Information Mariah E. would like to know about your pet

I’d like know how your dog behaves on a leash and how they do with other dogs, as well as any other quirks that might need special attention. FOR TRAINING WALKS: dietary restrictions, bite history; more thorough history will be collected at time of first meeting. Please note that I am not offering formal training as I am not currently credentialed. I am used to waking up at 8:30 or earlier if your dog will need to go out that early for a potty break. I'd prefer not to sit a dog who wakes up earlier than 6:30am.

A typical day

All dogs will get fun walks around Bloomington or on IU’s campus! Energetic pups who do well on leashes can expect exciting adventures to Lake Griffey or Monroe — I’m from Asheville, NC and looove hiking! I am also happy to treat them with visits to community dog parks to play fetch and meet other furry friends, if that is your preference & they have good recall. I always brush out fur and check for ticks after going to wooded areas.

Pet care experience

**I have 4 years experience fostering and training reactive, aggressive, and fearful dogs. I’ve seen many transform into well-adjusted companions under my care** I have years of experience caring for and tending to older dogs and cats with various health issues like hip dysplasia and incontinence, in addition to puppy and kitten care, too. I am patient and kind even with the highest maintenance puppies. I fostered neglected/previously abused dogs with Carolina Adopt-A-Bulls rescue for over 4 years. I am very experienced with mitigating leash reactivity and caring for heartworm-positive pets throughout their treatment, and I look out for dangerous situations before they happen. I am well versed in canine first aid and wound care. I am also a foster volunteer through the Bloomington Animal Shelter. I do not currently have a foster dog. I am attentive, caring, experienced, and kind. I can’t wait to meet your pets.

Mariah is amazing. She has a very calm energy and was very patient with my elderly dog. I would definitely book her again and recommend her for your pet's care!

Mariah was very nice and friendly and you can tell she loves dogs. My dog Carson took to her easily and he seemed to be happy and enjoy his stay with her. Mariah was very attentive to Carson needs and even bathed him, and notified me she found a dead unattached tick on his shoulder. I will definitely use her services again in the future if she is available

We had a great experience with Mariah! She took amazing care of Goose and kept us updated with thoughtful, detailed messages the entire time, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear she really paid attention to his routine, behavior, and little quirks. Goose got plenty of exercise, attention, and care, and we came home to a happy (and tired!) pup. We would absolutely trust her to watch Goose again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Mariah was able to help us out last minute since our previous Rover booking canceled last minute. She kept us updated all weekend and took great care of Archie! I would recommend Mariah and reach out to her again for future pet sitting needs.
