I have experience with small and large dogs, hyperactive/nervous dogs, as well as senior dogs so you can be assured that I know how to handle just about any dog personality. I have three dogs of my own that are all very friendly and I have ways to separate dogs from each other if need be so they don’t all have to interact at the same time.

About: Hi! I’m Jenna, a lifelong Bloomingtonian and best friend to every dog I’ve ever met! I am a stay-at-home mom to a preschooler and I also help run a national non-profit rescue for French Bulldogs. I have deeply loved several bulldogs in my lifetime, and as such am very adept to handling brachycephalic breeds and their particular needs. (Though it should be noted I tend to regular-nosed breeds with the same loving care!) As a former medical assistant, I am very comfortable caring for animals with moderate medical needs, those with disabilities, those requiring medication administration, etc. I have cared for hospice dogs, dietary restrictions, Mega-esophagus, Colitis, deafness and total blindness. You could say that special needs are my specialty. I have over 20 years of experience helping folks take care of their fur babies, from Pugs to Cane Corsos and lots in between. Dogs have always been my best friends and luckily, lots of humans pick up on that when they meet me. Most of my experience has been private house sitting and in-home pet care for coworkers for periods of a few hours up to a few weeks. I am brand new to Rover, but not new to taking care of animals. We had so much peace of mind while we were away. She was kind and helpful with Smoosh, who needed to wear a belly band, and was incredibly patient with Camila and her unique personality. Chelsea truly cares about the pets she looks after and took the time to understand their needs. She was reliable, communicative, caring, and easy to work with. As a bonus, her house is fully fenced with a big backyard, giving our fur babies plenty of space to play safely.

The BEST. ♥️ I cannot say enough good things about Katherine and the experience my dog had staying with her. She was exceptionally warm, thoughtful, attentive, compassionate, loving. Beyond being nurturing, Katherine was clearly experienced in caring for dogs. My dog is 14 and Katherine went above and beyond in making sure the environment was comfortable for her. She sent photos throughout my pup's stay, and my pup was relaxed and happy in every photo. I think my dog wanted to live with Katherine after her stay. She was SO HAPPY when I brought her home. She was looking at me like "thank you so much for this vacation, mom" -- seriously. Katherine went far beyond making sure my dog was fed and safe. She was spending quality time with her, playing, and treating her with kindness and lots of affection. Leaving a dog with someone new can be a bit stressful, Katherine immediately made me felt at ease and I knew my dog would be in wonderful hands while I was away. We did a weekend boarding, and my dog got along great with Isis's playful dogs during the first meet and greet! But she may have been overwhelmed during the weekend stay because she had multiple accidents in Isis's house and got into the trash can. Although it's not in the sitter bio that you can expect pics or updates, future clients would benefit from receiving photos or updates throughout the stay. I did get one photo after asking though!
Elena had good communication, a clean environment, and friendly disposition. It was my first time leaving my pets. They’re very small and young so I was nervous. Upon arrival, I felt comfortable to leave them in her care. When I picked them up after they stayed for two nights, they seemed happy and healthy just as I’d left them :)
If it were possible to leave 8 stars, I would do it... Yann and Deqi (and Shadow) were superb. My dog was a COVID puppy, and didn't get the normal socialization as a little one, and she's always been very unsure of other dogs and somewhat tentative about new people. They have changed that: she is now much more eager to meet new friends, both human and canine - she even has a new bark... a happy, greeting yip when she sees new dogs. All that aside, Deqi and Yann were great caregivers and hosts, and sent lots of photos and videos, and my pup is eager to go visit again. I couldn't recommend them any more highly. Manny thanks!
