“Alora has been such a great help with out pets. She is so kind, one-time, communicates everything very well. Our Stafford warmed up to her very quickly and he doesn't do that with everything.i feel confident and comfortable with her coming in to take care of olive”

“Allie was very responsive, helpful, and accommodating. She even added a visit to make sure our cat got back in the house after he escaped when we were leaving. Highly recommend!”

About: Although we are people who have had pets throughout our lives, we became official Rover sitters beginning in January 2026, and we love what we do. We love dogs. To us, home is where the dog is. Equally important, home is where we are. Most of the time, both of us are home with our doodle, Poppy, and when that isn’t happening one of us is here with her. Your dog won’t be left alone. We have loved, lived with, and raised everything from a 4 lb Chihuahua to a 60 lb Standard Poodle. Now we live with a 24 lb mini Doodle named Poppy. We give Poppy love, training, play, and routine. And treats! We play fetch with her daily, either in our huge yard where she has lots of running room, or in the pool. She loves pool fetch! She is family, and your fur kid will be treated the same way, like a member of our family. We generally board one or two dogs at one time. Three is rare but can happen if they are from one family or dogs we know are compatible. We love keeping dogs for daycare, and carefully consider each situation with pet safety as the priority. Aggressive dogs are not a good fit for us. We don’t accept pit bull terriers. We are retired. Your dog will not be left alone.* This works well with dogs with separation anxiety, but almost all dogs want a human companion close by. They are in a new place looking for reassurance. Your dog’s health and safety, and your peace of mind, are our top priority. Please let us know if you have any special requests, such as medication administration, or special pick up times. We have a flexible schedule to meet most needs and send daily photos and updates. *We did have a schedule issue once in this past year and left Poppy and a daycare guest alone for about half an hour. I did talk with the owner beforehand. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US: A knowledgeable and sensitive assessment of your dog’s needs followed by fast and appropriate responses. Before retirement, Water was an RN for 39 years, and her assessment skills and level of awareness are both excellent. John can tell you how impressed he was when she saved their Chihuahua with a modified Heimlich. He said he didn’t notice the Chi was choking until after Water removed the obstruction! We will notice and care for your dog’s needs. That’s how we care for Poppy and that’s how we will care for your fur baby.. WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU: Please provide food and treats (if you want us to give treats) for your dog to prevent stomach issues and allergies. Also, please include any medications. We do charge extra for medication administration. Please provide documentation of up to date vaccinations. ENVIRONMENT: We have an enormous fenced yard, and our guests are allowed to use the doggie door with outdoor supervision. They can nap on the shady patio, sniff along the fence line, or play with toys. Fetch and tug have been big hits, but there are visitors who seem to prefer exploring. The yard is safe and secure. John recently fenced off the ornamental cactus area of the yard to prevent possible injury. We provide structured outdoor playtime everyday, and furred guests are welcome in the pool with your permission, weather permitting, and canine desire. When we aren’t supervising the pool, the pool gate is locked. Fresh water is always available, both outside on the patio and in the house in the kitchen. Our home is air conditioned. Visitors are allowed on the furniture, unless you direct otherwise. We consider it a gift when a furry friend joins us for a cuddle on the couch. We have discovered that a rock yard can be too rough on paws for long playtimes. Some of our guests prefer their outside time to be spent on the covered patio!
“Sydney is amazing with our pets and takes care of not only them but our home as well! We are so lucky to have found her! She’s timely, reliable, and kind! The list goes on! Thank you so much Sydney for all you do!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. I currently have a 12 year old male Labrador and a 4 year old female cat. They are both friendly and accepting of visiting dogs. I am retired one year. My days are spent primarily at home, working in my garden and doing household chores. We’re pretty laidback and enjoy staying close to our animals and home. I have a fully fenced backyard with a pool that is fenced off from the main yard. I have a screened back patio that my cat and dog love hanging out on cool mornings and evenings.
“My 3 boys absolutely love this family and consider them their best friends. They are so excited to see them. We know they are in excellent hands and can leave worry free. 5 stars!!”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of animals, as well as had plenty of my own— I work remotely and have pretty much infinite time to spend with your furry (scaly, feathery) friends! I’ve lived in friends’ houses for over two weeks to look after their animals; I’m generally pretty quiet and allow the pets come to me, but I’m happy to do tricks with them or take them out for runs and adventures when requested! I love taking lots of pictures of your pets to send you, and keeping you up to date on their health and adventures! Have also provided care for senior animals multiple times, and dealt with health crises while the owner was absent. Happy to do dogs or cats, but can also handle rodents, reptiles, etc. Have previously had: rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles/tortoises, dogs, cats, and fish. As long as you are willing to demonstrate the care of the animal, I am willing to take on pretty much anything, though! I love hanging out with animals while I’m working— they’re such good office-mates! Of course I have to leave occasionally during overnight stays, but your pets are my priority, always! Whatever attention they need, I will give them, and I will always keep my eyes and ears open for any mischief happening! I like to go through your routine with you and then try to keep everything as close to normal for your pets as possible! They’ll already be missing you— they don’t need any more stress! Food and water bowls refilled on time, walks given regularly, and as many pets, kisses, and photoshoots as required!
“I'm so grateful for Leah! She's taken such great care of my Tucker boy. Most appreciated Leah"s flexibility when travel plans change. I highly recommend her to care for you fur babies.🥰”

“Xochitl has been an amazing, amazing cat caretaker for us many, many times. Zack, my cat, is always so well taken care of when I'm away. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Rover!!!”

“Amazing sitter! Don’t hesitate to book with her! Made leaving for my honeymoon so easy! :) My cats even made some messes and Liz was amazing enough to get everything situated for us! :)”

“Rachel was great! She was able to accommodate a last minute request. My dogs really liked her! First time using Rover and I will be using it again. Highly recommend Rachel!”

About: I’ve lived with large and small dogs and cats my whole life. Even as a teenager I took care of our house cat for years and she lived in my room. My parents own one little one now (the one listed on my profile) who I don’t live with but still consider them to be my own dogs because I love them so much! I am currently working free-lancing gigs remotely while I study for my PMP exam so my schedule is flexible when I am in Ardmore. I do have a very active lifestyle so I love taking dogs on walks and hikes in my free time! I will keep them on a consistent feeding schedule. I’ll take them on multiple walks a day. I’ll can hang with them while I’m working on my online classes or just watching TV!
“Sam was absolutely amazing! She let us know when she was heading over for the visit with our Kitty and provided tons of amazing pictures! Gave us the assurance we always want when we leave for a vacation leaving our baby behind. Let us know our cat was eating her food, drinking water and having fun playing! When we returned home Sam left amazing polaroids that were taking throughout the visit on our counter! Highly recommended and we will 100% use Sam again!”

“I could not be happier with Karen. I actually had her take care of my rabbit rather than my dog and she did a great job. Great communication. Easy pick up and drop off. And just such a nice person.”

“Elizabeth is great. She took care of our cat and fish while we were away for a family thing. She provided pictures and documentation and we greatly appreciate it. We will definitely try to use her services again!”

“Cassidy helped us when we were in a pinch! I was able to book with her last minute and she loved on our sweet pup! So very thankful for her. She communicated with me throughout her visits as well which provided the reassurance that our girl was comfortable and taken care of.”

South Harrison pet parents share their Rover experiences
I've been lucky to have across my street a troop of six siblings over almost 20 years who at the drop of the hat have been ready to care for my three Dobies when I go out of town. My luck ran out this week and last Tuesday Rover at the drop of the hat and on a wing and a prayer, scanned the reviews of several prospective dog-sitters. Rover referred about 6 people and Allison was the only one who responded with an offer. We met on the day before I was to leave town and agreed that she would provide house visits for 4 days. I received twice daily reports and photos and couldn't be more satisfied with (make that grateful to) Allison and Rover.

Allison is wonderful! We’ve had her check on our cats multiple times now and she always does such a great job. She even popped by a day early because I forgot to fill up my cats automatic feeders and one wasn’t going off. She’s a life saver for sure! I’d recommend her to anyone & everyone :)

Alora was an excellent sitter for my cat. She exemplified care, respect, and transparency while I was away. She sent notes and photos with her check ins, which were so fun to read and see. She swept up when my cat knocked over a plant, she kept his litter space tidy, and she gave him the love and play time he needed. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I would highly recommend her if you need someone to care for your pet.

I recently got a new pup, Lorelei, for myself and she's been healing up from prior surgery at the shelter. Ray has been phenomenal with caring for her and letting the pup be herself. She's also considerate in including our resident dog, Bristol, who's been really calm and has an assuring presence.

Nia did a great job taking care of our dog, Lulu. Nia was very good at communicating everything she observed and all the things she did while spending time with Lulu. She really paid attention to Lulu’s behavior and mood and her notes really let us know Lulu was in good hands.

Thank you Andrea for your attention to detail, great communication, timely check-ins with our pups and taking such good care of them while we were away. We enjoyed the many pictures and updates after each visit and the peace of mind they brought us! If you're available for our next family excursion we would love to book you again!

Lia and Alexzander were so great with our cat Grace. She normally does not like most people but I have lots of photos of them petting her and brushing her, so she obviously became very comfortable with them. They were awesome to do the things we needed done and faithfully communicated and sent us photos. I would very highly recommend them!

Brianna was amazing! She kept me updated every time she dropped in, sent plenty of pictures, and made sure I knew how everything was going while I was away. I really appreciated how reassuring and communicative she was! I’ll definitely be checking if she’s available first the next time I need a sitter.
