About: I’m a U of A student currently on summer break! I’m still available during the school year but a little less flexible. I’m also deaf but that doesn’t affect my ability to provide excellent care for your pets. I’ve grown up surrounded by animals, so caring for them feels like second nature to me. I have hands on experience with everything from high-energy dogs that need strong leadership to quiet cats that just want their own space. What really sets me apart is my technical background. I completed a year-long Vet Tech program in high school, which taught me how to properly handle animals and monitor their health. Because I have a senior cat and have had older dogs in the past, I am an expert at administering medications and supplements. I know how to be gentle but firm to make sure they get what they need without being stressed out. I’m not just there to watch your pets, I’m there to make sure they are happy and safe. Whether it’s going for a long hike with an energetic dog or making sure a senior cat’s litter box is spotless and their routine is followed exactly, I treat every pet like they are my own. I'm observant, patient, and very comfortable with all breeds and sizes! I have a flexible schedule. I’m almost always home so I will have time plenty of time to be with your fur babies. . . Anything you need me to do for your fur babies. I can stay overnight if needed. I can also stay all day to keep your fur babies company.
“Maggie went above and beyond! My kitty Pudgy clearly loved spending time with her, and Maggie spent the time to get to understand her and how to trick her into taking her pills (hero!). I came home to a clean house and a happy kitty.”
“Victoria was wonderful with my little grumble of pugs. She’s incredibly professional, patient, and genuinely sweet with my pups. Her communication was clear and consistent. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Rachel did a wonderful job as always watching our senior dog. She’s great with communication, updates, and sends lots of photos on each visit. We really appreciate all the attention and care she provides while we are away.”

“As always, Marie takes very good care of our Lucy - I don't have to wonder or worry while we're away and am very thankful for the daily photos. Thanks Marie! Lucy will see you again soon!”

“Josephine was an excellent sitter and went above and beyond for our dog Hazel. Her updates were detailed and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. I would feel very comfortable rebooking her in the future, and appreciated the level of care she had. Thanks again, Josephine!”

“Liz is always amazing! My cats take to her so well and they can be pretty judgy. The updates and pictures she leaves always make me smile. I have relied on Liz a few times now and she’s my first call whenever I have to leave town!”

About: I’ve been a dog whisperer since I was a child. I have had dogs (one or two at a time) my whole life. We lost our last dog last year and don’t want the long term commitment of a new dog at this stage in our lives, but would love to take care of other people’s dogs. It is just myself and my husband in our household. I work from home part-time and if there are days that I would be showing property (realtor) I would not schedule a Rover sitting job. Also, I babysit a small child every Wednesday and Thursday. I have a fully fenced yard and no other dogs. I have no problem having dogs stay inside my home. I am happy to go to the client’s home as well.
About: My parents told me my first word was dog. I have loved dogs from the moment I entered this world. I got my first dog when I was 8 and it was fully my responsibility to care for him. He was my baby and I wanted him to be apart of everything I did. Now I have my own kiddos who love dogs more than anything. They are eager to have pups around and they love helping out with them. I stay at home so your pet will have 24 hour care. I have a HUGE yard where your pup can play and great paths for walking. I also live right around the corner from a huge dog park if you want your pup to socialize I would be happy to take them there as well! I have a fenced in yard that has shade all hours of the day. My home is dog friendly and I will be happy to Crate your pup if I step away so that your dog will be safe at all times.
“She did a great job with my dog Cannoli! She was very communicative and provided consistent updates. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sitter and will be using her services again!”

“Allison took wonderful care of my dog and cat babies while I was away for Thanksgiving. She made sure they were happy and healthy and included dog walks in her price. Even when I got sick at the end of my vacation, she went above and beyond to come and care for them for 3 extra days. She’s very sweet, polite and is worth more than she charges. I would highly recommend Allison if you want peace of mind in knowing your babies will be loved while you’re away.”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of animals, as well as had plenty of my own— I work remotely and have pretty much infinite time to spend with your furry (scaly, feathery) friends! I’ve lived in friends’ houses for over two weeks to look after their animals; I’m generally pretty quiet and allow the pets come to me, but I’m happy to do tricks with them or take them out for runs and adventures when requested! I love taking lots of pictures of your pets to send you, and keeping you up to date on their health and adventures! Have also provided care for senior animals multiple times, and dealt with health crises while the owner was absent. Happy to do dogs or cats, but can also handle rodents, reptiles, etc. Have previously had: rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles/tortoises, dogs, cats, and fish. As long as you are willing to demonstrate the care of the animal, I am willing to take on pretty much anything, though! I love hanging out with animals while I’m working— they’re such good office-mates! Of course I have to leave occasionally during overnight stays, but your pets are my priority, always! Whatever attention they need, I will give them, and I will always keep my eyes and ears open for any mischief happening! I like to go through your routine with you and then try to keep everything as close to normal for your pets as possible! They’ll already be missing you— they don’t need any more stress! Food and water bowls refilled on time, walks given regularly, and as many pets, kisses, and photoshoots as required!

About: My name is Jenna. I’ve taken care of all different kind of animals since I can remember from dogs and cat to birds and hedgehogs whether they’ve been mine or friends and families pets. I have experience with dogs who have special needs and have to take medication daily as that’s what I have to do with my own dogs. I am very reliable and will love your fur baby like they are my own! I send updates and pictures so you’ll be able to see your baby while you’re away! I do work full time but when I am with your furry friend they’ll have all of my attention whether that be by playing, going for walks or just hanging out! The way I will care for your pet is very respectful and positive. I will respect you and your pets boundaries. If there is any specific rule or requirement such as medication, feeding routine and potty breaks those will be followed.
About: I grew up caring for animals in my home as a kid. I had a rabbit for 8 years and have always had dogs in my home growing up (Lab/terrier, GoldenDoodle, Cockapoo). I am experienced with animals that require daily medication intake as my family dog has valley fever and back pain. I have house sat overnight (multiple nights) for multiple dogs and a cat who also require daily medication. I have experience sitting/caring for elderly dogs and cats. I have also made daily visits stopping by friend's houses to play with/walk their pets while they are at work. I currently own a goofy, sassy Corgi puppy with lots of energy. I provide him with walks twice a day. I can provide high energy dogs with lots of play time and walks. I have plenty of time throughout the day to give attention to and play with your pups or cats. I am currently not working and waiting to start school in the fall. I am very attentive and mindful of behaviors. I will keep a close eye on your pets and ensure they are well cared for and their needs are met.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Bear Canyon is $20
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bear Canyon
Julia is the best! I was so worried to use rover initially because I am very protective of my kitties, but now I can enjoy being away without hesitation. She is very attentive and even our most shy cat has warmed up to her. Would highly recommend Julia to anyone!

Thank you Andrea for your attention to detail, great communication, timely check-ins with our pups and taking such good care of them while we were away. We enjoyed the many pictures and updates after each visit and the peace of mind they brought us! If you're available for our next family excursion we would love to book you again!

Josephine was an excellent sitter and went above and beyond for our dog Hazel. Her updates were detailed and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. I would feel very comfortable rebooking her in the future, and appreciated the level of care she had. Thanks again, Josephine!

Lia and Alexzander were so great with our cat Grace. She normally does not like most people but I have lots of photos of them petting her and brushing her, so she obviously became very comfortable with them. They were awesome to do the things we needed done and faithfully communicated and sent us photos. I would very highly recommend them!
