“Mckayla did an amazing job watching my cat, Panda! She sent lots of pictures, played with her, and gave clear updates that made me feel at ease while I was on my cruise. Thank you again!”

“Alina was great in every way, it was a pleasure to work with her. You can tell she really loves animals and made quick friends with our kitty, who is usually very shy with new people. Alina’s communication was excellent from the start, and we never had to wait for an update or a reply. She provided detailed updates after each visit with plenty of pictures. We would love to work with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Angelina was amazing with our three pups, always on time and gave them all the love they needed while we were away. Would highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future!”

“Catherine is FANTASTIC! Levi fell in love immediately! She stayed and played with him. Fed him and loved on him. He was so relaxed when we got home. Priceless. Thank you Catherine!!”

“Michael was very helpful with my last minute cat sitting needs. He provided short but thorough updates each visit, and my cats definitely appreciated their playtime.”

“Kaitlyn has cared for my dog and cat through both check-ins and overnight stays, and I couldn’t be happier with her service. She is reliable, punctual, communicative, and always provides great updates and photos that give me peace of mind while I’m away. She’s also been able to help on short notice, which I greatly appreciate. Her kindness and genuine care for my pets truly set her apart. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have worked with dogs in the grooming industry and the veterinary industry. I have experience and certified in Fear Free, trained to read and properly handle animals body language. I take care of my grandparents dogs often and have a dog of my own. I currently work from 8-4 Monday through Friday. I am able to feed your fur babies and take them for their evening walks. I am completely free on the weekends for drop-in, extended visits, or over night stays! I prefer to take care of animals in their own homes to reduce the stress. A slow introduction is a must, especially as a new person in their environment. I follow feeding instructions to a tee as well as any other instructions left. Play time and walks are a must!
“Fran is awesome with Toby. She plays with him and send detailed updates. Fran is also willing to make schedule adjustments and stop by at early morning or late night visits which is very much appreciated.”

“Christie is my go to dog sitter from now on ! She always goes above and beyond for my dogs and I ! She is amazing and has gained both of my dogs trust AND love which means so much to me ! Thank you again so much Christie we appreciate you !”

“Mikaila was very professional, and followed all instructions regarding dropping in on my two cats. It was my first time using rover, and I am pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend Mikaila for pet/house sitting for anyone.”

About: Plenty of references with my regular customers that I can share. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I’ve long been the go-to person for family and friends when they need someone they trust to care for their pets. I also volunteer with Dogs Inc., which has given me even more appreciation for understanding dog behavior and providing consistent, thoughtful care. Hi! I’m a lifelong dog mom and recently retired professional who now has the time to focus on something I truly love spending time with animals. Animals have always been part of my life, and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I’m also a volunteer with Dogs Inc., which has given me an even deeper appreciation for dog behavior, patience, and understanding different personalities. I’m physically fit and active, so daily walks, playtime, and keeping up with energetic dogs is something I truly enjoy. I share my home with my dog Roxie, who absolutely loves having visiting dogs around. She’s very friendly and quickly becomes the welcoming committee for any new house guests. Because I’m retired, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, visits, playtime, and companionship. Whether your dog needs exercise, a midday visit, or a comfortable place to stay, I love making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I provide a safe, calm, and trusting environment and care for every pet just as I would my own, with plenty of attention, love, and care.
“Hannah made friends quickly with Layla, our rat terrier, who isn't always the friendliest with newcomers. Hannah was on time with Layla's walks and visits, showed us pictures that put our minds at ease while we were away. Will definitely use her again if she is available.”

“Johanna was great! She accommodated my last-minute request when my other sitter fell through, and she kept me updated the entire time. I really appreciated her abundant communication!”

About: I’ve had the joy of caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and needs — from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience supporting dogs with cancer and mobility challenges, making sure they stay comfortable, loved, and happy. I know how important it is to follow special routines, medications, and gentle handling for pets who need extra care. I’ve also trained my own dogs to use the potty outside, walk calmly on leash, and respond to basic commands — so patience and positive reinforcement are second nature to me. Whether it’s daily walks, cuddles, or keeping up with a strict medication schedule, I treat every pet like family. What sets me apart is my calm, caring approach and ability to adapt to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I don’t just “watch” pets — I connect with them, comfort them, and make sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. Your pets deserve the best care — and that’s exactly what I provide. ❤️ Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to give pets my full attention throughout the day. My schedule allows me to take frequent breaks for walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles — making sure every pet gets plenty of love and activity. Because I’m home most of the time, pets are never left alone for long, and I can easily adjust my day around their needs, from medication schedules to potty breaks. Whether it’s a morning walk, mid-day snuggle, or evening play session, caring for pets naturally fits into my everyday life — it’s something I truly enjoy and look forward to! Pet safety is always my top priority! Since I have a dog who loves to chew on just about anything, I’ve become very mindful about keeping my home — and my clients’ homes — completely pet-safe. I make sure anything that could be harmful or tempting to chew on is put away, and that pets have a clean, comfortable, and secure space to relax and play. When I’m caring for your furbaby, I treat them exactly the way I’d want someone to care for mine — with patience, love, and attention to detail. I stick to their routines, provide plenty of playtime and cuddles, and make sure they always feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. 🐾
“I prefer to book with Angelina, especially on longer vacations because she does a great job. She reliable, always shows up, and does a little extra and thinks of small ways to help.”

“I highly recommend Hue Man! From the start, she was very attentive, making sure all of my pups routines were followed. She was very punctual, communicated clearly, and treated my pups like her own. I will definitely be booking again!"”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,776 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Terra Ceia. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Terra Ceia. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
