“My puppy, Miss Daisy, met Jennifer today. She has separation anxiety and is only 10 months old. I had no worries leaving my home and found her in great spirits upon my return. She paid extra attention to her with a couple of walks and lots of cuddling, too. Thanks, Jennifer, you will hear from me soon!”

“I can’t recommend Stephanie and Elizabeth enough! They took wonderful care of my cats, Lady and Mochi, while I was away. Mochi, who doesn’t warm easily to strangers, was given special attention to ensure she ate and felt comfortable, all while keeping my sociable Lady entertained and loved. It was such a relief knowing both my fur babies were in such caring hands. I’ll definitely be booking them again!”

“Stacey is great She took care of my cat, Earl for 2 weeks. Excellent communication. Earl is very timid with new people, often hiding under the furniture until they leave. After more than a week, he decided that she would do as my replacement and made some appearances! Highly recommend! Thank you!”

“Michael was great watching our boy Maverick! Maverick is a 110lb Doberman and Michael did a great job handling him on walks! He was reliable with letting him out 3x per day and making sure Maverick had food and water. Overall, we felt super comfortable with him taking care of our baby while we were out of town! We will definitely be using him again in the future!”

About: I’ve been raised around pets all my life. More of a cat person but love to take care of dogs as well and will give them much love ♥️ I recently moved to Florida to look after my papa with dementia and helping out my grandparents. Looking for work as well especially love taking care of animals. Have a cat, dog and a few fishies I take care of. I have helped look after family members pets. Some with very low maintenance cats all the way up to dogs with lots of energy. Usually take the dog out and feed my animals twice a day. Make sure they get play time but also much lovies.
“Harper was absolutely amazing with my two pups! She was very responsive and frequently sent pictures while I was away. I felt reassured knowing that I had a sitter who I could trust.”

“Andie was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond while watching my two kitties. I could not be more grateful and happy that I booked with her, one thousand percent recommend!!!”

“Kaitlyn has cared for my dog and cat through both check-ins and overnight stays, and I couldn’t be happier with her service. She is reliable, punctual, communicative, and always provides great updates and photos that give me peace of mind while I’m away. She’s also been able to help on short notice, which I greatly appreciate. Her kindness and genuine care for my pets truly set her apart. I highly recommend her!”

“Mckayla did an amazing job watching my cat, Panda! She sent lots of pictures, played with her, and gave clear updates that made me feel at ease while I was on my cruise. Thank you again!”

“Alexandra did a fantastic job with our two cocker spaniels, including our energetic puppy. She spent quality time playing with them, took them outside, and made sure they got treats and attention. It’s clear she’s very comfortable handling both puppies and active adult dogs. Our 3 year old can be a handful, and she handled both of them with ease. We came home to two happy, well cared for pups. We’d definitely book her again!”

“LeeAnn was absolutely wonderful with our little pup. We had her come do a couple drop in visits while we were at work and felt confident he was in good hands. We also loved the picture updates! We will definitely be booking LeeAnn again in the future! :)”

About: I grew up on a Midwest hobby farm surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and ducks, so animal care has always been second nature to me. Today, I share my life with a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois who was born blind. If you know Malinois, you know they are high-energy, intensely smart working dogs. You would never guess mine is blind! Raising and training him from a puppy required extra focus on safety, clear communication, and non-judgmental use of training tools, including Herm Sprenger collars and e-collars with vibration cues. Through consistency and patience, he now walks comfortably in a gentle harness with rock-solid basic commands, recall, and search skills. I share this because I truly understand that every dog has unique needs, training levels, and reactivity. You will never be judged here. My top priority is keeping everyone safe and comfortable while respecting the tools and routines that work best for your dog. Why work with me? Special Needs & High-Energy Expertise: From tiny companions to large working breeds, blind or special-needs pets, I have the experience and patience to handle them with care. Flexible WFH Schedule: Working from home means I offer consistent supervision, companionship, and routine adherence throughout the day. Safety & Peace of Mind: I prioritize safety above all else, ensuring your dog gets the physical exercise and mental stimulation they need without unnecessary stress. I genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that means training, playing, or relaxing together. Most importantly, I will treat your pets with the exact same love, vigilance, and dedication I give my own! Because I work from home, my schedule is very flexible. I can easily adjust my day to fit your pet’s routine, whether that means walks, meals, playtime, or quiet companionship. I have ample experience caring for pets in their familiar environment. I follow your instructions carefully, keep your home tidy, and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
About: Dog owner of 18 years, spend 90% of my time at home watching over my dog and our cat. Currently working towards becoming a dog trainer for K-9’s! Love all animals of all sizes. If they’re shy, that’s ok! If they’re hyper also ok! Will take care of your furry friend until you can come for them. My partner and I live in a home that allows your pet to be on furniture which is cleaned weekly, we understand accidents may happy and that’s just life. I take Great pride when I sit my friends dog, and now I’m looking to expand my home to welcome your best friends. I will also provide them With their 30 minute walks given the size of the dog sometimes they need longer walks!
About: My tagline is how I see pets - they are family! I grew up having dogs, cats, bunnies, and fish. When I moved to Florida 5 years ago, I didn’t have any family so I decided to pick up pet sitting. I understand the importance of catering to each animal’s needs. If your pet is laid back and wants cuddles, we can do that. If your pet is energetic and needs to run, we can do that too! I look forward to meeting you and your furry fam 😊 I currently have a full time job M-F, 8-5 that is flexible with working from home. There are rare times where I need to go into the office, so I require that your pet is fine being alone for 4-8 hours. I also have a dog and cat who are friendly with other dogs and cats. My dog is 2 and loves to play. When boarding, I have ample space to set up your pet’s crate, bed etc in the living room or bedroom if they typically keep it there. I’m a big cuddler, so I am fine with them sleeping in the bed if that is what they are used to. I have a fully fenced in backyard, so rest assured your pets can run free safely. I also just purchased a kiddie pool for fun water days in the hot summer heat!
About: I have had an animal in my house since I was born. At the most I was caring for my 3 cats and dog. I am comfortable walking both large and smaller dogs. Additionally, I love cats and would be comfortable caring for them as well. I will love your animals as if they were my own fur babies. I live in Bradenton, Florida and im currently a remote law student working from Home. I look forward to meeting some animals and taking care of them as if they were my own! The house is smoke free, child free and animal free. There is a pool here if your dog is a big swimmer and large backyard they can run around and play fetch in.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
