About: I have had at least one dog all of my life. Often times more than one. Currently living with just one Lab who would love a visitor/playmate. I foster emergency overnights on rescue transports. I have been a caregiver for dogs of all ages and kinds; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have grandcats I house sit for and have also taken care of chickens. I work from home with tons of flexibility. I have one adult child at home in graduate school, they have a health condition which keeps them home most days too, so your pet is never short of human companionship. I live in a great neighborhood for walks on a leash. I provide dog sitting in a one story home with a large, wooded fenced yard in central Richmond neighborhood. Great for dogs of all ages and abilities. I live with one Lab that's a large couch potato. He also likes his human to sit outside with him rather than be out there all by himself. So we spend lots of time outside together. Pets are permitted on furniture and the bed, whatever makes them feel at home. I do have a large dog crate that can be set up if needed, but only if requested as it will put your pet at ease. The most important factor is making sure your pet feels comfortable, keeping their routines and habits to lessen the stress of a new place.

About: I have lived on a farm my whole life. At age 12 I started managing our family farm, which ment taking care of all of our animals, from the horses to the rabbits. There are two rules I keep for myself: 1) every animal has a purpose and a name. They are not just a number (which is important to remember on a farm) 2) They are fed and cared for before anything else. It doesn't matter what's going on they are my first thought when I wake up. I take care of them before I eat. I am currently a college student and working part time for the school. My times and avalibility will change when I resume school in September. Because I live on a farm, I am blessed that my cats can safely be indoor - outdoor cats. I do have a house cat, and I have two outdoor cats. For dogs, I am used to taking dogs on walks, and letting them into secure, fensed in yards.

I grew up with a Labrador/Mastiff mix and now have an older Beagle, two Golden Retrievers, and two cats. So I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities! I’m currently a junior biology student at RMC and plan to pursue veterinary medicine. I’ve also worked as a kennel technician at a boarding facility for 3 years, where I cared for a variety of dogs and cats and learned how to recognize changes in behavior and health, prevent stressful situations, and safely handle different personalities. I’m trained in giving pill and oral medications as well as applying topical medications such as ointments, oils, and sprays. I understand how important it is for medications to be given correctly and on time, especially for pets who rely on medications for conditions like heart or seizure issues. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, stimulation, and lots of care based on their individual needs. I’m currently a college student at RMC, so my weekday availability depends on my class schedule. My classes are Mondays from 9:10 AM–4:30 PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00–9:30 AM, 1:20–2:50 PM, and 4:00–5:00 PM, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:10 AM–12:20 PM. I’m best available for house sitting on weekends. During the weekdays, I’m available for cat clients and dogs who don’t need consistent potty breaks throughout the day. I can stay at your home once I’m finished with classes for the day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I can also stop by for a 1–2 hour period after 9:30 AM. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. With 3 years of experience as a kennel technician, I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. I follow your instructions closely and make sure pets receive their meals, medications, exercise, and attention as requested. For house sitting, I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would my own and keep you updated while you’re away. I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while they’re in my care.

As a child I had a myriad of pets (hamsters, dogs, and cats) throughout my lifetime, and for the past 10 years I was the proud owner of 2 of the world's chillest cats. They passed last year. I am a disabled Veteran who is most likely the guy at the party that will hang out with your pet instead of drinking. I’m currently pet sitting while I am transitioning jobs. I usually do remote work so I will still have time to care and attend to any pets in my care. Yes I have a dog on the premises he is big but he is a teddy bear. Other pets must be comfortable with this as well.

About: I have had dogs ever since I was little but didn't start being able truly experience the responsibility of taking care of dogs until about 12. Caring for my dogs has served as a great example throughout my life of showing me patience, unconditional love, and loyalty. Over the years I have had 6 dogs with 3 being the ones that I was old enough to care for. All of them with their individual, outgoing personalities have been a joy in my life. A stand out experience I've had with my dogs, has to be currently with caring for my elderly and sickly dog, Yoshi. He is a 10-year-old Husky-Akita who has an autoimmune disease called Pemphigus Vulgaris which severely affects his skin. Out of my family of 4, I have been his primary caretaker; administering his medicine when he was on it, researching different remedies to help him, bathing him to soothe his irritated & itchy skin, making him a natural ointment to treat his wounds, and changing his diet off of dry dog food to a medley of Freshpet dog food and steamed vegetables. Although the process is trying, I see him as God's animal and I feel I've been given the responsibility to care and love him unconditionally as animals were made to do the same for us. I am a freelance graphic designer who works from home so I have open availability to provide animal care. Mostly available Sun-Fri, Limited availability on Saturdays I have a small yard but live in a housing development that is dog friendly with lots of sidewalks and trails that provide dog waste trashcans. Besides walking, I provide feeding, brushing, bathing, administering ointment or medication, and lots of love and attention.

About: I have been blessed to grow up with a variety of animals in and around my home. I’ve had a variety of dogs that have ranged from 12lbs to 200lbs. I’ve also had cats in the home, as well. I have taken care of the basics of feeding them, giving clean water (daily), maintaining the litter box (as needed) and even giving insulin injections (to both felines and dogs). I’ve trained many of my larger breed dogs and my service dog. Bathing, feeding, walking and not just for my pets, but also friends & family. Since my sweet Bella (pictured) passed I actually have a 20lb Boston Terrier, named Lucy, now. I also live on a farm where we have 3 miniature horses and one thoroughbred big boy. I’m very flexible in my schedule and if I was needed to stay for extended periods of time, my animals would be taken care of. I’ve been on medical disability for 4 1/2yrs now. Other than my appointments I have throughout the week, my only other commitment is the upkeep of my home and taking care of my animals. I would not be bringing clients pets to my home, as it’s a spacious and fenced in yard; however, we have one dog who doesn’t play well with others. In a client’s home, unless asked by the owner, the only thing I would remove from the home (temporarily), would be the pet. I’m very cautious with another’s fur baby; so, I would treat it as my own with love, snuggles and a gentle touch. I’m always aware of my surroundings, especially with something so precious, to another. I’ve always been described as very trustworthy and compassionate, with people, as well as, with their animals. Pampering and maintaining a secure environment for your animal(s), no matter the type or the amount you may have. This way, you know that one of your family members is in the best hands possible while you take a vacation for your own self-care.
