious) dog had become such a tricky issue that I couldn't really travel without him. Now, after a year and a half, Samantha has become a crucial part of our setup. Trustworthy up the kazoo, kind and warm, she connects deeply with pets and has many years of professional experience working with them. My dog howls with joy when she comes. And I can head off knowing that he's utterly safe and happy in her care. Thank you Rover and Samantha! I ouldn't be more grateful.

Safety, trust & environment

In your home I am happy to learn your pet's routine and help to keep that familiarity while you're away. In my tiny home on a farm I have a fence yard and lots of places to walk and explore. Coming here is an entire experience. My 2 year old 30 lb Kerry Blue Terrier (responsibly not neutered in case that is important) loves to meet new friends, happily welcoming them into our home. He has never shown aggression even playing with other intact males. He loves playing with other dogs but was also taught to be respectful of their social cues. He's been great with both small and extra large dogs as he was raised with a senior small dog and has friends of all sizes and play styles.

Pets

A typical day

I will look for walks around the residence and will look forward to exploring the area together taking the individual's preferences into consideration. If your dog is energetic and inquisitive we will go at a fast pace and explore places/things along the way. If your dog is more of the shy or lower geared personality we will stoll at a leisurely pace and maybe try to overcome that shyness by building confidence. Staying in my home is an entire experience. We spend most of our time together outside with my door open. We also have a pond the pups like to watch through the fence with ducks and geese and even pelicans coming and going. Treats and food allergies/intolerances are discussed to avoid issues.
