About: I have worked with all types of animals since I was a child. My friends would call me the dog whisperer because I just understand them naturally! I love training dogs and horses. I currently have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a flock of ducks! All of my dogs have been raised from puppies. I have cared for senior pets as well. I have spent hundreds of hours over the last several years educating myself on animal behavior for my own pets benefits so I am well equipped to love and care for yours as well! I have always been passionate about working with animals of all type. I will always go the extra mile to provide topnotch care and service. My husband and I travel often so I know how important it can be to find petcare that you can feel good about! I currently work from home full time with a very flexible schedule. I am able to come to your house during the day or stay nights! I can offer limited boarding as well. I love animals and I love travel. I would be committed to caring for your pets as if they were my own. I enjoy getting to know your pets as each one is so special. I am reliable and can accommodate just about any extra requests such as bathing, working on training skills, hiving medication, providing adequate excercise etc. I will ALWAYS do this with your pets safety and happiness as my top priority.
“Very punctual, communication and timing were excellent and above all else my pup absolutely Loved Gavin! Highly recommend using Gavin for walks/out of town trips requiring a sitter!”

“Marshall was absolutely fantastic with my reactive dog, Hayley! It’s clear he truly cares about animals and takes the responsibility seriously. He was proactive with communication, sending daily photos and updates that gave me total peace of mind while I was away. Not only was Hayley happy and relaxed when we returned, but Marshall also left my place just as clean as I had left it! I will definitely be booking him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, communicative, and tidy sitter!”

“Abby was wonderful! We will definitely be using her as a house sitter again. She kept our fur babies happy while we were gone. She’s an excellent communicator and shared updates, pictures and videos with us regularly and reached out when she had questions. When we returned home everything was clean and in order which is always a huge plus when returning from a vacation.”
About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs for years! I have three chihuahuas and a german shepard hound dog mix! What sets me apart is my dedication to anything I do. I can promise a safe and caring environment for your best friends! As well as someone who truly cares about giving people the best service possible. I am in school and work part time! However even if my availability doesn’t align with your needs, I might still be available! Due to Rover settings I cannot put in hourly settings, but I am available certain times that I cannot put in the app. I am currently looking for a part time job while I am enrolled in school, and want to do something I love as well ! I have a fenced in backyard, as well as a doggy door so they can have access 24/7! Additionally I have a large neighborhood to take any fur baby’s on walks.
About: I have a 5 year old husky and pitbull mixed dog named xena as well as a 9 year Old cat named Lilly! I was raised around animals (dogs and cats) we would take litters and rehabilitate them until they were ready to go to their forever homes and we would also rescue cats and dogs and rehabilitate them as well! I am looking to be a full time pet care provider! I only have to take care of my dog as well! I look forward to giving you all the assistance and helping as much as I can! I will ask what your preferences are like times they need to go out or feeding times and keep them plenty of company on my visits and make sure they are greatly taken care of.
“Allen was great! I needed a last minute sitter and Allen was the perfect choice. Great communication and put up with my silly dogs with no complaints. Left my house in great condition. I look forward to having him stay with my beasties again. Thank you so much! 💜”
“Haley did a great job taking care of our dogs for a week while we were out of town. She took them on several walks despite the Columbia heat in July. I could tell they were well loved from the pictures she sent while we were away. She also was very helpful with a water issue we had at the house while we were gone. Definitely would use her in the future!”

About: I have had a lot of experience taking care of dogs since I started my own "business" when I was 7, walking and pet-sitting for people around my neighborhood. I had 3 dogs and 3 cats growing up. Recently I'm most often just filling in for family friends on stays away. I have taken care of a handful of senior dogs and have a good understanding of their behaviors. I like to be outside and moving, so I happily will take your dog(s) out or on frequent or long walks. I will be available 7 days of the week, minus miscellaneous appointments and such. I am more than comfortable with overnight stays, walks, and drop ins, and multiple day sitting. My roommate is allergic to dander so I will be unable to bring pets into my home. I take notes very seriously for pets that need that extra care/the specifics. I will happily be able to walk, feed, play, let out and crate dogs as needed.
“Kate taking care of our cat allowed us to actually enjoy our nearly weeklong trip. Our cat has some difficult health issues, a finicky diet, and loves attention. We were so grateful for Kate’s updates, where it was so clear our cat was happy, healthy, and very well-taken care of. We’ve had several pet sitters over the years, and Kate was the best by far!”

“Emily is fantastic! She was so wonderful with my two rambunctious pups and provided regular updates. Left my house in great condition. Would absolutely recommend her to for anyone looking for a pet sitter :)”

“Yet again we used Milena to watch our dog in our home and she was amazing. He is very anxious and territorial and she is so patient and understanding with him. She’s like the only person he lets into our house. I so appreciate Milena and love that we can use her to watch Bodie and trust everything will go smoothly!!”

“Cailin was the perfect sitter for our puppy, Wrinkles. She sent numerous photo updates throughout the day & was a great communicator. She treated Wrinkles as though she was her own. We will continue to use Cailin & would recommend her to any other pet parent!”

“Phoebe was absolutely wonderful with Maverick! She gave him so much care and attention, and it was clear he was comfortable and happy the whole time.. even during the storm where he gets super anxious lol. She kept me updated, was reliable, and went above and beyond to make sure he was well taken care of when I was away. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, I'd highly recommend her!”

About: I have taken care of animals for the majority of my life whether that be nursing stray kittens back to health, assembling special meals for my dogs specific health requirements, or pet and house sitting for friends and family members so they could take a well needed vacation. I have always held a deep love for animals and a career where I can be around them all day sounds more like a dream than a job. While not a certified dog trainer I do have experience with training puppies for small tricks such as sit, place, stay, down, etc. and would be happy to teach your fur baby as I take care of them. As a full time student I have a very open schedule with asynchronous classes that allow me to be there when your fur baby requires. I make sure to keep my pets on a regular schedule with grooming, food, vet visits and play sessions so they may have the best experiences as they grow and develope.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bells Crossroads walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bells Crossroads maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bells Crossroads choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
