“Andrew updated us every few hours and also listened to our suggestions, which really made me feel comfortable and at ease. Choochoo also seemed to have a great time at his place. We will definitely continue using his service.”

“We are so grateful to have found Nancy for our shy pup! She is amazing! Our dog is very reserved and I had to be careful to find someone who could make him feel comfortable, but from the moment I met Nancy, I knew she was the right fit. She took the time to get to know Koba’s specific needs (which is not much) and went at her pace, giving him space while still providing plenty of attention and care. Throughout the time she sat for us, Nancy was professional, kind, and kept us updated with sweet photos and messages. Our dog warmed up to her quickly, and I could tell he was in a safe and loving environment. We’ll definitely be using her services again and highly recommend her to anyone with a shy or anxious dog!””

“It was our first time using Rover to find a dog sitter. We are fortunate to have Lauren and her sister. When we revisit Atlanta, we'll be in touch with Lauren again! Thank you so much.”

About: I have owned and taken care of cats and dogs as long as I can remember. Somehow, I became my family and friends' friendly go-to dog and cat sitter. I've taken care of labs, German shepherds, collie's, golden retrievers and more along with cats. When I had a German shepherd, I learned how to train informally through practice with my trainer and reading articles. I would love to be your reliable go-to sitter and care for your sweet family pets. I am currently full time at home with my child looking to make extra income, show her my love for taking care of animals and teach her some responsibility as well. I am available every day except for Sunday. I have a fenced in backyard and a safe neighborhood to walk around. I have a crate to transport a cat if needed but not a dog. Or I can come to your home too.
“Gunjan & Saurabh were incredible dog sitters!!! Last-minute we needed to find a sitter in the area and they had an opening- we did a meet & greet with our pup Brio, met their sweet dog Shadow, and played with the dogs together in their large backyard. They really know their stuff and Brio came back a happy and sleepy doggo! Would book again :)”

About: I’ve never had a time in my life where I didn’t have a pet. I’ve lived with up to four dogs of all different breeds and ages, and I’ve owned two cats in my life. I’ve also fostered two dogs and one cat! I’ve done some minor training with my own pets, like simple “sit,” “shake,” and “stay” commands. I even got my cat to do a couple tricks! I started petsitting for family members and neighbors a few years ago, and I look forward to making new furry friends! I’m a PhD student working on my dissertation, so I’m always looking for things to add to my day that give me a break from writing! I usually write while I keep an eye on my own pets, and use playtime and walks as an excuse to take a break from my work. For daycare, I have a fenced in yard with spacious room for play and exploration. I also have plenty of space indoors to relax and nap, and the option to kennel if that’s desired. My house is also home to one cat and two dogs, with enough room to keep everyone separate or to socialize as desired. For drop-in visits, I’m timely with feedings and potty needs, and I’m well in tune with an animal’s changing needs. I love playing with pets to give them some enrichment time, or to just chill if they’re feeling more like a low-key hangout. I’m a respectful houseguest and I always try to leave a place better than how I found it.
About: We provide loving, low-volume care in a calm home environment, each dog gets personal attention, patience, and a routine that fits their needs. We have years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including shy, sensitive, and senior pets. We are good at reading stress signals, keeping feeding and walking routines consistent, and helping pets feel safe and comfortable. Our home has plenty of space, about 4,600 sq ft, and a large backyard for supervised play. For extra safety, each boarding dog wears a GPS tracker during their stay. Your pet will not be “one of many.” They will be cared for like family. Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine because my partner and I both work from home. At least one of us is usually home during the day, so pets can enjoy regular potty breaks, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. We keep our bookings limited to provide a calm, low-stress environment with plenty of attention. This is especially helpful for pets who do best with routine, supervision, and a comfortable home setting. Safety, comfort, and trust are our top priorities. Each boarding pet wears a GPS tracker for extra peace of mind, and all outdoor time is supervised. Our care style is patient, gentle, and low-stress, which is especially helpful for shy pets, seniors, or dogs who do best with routine. We follow your instructions carefully for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medication, playtime, and sleep routines.

“Ericka made my first Rover experience so wonderful. I don’t know why I didn’t use it way earlier. She sent me pictures and updates throughout the day of my dog to ease my anxious crazy dog mom self. I’m really afraid that my dog will love her more than me and he won’t want to come home. Thank you Ericka for being so great and being a home away from home for my dog.”

“We had such a lovely experience! Amazing care and very attentive. We received constant picture updates and I ran a little late for pickup but Mihye was very kind and gracious. Oatmeal had an amazing time! Plus, there were two beautiful cats and they are sooo sweet and gentle :)”

As always, Choochoo had a great stay! She seemed happy and comfortable, and I was glad to hear she started drinking more water and eating treats. Thank you for the updates and for taking such wonderful care of her. We highly recommend and will definitely book again!

Gunjan and Surabh were kind enough to accept a last minute request for the day care. They have a huge yard- which is a very pet friendly, for the furkids to explore or exhaust themself. They spent ample time during the initial assessment to understand our pups quirks and requirements. She is very playful and keeps us on toes and they were quick to understand and care for her as we would. We felt comfortable leaving our pet with them and will continue to access their services.

Donghao took great care of our dog on Christmas Eve. He offered to do a meet and greet before the scheduled date and was flexible with our drop off and pick up time. We appreciated his detailed update and flexibility. Our dog got plenty of play time and a long walk!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Berkeley Lake commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
