About: Growing up lifelong surrounded by dogs of all ages, I learned to listen to animals and understand their needs as well as ensuring they listen to me and have a happy, healthy time in care. I'm working part time and moving into my apartment, so I'll have lots of time to spend meeting dogs' needs and taking them on walks along the natural routes near my place. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. I'm between jobs, so I have plenty of time to take care of your dog or cat. I love all animals and have spent many years volunteering at shelters and fostering dogs in addition to owning my own. I have experience with dogs of every size, age and temperament, and animals with medical conditions. I'm currently available Tuesdays-Thursdays, 9:30am-4:30pm, and have availability on Saturdays and Sundays. I can crate your dog if needed, and keep pets in their enclosures or other safe spaces. I can walk dogs, do potty breaks, refill food and water, practice basic commands (mental stimulation!), play, give lots of pets, clean litter, administer basic medications, etc.

I currently work on boats and do this in the off-season or when things are slow. We started searching local pet hospitals, dog walkers, boarding facilities and the only place that could take her was all the way back in Santa Clara. About: I’ve had dogs in my life for 30 years. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. My own dogs have graduated top of their class in puppy training school. I currently work from home, so I can arrange my schedule to make sure dogs in my care get all the love, affection, and attention they need and deserve. I have a small fenced in yard, good for small and medium dogs. My dog is friendly and even shares some toys. I can crate your dog if preferred. “QI took great care of Arisha. Arisha is a shy dog and it takes time for her to get used to new places. QI noticed how sad Arisha was and made specialized chicken and carrot meals for her that Arisha thoroughly loved. Arisha is also afraid of dogs, but while QI sits multiple dogs at once, she was able to socialize Arisha with all the other dogs to a point where Arisha joined the pack and started hanging out with them more, which is close to a miracle. Thank you QI for the wonderful care, Arisha came back home energetic and happy. I'll be happy to book again next time I have the need.”

I have owned small dogs, large dogs, a cat, aquatic pets, and taken care of many of my friends', family members' pets and been referred to many to care for their dogs and cats. In my last relationship I took full responsibility for three large dogs, one which was a rescue adopted as a puppy, (feeding, administering medications, training, exercise, bathing, grooming, vet visits) for about 5 years. I am currently working part-time and taking a break from school while I prepare to apply to a health profession program. I live in a quiet, small neighborhood with about 0.75 acres of yard space and keep a clean, tidy home with plenty of room for pets to roam and relax.
