About: I have enjoyed helping my parents and neighbors with animal and house sitting over the years and managed anywhere from 1 - 2 independent pets up to 5 pets at a time (dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, reptiles). I am currently a part-time student looking to extend my animal care experiences to pets in your home. I specialised in animal behavior while studying neuroscience at the Claremont Colleges and will be very attentive to your animals needs in my care. I also have experience administering topical/oral medications as scheduled. I am continuing my education part-time and available to help mostly afternoons. Please contact me 1-2 weeks in advance for HOUSE STAYS otherwise I am flexible to assist with regular potty breaks, walks, feeding, etc. with 1-2 days notice. When caring for animals in clients homes I will be sure to follow any set guidelines or recommendations provided to me. I enjoy meeting animals energy levels with exercise (walks, outdoor play), toys, training reinforcement, or simply good pets. When it’s a good fit, I love incorporating dogs into my daily life — whether that’s a nature walk, a car ride to town, or just relaxing outside. But I never take dogs to dog parks or chaotic spaces. If something feels too stimulating or simply isn’t right for your pet, we skip it — no pressure, no push. And if your pup is the stay-home-and-cuddle type? That works for me too. I always ask about behavior, routines, and preferences ahead of time and spend the first day or two getting a read on what your pet is capable of and comfortable with. My goal is to help every animal feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for in a way that honors who they are. I work from home full time! I have several clients but the type of work allows me to be extremely flexible for your pets! I know while some pets can just hang out while I work, others may need more care, enrichment or a closer eye - I can and will accommodate accordingly. Just let me know what your pet needs ❤️ When sitting at your home I prefer to stick to the spaces your pets are most comfortable in or used to as well as stick to a similar routine. I find this helps with separation anxiety and any confusion the pets may have since their favorite human is gone! If possible, I like to take dogs for a longer walk on the first day to help us bond and help me learn how they behave. For other pets, this may look more like a longer playtime, enrichment activity, etc. I want to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible with me in their space so that first day is important to me!

About: My husband and I love dogs.... when our beloved Yorkie died a few years ago and we retired early from city government, we decided to focus our love on caring for other people's dogs in their homes. We now have several on-going sit relationships in central California and are happy to have so many dogs in our lives that feel like grand babies to us! If you're interested in establishing an on-going relationship with us, to make your dog(s) feel as comfortable as possible when you have to leave town, hit us up! Our preference is to work with 1 or 2 older/more relaxed dogs, that can be left alone for at least 4 hours at a time. We lean towards being home bodies, but we enjoy going on walks/outtings, having play time and lots of snuggles. If we seem like a simpatico match to care for your pup, please reach out for our availability! We have a flexible schedule and can work around your needs/timing with plenty of notice. We enjoy exploring new areas and are happy to have your dogs show us all their favorite spots to hang out! Rather than upend your dog's routine on top of you being out of town, we will come to you! We are willing/able to handle any morning/evening routines (food/water, oral meds, walks, potty needs) and your dog can sleep with us if so inclined.

About: Hi, I'm Kaila! I am an animal loving college student with a lifetime of experience in pet care. I grew up with a vast array of animals who often were left under my watch. I have taken care of cats, little dogs, big dogs, and bunnies. All sizes and ages of pets are welcome! I have experience with puppy/kitten care, senior care, cats, small dogs, and big dogs! I'm well versed in (lovingly) tricking pets into taking their medication, ensuring they get proper exercise/enrichment, and cleaning up after them. At the moment I am free everyday aside from Sundays from 8-3pm. I am very flexible and able to meet you and your pets schedule! While I am not able to board your pets at my house, I can care for them in yours. To ensure your pets safety, comfort, and happiness I will take the time to get an understanding of their routine, personality, and any specific rules you have in place. Each pet is different and I take pride in getting to know all their quirks and needs!

About: I've taken care of friends' and friends of friends pets for over a decade now. Being with animals is where I prefer to be, and as a empathetic person I take my responsibilities of taking care of animals very seriously. I work 8am-6pm Wed - Saturdays and have my evenings off to house sit / feed animals / let animals inside for the night / and offer bathroom breaks. Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays I am available to provide animal care during the day or house sit, if you'd like. Well-behaved animals are ideal, but I can hold my own with silly or energetic toruble-makers. I walk dogs, feed dogs/cats, board them at night if need-be, refill water bowls, and generally hangout and play with them to keep them company while their owners are away. I have a lot of experience with dogs who are especially distraught/depressed when their owners are away. I usually can get them to come around to me or at least eat and feel comfortable.
