About: I love animals! I was raised around animals all of my life. My parents had a hobby farm, complete with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, emu's, sheep, ducks, pigs, etc. We bred and raised dogs of all kinds: huskies, dalmatians, chihuahuas, beagles, labs, golden retrievers, pugs, and so on. Since my childhood, I've helped feed, care for, and even administer medicine to our animals. I moved to Lexington KY in the Fall of 2010 and decided to take care of others' furry friends while they're away. I started and ran my own dog walking and pet sitting business for 7 years. I ended up closing down to do some traveling. But I sure miss getting out and spending time with my furry friends. Whether you're at work, on vacation, or just out for the day, it will be my Joy to take care of your pets. From midday walks and home visits, to puppy breaks and house sittings, I'll treat your pet as my own, and make sure they get plenty of lovin'. “Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.” That’s what I try to live by. And I’ll bring that ethos with me everyday to Caring for your seeet fur baby or babies.

About: I have always been a HUGE dog lover. I was raised with dogs and there has never been a time where my family has not had a dog. I have taken care of puppies, teens, middle-aged, and senior dogs. I have taken care of dogs with special needs and medical issues like diabetes. I started riding horses when I was 7 years old so there is no dog too big or too small! I take care of each and every dog like they are my own and I absolutely love my job. I cannot wait to meet your pup(s)! I am currently a full time student with a very flexible schedule. Class Tuesdays and Thursday 8am-10:45am. No class Monday, Wednesdays, or Fridays. I go to the gym once a day but that time is fit in work and school schedule! I offer pet care in the client's home. At the moment my roommate and I have 2 dogs one just being a few months old so I don't offer pet care in my apartment until he is older.

“I highly recommend Emerson. She walked my one-year-old Golden Retriever Jackson 3x a day for a week. When she came for her initial visit, I could immediately tell she was an animal lover and would treat Jackson as if he were her own dog. I also instantly saw how comfortable and confident she was walking a larger, energetic puppy – she had complete control. Throughout the week, she was incredibly prompt, professional and reliable. She gave regular, detailed and fun updates throughout the week. I could not recommend her more highly.”

Joy H.
“Joy is one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. Before I knew her it was extremely difficult to go away and leave my pets. At the time I met Joy I had four dogs and four cats. I also had family living far away and was terrified to leave my “babies”. That all changed after Joy and her wonderful team of petsitters came into our lives. They followed every direction, remembered every detail, spent adequate time playing and visiting, and sent the most comforting and thorough email at the end of every visit. The email also included photos of each pet (even my kitty who normally was a hider) and sometimes a video. My dogs have all since passed away and some of Joy’s little videos are still my favorites to watch. After you meet Joy you will never worry about leaving your pets again. They will absolutely be safe and sound in her care and you will be completely free to enjoy your time away knowing they are being loved and cared for.”
