“Barbara took great care of our kitty, Lucy. Lucy really enjoyed her time with her, sitting on her lap and playing with her flying toy feather snake. That meant the world to us, knowing our fur baby was in great hands during our time away. Barbara sent pics which brought smiles to us from afar.”

“Allison did a great job checking on our two cats! She sent us photos and videos every day and my cats seemed very happy with her. She’s very responsive too and very friendly! I highly recommend her if anyone needs someone to check on their cats/dogs :)”

“Alora did a great job checking in on our dog while we were out of town. She made sure her food and water were filled every day and spent time socializing with her. Will definitely book with her again in the future.”

“Liz took greatest care of Sweetpea. SweetPea is a very shy and scared kitty, takes awhile for him to get use to someone, but he warmed up to Liz fairly quickly for him. Liz was always on time and send a lot of pictures and great overviews of what happened during the visit. I hope to keep using Liz in the future for Sweetpea.”

“My 3 boys absolutely love this family and consider them their best friends. They are so excited to see them. We know they are in excellent hands and can leave worry free. 5 stars!!”

“What an absolute dream. Sydney took excellent care of my girls, and handled my asthmatic cat’s inhaler with ease. I will absolutely ask her to babysit again in the future.”

“Leah is an exceptional sitter. She visited Tucker every single day as promised and always sent a photo, which became the little heartbeat of my trip. Her care, consistency, and kindness let me enjoy my time away knowing my fur baby was safe, happy, and in gentle hands. I felt completely at ease, and that peace of mind is priceless. I recommend Leah without hesitation.”

About: Although we are people who have had pets throughout our lives, we became official Rover sitters beginning in January 2025, and we love what we do. We love dogs. To us, home is where the dog is. Equally important, home is where we are. Most of the time, both of us are home with our doodle, Poppy, and when that isn’t happening one of us is here with her. Your dog won’t be left alone. We have loved, lived with, and raised everything from a 4 lb Chihuahua to a 60 lb Standard Poodle. Now we live with a 24 lb mini Doodle named Poppy. We give Poppy love, training, play, and routine. And treats! We play fetch with her daily, either in our huge yard where she has lots of running room, or in the pool. She loves pool fetch! She is family, and your fur kid will be treated the same way, like a member of our family. We generally board one or two dogs at one time. Three is rare but can happen if they are from one family or dogs we know are compatible. We love keeping dogs for daycare, and carefully consider each situation with pet safety as the priority. Aggressive dogs are not a good fit for us. We don’t accept pit bull terriers. We are retired. Your dog will not be left alone.* This works well with dogs with separation anxiety, but almost all dogs want a human companion close by. They are in a new place looking for reassurance. Your dog’s health and safety, and your peace of mind, are our top priority. Please let us know if you have any special requests, such as medication administration, or special pick up times. We have a flexible schedule to meet most needs and send daily photos and updates. *We did have a schedule issue once in this past year and left Poppy and a daycare guest alone for about half an hour. I did talk with the owner beforehand. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US: A knowledgeable and sensitive assessment of your dog’s needs followed by fast and appropriate responses. Before retirement, Water was an RN for 39 years, and her assessment skills and level of awareness are both excellent. John can tell you how impressed he was when she saved their Chihuahua with a modified Heimlich. He said he didn’t notice the Chi was choking until after Water removed the obstruction! We will notice and care for your dog’s needs. That’s how we care for Poppy and that’s how we will care for your fur baby.. WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU: Please provide food and treats (if you want us to give treats) for your dog to prevent stomach issues and allergies. Also, please include any medications. We do charge extra for medication administration. Please provide documentation of up to date vaccinations. ENVIRONMENT: We have an enormous fenced yard, and our guests are allowed to use the doggie door with outdoor supervision. They can nap on the shady patio, sniff along the fence line, or play with toys. Fetch and tug have been big hits, but there are visitors who seem to prefer exploring. The yard is safe and secure. John recently fenced off the ornamental cactus area of the yard to prevent possible injury. We provide structured outdoor playtime everyday, and furred guests are welcome in the pool with your permission, weather permitting, and canine desire. When we aren’t supervising the pool, the pool gate is locked. Fresh water is always available, both outside on the patio and in the house in the kitchen. Our home is air conditioned. Visitors are allowed on the furniture, unless you direct otherwise. We consider it a gift when a furry friend joins us for a cuddle on the couch. We have discovered that a rock yard can be too rough on paws for long playtimes. Some of our guests prefer their outside time to be spent on the covered patio!
“Fantastic! We are repeat customers and Zack my cat loves Xochitl. I could tell by how happy and contented Zack looked in the visit photos that he remembered Xochitl and that he felt very safe and taken care of. Highly highly recommended.”

“10/10 recommend! Allison was great! She responded almost immediately to my initial request and was extremely easy to work with. Even though we gave her a lot of instructions (we’re first time puppy owners), she followed all of them and treated our pup so well. She was also very flexible. Our pup had an accident so Allison bathed her and adjusted her visit times to avoid another accident which was very helpful and gave us peace of mind. All in all, we will definitely use Allison’s services again in the future.”

About: I've been petsitting for over 12 years and have experience with all kinds of furry friends! In addition to both dogs and cats, I have experience caring for birds, small mammals, and other exotic pets as well as pets with medical or special needs. I would love to get to know and care for your pets! I recently started working full time, so my services are best suited to pets that can spend time alone during the week and need overnight care. On weekends, I am available to stay with your pets full time. I am happy to check in frequently and send pictures, and will be able to both check in on or stay at home with your furry friends.
“Alba was reliable and friendly with my two kitties! She came twice each day to check on them, feed them and change out their litter box. She did great with check-ins and pics! Thanks Alba!!”

“Rachel was a wonderful sitter! She sent pictures every day and followed my instructions while I was away. I felt my little ones were in good hands in her care.”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of animals, as well as had plenty of my own— I work remotely and have pretty much infinite time to spend with your furry (scaly, feathery) friends! I’ve lived in friends’ houses for over two weeks to look after their animals; I’m generally pretty quiet and allow the pets come to me, but I’m happy to do tricks with them or take them out for runs and adventures when requested! I love taking lots of pictures of your pets to send you, and keeping you up to date on their health and adventures! Have also provided care for senior animals multiple times, and dealt with health crises while the owner was absent. Happy to do dogs or cats, but can also handle rodents, reptiles, etc. Have previously had: rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles/tortoises, dogs, cats, and fish. As long as you are willing to demonstrate the care of the animal, I am willing to take on pretty much anything, though! I love hanging out with animals while I’m working— they’re such good office-mates! Of course I have to leave occasionally during overnight stays, but your pets are my priority, always! Whatever attention they need, I will give them, and I will always keep my eyes and ears open for any mischief happening! I like to go through your routine with you and then try to keep everything as close to normal for your pets as possible! They’ll already be missing you— they don’t need any more stress! Food and water bowls refilled on time, walks given regularly, and as many pets, kisses, and photoshoots as required!
About: I’ve lived with large and small dogs and cats my whole life. Even as a teenager I took care of our house cat for years and she lived in my room. My parents own one little one now (the one listed on my profile) who I don’t live with but still consider them to be my own dogs because I love them so much! I am currently working free-lancing gigs remotely while I study for my PMP exam so my schedule is flexible when I am in Ardmore. I do have a very active lifestyle so I love taking dogs on walks and hikes in my free time! I will keep them on a consistent feeding schedule. I’ll take them on multiple walks a day. I’ll can hang with them while I’m working on my online classes or just watching TV!
“Elizabeth is very reliable and conscientious. I’m a repeat client and hope to continue being so. I know my dog is in capable, trusting, and caring hands. Thank you, Elizabeth!”

“Karen goes above and beyond! While checking in on our cat for a week, she also sent pictures to show us how he was doing, brought in packages left at our front door, and took our garbage bins without even being asked. I usually have anxiety with leaving my pets whenever I go on a trip, but I felt worry-free after meeting Karen. I highly recommend her and will definitely be contacting her again next time I go out of town.”

The median cost per visit for pet sitting in South Harrison is $20
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Harrison
I've been lucky to have across my street a troop of six siblings over almost 20 years who at the drop of the hat have been ready to care for my three Dobies when I go out of town. My luck ran out this week and last Tuesday Rover at the drop of the hat and on a wing and a prayer, scanned the reviews of several prospective dog-sitters. Rover referred about 6 people and Allison was the only one who responded with an offer. We met on the day before I was to leave town and agreed that she would provide house visits for 4 days. I received twice daily reports and photos and couldn't be more satisfied with (make that grateful to) Allison and Rover.

I recently got a new pup, Lorelei, for myself and she's been healing up from prior surgery at the shelter. Ray has been phenomenal with caring for her and letting the pup be herself. She's also considerate in including our resident dog, Bristol, who's been really calm and has an assuring presence.

Nia did a great job taking care of our dog, Lulu. Nia was very good at communicating everything she observed and all the things she did while spending time with Lulu. She really paid attention to Lulu’s behavior and mood and her notes really let us know Lulu was in good hands.

Thank you Andrea for your attention to detail, great communication, timely check-ins with our pups and taking such good care of them while we were away. We enjoyed the many pictures and updates after each visit and the peace of mind they brought us! If you're available for our next family excursion we would love to book you again!

Lia and Alexzander were so great with our cat Grace. She normally does not like most people but I have lots of photos of them petting her and brushing her, so she obviously became very comfortable with them. They were awesome to do the things we needed done and faithfully communicated and sent us photos. I would very highly recommend them!

Brianna was amazing! She kept me updated every time she dropped in, sent plenty of pictures, and made sure I knew how everything was going while I was away. I really appreciated how reassuring and communicative she was! I’ll definitely be checking if she’s available first the next time I need a sitter.
