“I have just started using the Rover app and I am extremely happy and grateful for finding Stephanie. She is very professional, great in communicating and very attentive. Most importantly she is very kind and very caring of my Stella. When Stephanie stops by my mind is definitely at ease knowing my Stella is in great hands. You will not be disappointed booking with Stephanie 😊”

About: I’ve been raised around pets all my life. More of a cat person but love to take care of dogs as well and will give them much love ♥️ I recently moved to Florida to look after my papa with dementia and helping out my grandparents. Looking for work as well especially love taking care of animals. Have a cat, dog and a few fishies I take care of. I have helped look after family members pets. Some with very low maintenance cats all the way up to dogs with lots of energy. Usually take the dog out and feed my animals twice a day. Make sure they get play time but also much lovies.
“Trust these girls to follow my instructions for care. By the exceptional care given to my cat, Stephanie and Elizabeth shown me how they love animals - as if they were caring for animals of their own. Very pleased with their service and happy to recommend them to other clients. Shelley”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From iguanas and hamsters to cats and dogs, I’ve cared for just about every kind of furry, scaled, and whiskered companion along the way 🐾 I’ve especially spent most of my life caring for dogs, so understanding their personalities, routines, and needs comes naturally to me. I currently have a 14 year old dog who is truly my pride and joy, and caring for her has only deepened my love and patience for animals. You can trust that I’ll treat your pets with the same attention, affection, and care I give my own. Your pets won’t just be looked after, they’ll be genuinely loved 🤍 I work full time (9-5) but in the evenings and Weekends I am free(: so any needs you may have please don’t hesitate to reach out. 😌 Well I’m sure since I can’t provide my own home, that you the owner will let me know any safety hazards or things I would need to know before anything
“Jenn Is outstanding!!! We recently moved to the area and was in need of someone to drop in on our dog from time to time. We have used Jenn's services multiple times and she is always punctual, professional, and courteous. I don't think we could have found a person better suited to care for our dog. I highly recommend her!!!”

About: I like to work on tricks, patience, and leash pulling while dogsitting. I am not a certified dog trainer but just like to help give dogs structure while in my care to hopefully build or keep good habits for their owners. I am comfortable with providing medications to both cats and dogs orally or with food- no injections. I always leave your home cleaner than I found it, wash my linens, and do basic home cleaning so when you return home you can focus on your fur babies and relaxation! I am currently working a full time position Monday through Fridays 8am-4pm. I can let dogs out before and after work and depending on your homes distance from my office, I can offer a quick lunch time potty break or walk. I treat every animal I come across with the same care and love I have for my own. I am the kind of woman who gets excited seeing any kind of animal while out and about and has to stop the owner to see if I can say hello to their fur baby!☺️ Animals fill my cup up and I hope I can do the same for them. Snuggling with my fur babies is my favorite pastime.
About: What makes me different is the genuine care and attention I give to every pet. I understand that leaving your pets with someone else can be stressful, so my goal is to make sure both you and your pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I have experience caring for animals with different personalities, needs, and routines, and I’m comfortable providing plenty of playtime, attention, feeding, walks, and companionship. I’m also patient, dependable, and attentive to details, which helps me notice when something is different with a pet’s behavior or routine. My experience as a Med Tech in an assisted living facility has also taught me responsibility, patience, compassion, and how important it is to follow care instructions carefully. I bring those same qualities to pet sitting. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, elderly, or needs a little extra attention, I’ll treat them with the same love and respect I would give my own pets. I currently work part-time as a Med Tech at an assisted living facility. My schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Outside of those hours, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for your pets needs. I’m happy to provide reliable & loving care. When caring for pets in your home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any other special care. I’ll also give your pets plenty of love and attention while keeping your home clean and respectful. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️

About: I am a professional baseball player and an absolute animal lover. I grew up with a very energetic pup, and now have 2 cats that I absolutely adore. I also have plenty of experience dog/cat sitting for neighbors/family/friends. Excited to meet and play with all kinds of new animals! I play professional baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates. I am string and capable of handling even the most energetic of pups. I am obligated to training/working out from 9 am until around noon each day. I have the rest of the day to myself, which means plenty of time for the animals! My cats are absolutely spoiled. Between toys, cats trees, the best food, pets, (and sometimes butt smacks for the little cat), there is no shortage of love for the cats in my household. I will cater to every pet owners needs, as well as the animals needs. I will bring love and effort into every household i step into.
About: I am a retired RN who is currently without any of my own pets to love, so I plan to give my love to yours. I have been a pet sitter for Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rodents and Reptiles. As an RN I have many skills that transfer to pets and I use those on the pets I care for as well. I'm a keen observer and problem solver. I am available to do drop-ins, extended care in your home (with light housekeeping and plant care for additional fee). I am flexible in my schedule and can do long-term (more than 7 days) care if needed. I will be present for as much or as little as your pet requires. I've cared for animals from babies to seniors and can provide the appropriate level of care needed. I have administered injections, pills, topical treatments and wound care to pets. I'm here to care for your furry, feathery, scaly and shelly friends. One Caveat: Walking Dogs who are pullers is not my forte. If you have a large or Medium dog who is used to walking and can be corrected with gentle reminders is fine. I have no schedule limitations at this time. I can be available as little or as much as you need. For short or extended care. The first thing I do is have an in-depth meeting with you about your pet's needs while you are absent. Then I develop a plan based on their typical schedule for waking, feeding, potty, walking, sleeping and medicating. I will attempt to keep as close as possible to their normal routine. I am a gentle corrector unless the behavior or situation is dangerous to them or those around them. I give lots of cuddling and rubs if they want them and respect their need for space too. If they sleep with you, they'll sleep with me. I will follow your directions for their care as closely as possible. Basically, I'll treat them as if they are mine, but love them as if I was you.
“Michael was great watching our boy Maverick! Maverick is a 110lb Doberman and Michael did a great job handling him on walks! He was reliable with letting him out 3x per day and making sure Maverick had food and water. Overall, we felt super comfortable with him taking care of our baby while we were out of town! We will definitely be using him again in the future!”

“Cymberly was awesome. Very respectful, extremely responsive and dependable. I will be only be reaching out to her from now on to take care of my beloved pup! Also, my dog is extremely sensitive & she was able to masterfully handle and bond with my dog.”

“Nicole has been wonderfully attentive to our skiddish cats. She had checked in with me everyday and asked all the important questions. From our meet and greet, I could tell she was a kind and sincere person. Her background of working with animals is impressive. We will definitely be booking with Nicole again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
