“Andrew was a pleasure to meet. He communicated well, sent frequent updates and photos, followed all care instructions, and Luna clearly enjoyed her time with him.”

About: I have owned and taken care of cats and dogs as long as I can remember. Somehow, I became my family and friends' friendly go-to dog and cat sitter. I've taken care of labs, German shepherds, collie's, golden retrievers and more along with cats. When I had a German shepherd, I learned how to train informally through practice with my trainer and reading articles. I would love to be your reliable go-to sitter and care for your sweet family pets. I am currently full time at home with my child looking to make extra income, show her my love for taking care of animals and teach her some responsibility as well. I am available every day except for Sunday. I have a fenced in backyard and a safe neighborhood to walk around. I have a crate to transport a cat if needed but not a dog. Or I can come to your home too.
“Nancy is truly amazing—I wish I could give her a million stars! From the moment I dropped Brooklyn off, I felt completely at ease. She took such great care of him and made sure his day was full of fun, play, and attention. What really meant the most to me was how thoughtful Nancy was throughout the day—she sent pictures and videos of Brooklyn running around, happy and carefree. It genuinely warmed my heart and allowed me to relax, knowing he was in such good hands. Brooklyn came home happy, tired, and clearly well cared for. That says everything. Nancy is the absolute best, and I will definitely be trusting her again in the future.”

“I recently hired a Michaela to care for our family dog while we're away for the day. Her warm demeanor and caring attitude towards my pet made me feel at ease while I was away. I would use her services again in the future. My dog seemed happy and well-cared for during the time she spent with him. Overall, a great experience with a friendly and reliable dog sitter.”

“Lauren was great (and so was her dog Onion)! She sent me frequent updates and plenty of pictures. Bruiser loved his first day of daycare there & was super tired when he got home. He can't wait to go back!”
“Gunjan & Saurabh were incredible dog sitters!!! Last-minute we needed to find a sitter in the area and they had an opening- we did a meet & greet with our pup Brio, met their sweet dog Shadow, and played with the dogs together in their large backyard. They really know their stuff and Brio came back a happy and sleepy doggo! Would book again :)”

“My girls had a great time and enjoyed playing with other dogs. They came home happy and tired. I love that there is a nice indoor play area, especially on a rainy day. Thanks!”

“Erika has been wonderful. I am taking my dog to her weekly. Erika is very detailed. I know how many times a day he uses the bathroom and if he ate. And it gives me such a peace of mind. She is great as sending pictures throughout the day. And is very communicative about the care she provides. I highly would recommend Erika services. She would not only care for your pet. But also nurture it. I’m grateful for her weekly support with Max.”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the extra love, attention, and care I give every pet. I send lots of photo updates, keep owners informed, and treat every animal like part of my own family. I love spoiling pets with affection, playtime, yummy treats, new toys, and even a little wardrobe moment if they enjoy wearing clothes! Every pet is different, so I always follow their normal routine, personality, comfort level, and care instructions. I offer boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking, and care for pets of all breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. I welcome playful puppies, calm senior pets, special-needs animals, and pets with anxiety or medical conditions. I am comfortable giving medications and providing extra patience, supervision, and reassurance when needed. My experience with animals started when I got my first dog at eight years old. I began helping my mom with Rover when I was sixteen and later volunteered at an animal shelter, where I helped with feeding, walking, cleaning, enrichment, and comforting nervous or special-needs dogs. My home and services are LGBTQ+ friendly, welcoming, and judgment-free. All families, identities, and pets are treated with kindness and respect. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort will always be my priority. Whether your pet wants nonstop playtime, quiet cuddles, extra reassurance, or space to relax, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, spoiled, and cared for while you are away. Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. Since I’m home most of the day, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I plan my schedule around the pets in my care and am happy to follow any routine they are used to. Whether your pet needs meals at specific times, medication, frequent bathroom breaks, late-night potty trips, extra exercise, enrichment activities, quiet time, or lots of cuddles, I can adjust my day to meet their needs. I understand that every pet has a different routine, personality, and comfort level. Caring for animals is not something I simply fit into my schedule. It is a major part of my daily life, and I make sure every pet receives the time, patience, and attention they deserve. I share my home with two sweet and playful dogs, Luna and Shawdo. They are well-trained, gentle, and friendly with other pets. If your pet enjoys having doggy friends, they will have two built-in playmates! Introductions are always supervised so everyone can become comfortable at their own pace. If your pet prefers personal space or needs a calmer environment, I can use pet gates, crates, or separate rooms to keep the dogs safely separated. Crates are only used when requested or when they are already part of your pet’s normal routine. Outdoor time is always supervised, and I have a camera that I can access at any time to help me monitor the pets in my care. Pets are allowed on the furniture and treated like family in my home. I provide fresh water at all times, cozy places to rest, toys, daily walks, supervised playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I carefully follow each pet’s usual feeding, medication, potty, and sleep schedule so they can feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect the home, rules, and routines provided. I make sure meals, water, walks, bathroom breaks, medication, playtime, and special-care instructions are followed closely. In an emergency or if I notice anything unusual, I will contact the owner immediately and follow their instructions and emergency plan. I am comfortable administering medication and providing additional care for pets with medical needs, anxiety, or other special requirements.
“Such a fantastic experience for my pup! I was sent multiple photos throughout the day and kept up-to-date on her progress. Michael and his wife were very accommodating and understanding of my dogs needs, they made me feel at ease with no worries whatsoever! I will definitely be using them regularly ❤️”

About: I’ve never had a time in my life where I didn’t have a pet. I’ve lived with up to four dogs of all different breeds and ages, and I’ve owned two cats in my life. I’ve also fostered two dogs and one cat! I’ve done some minor training with my own pets, like simple “sit,” “shake,” and “stay” commands. I even got my cat to do a couple tricks! I started petsitting for family members and neighbors a few years ago, and I look forward to making new furry friends! I’m a PhD student working on my dissertation, so I’m always looking for things to add to my day that give me a break from writing! I usually write while I keep an eye on my own pets, and use playtime and walks as an excuse to take a break from my work. For daycare, I have a fenced in yard with spacious room for play and exploration. I also have plenty of space indoors to relax and nap, and the option to kennel if that’s desired. My house is also home to one cat and two dogs, with enough room to keep everyone separate or to socialize as desired. For drop-in visits, I’m timely with feedings and potty needs, and I’m well in tune with an animal’s changing needs. I love playing with pets to give them some enrichment time, or to just chill if they’re feeling more like a low-key hangout. I’m a respectful houseguest and I always try to leave a place better than how I found it.

“Rachel is an absolute gem and a clear animal lover. We moved from California recently and was very worried I may never find a sitter for my two boys like the one we used to have, but Rachel is exactly the kind of person we were looking for. My boys clearly had so much fun with her other two dachshunds and they all adore her. Rachel’s place is also very beautiful and clean. Definitely 5 stars +++ and I’ve already booked her again for an upcoming trip. Thank you so much Rachel!”

“Louie had such a great time spending the day at Herschel's! Amanda is absolutely wonderful! She's a lifesaver- we had to book with her last minute and she was gracious enough to take Louie for the day on short notice and he proceeded to have the best day ever! She sent pics and updates throughout the day and I could Louie was having a blast! He came home from spending the day with her and passed out on his bed from a satisfying day of play! I highly recommend Amanda! Your dog will be in great hands!”

レビュー向けなら、自然で簡潔に次のように書けます。 We booked a daycare trial with Andrew before an upcoming multi-day boarding stay. It sounds like my dog had a great time watching the World Cup with him. We received lots of photos showing my dog looking relaxed and comfortable, which gave us peace of mind!

Gunjan and Surabh were kind enough to accept a last minute request for the day care. They have a huge yard- which is a very pet friendly, for the furkids to explore or exhaust themself. They spent ample time during the initial assessment to understand our pups quirks and requirements. She is very playful and keeps us on toes and they were quick to understand and care for her as we would. We felt comfortable leaving our pet with them and will continue to access their services.

Donghao took great care of our dog on Christmas Eve. He offered to do a meet and greet before the scheduled date and was flexible with our drop off and pick up time. We appreciated his detailed update and flexibility. Our dog got plenty of play time and a long walk!

My booking was last minute so it was a bit hard finding someone available. But I’m glad Jalena was able to take care of Mitsuri for me. I’m so happy she had so much fun with her doggies. It’s like it was meant to be haha. Will definitely book with her next time! Thank you!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Berkeley Lake commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
