“Rachel was a wonderful sitter! She sent pictures every day and followed my instructions while I was away. I felt my little ones were in good hands in her care.”

“Megan was amazing!! She did drop in visits for us for the weekend and we were able to go on our trip worry free! She took care of both of our dogs and we would totally hire her again!”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a dog in my life. I have had many years of experience watching and taking care of mine and others dogs. I have watched my family’s and close friends dogs many times throughout the years. I have dog sitted and had multiple doggy sleepovers up to a month before. I have watched dogs as small as Chihuahuas all the way up to German Shepherds. There is no task I can’t handle! (: I can’t wait to meet your baby and becoming their new friend! I m currently unemployed and have more than most my time available for dog care. I spend most my time with my own dogs and or family members and friends. I have a great back yard where dogs can run around and feel safe. I am pretty minimal when it comes to furniture but do have plenty of room for dogs to lay around. I wash all couch covers twice a week, sweep & vacuum everyday, and mop as needed. I am very big on keeping poop cleaned up and making sure things are cleaned up regularly like toys or trash that might be out. Bathroom doors stay closed and cleaning supplies are locked up.
“I'm so grateful for Leah! She's taken such great care of my Tucker boy. Most appreciated Leah"s flexibility when travel plans change. I highly recommend her to care for you fur babies.🥰”

“Alora has been amazing with us and our puppy. Has been consistent, attentive, and supportive of our requests for our pup. Has always been in great communication and rapport! Definitely recommend her!”

“Elizabeth is very persistent and dedicated. Our Ava pup is a border collie and can be weary of new people coming to the house. Elizabeth was dedicated and after a few visits Ava felt comfortable. I would recommend Elizabeth’s services. She our pup lots of love.”

About: Although we are people who have had pets throughout our lives, we became official Rover sitters beginning in January 2025, and we love what we do. We love dogs. To us, home is where the dog is. Equally important, home is where we are. Most of the time, both of us are home with our doodle, Poppy, and when that isn’t happening one of us is here with her. Your dog won’t be left alone. We have loved, lived with, and raised everything from a 4 lb Chihuahua to a 60 lb Standard Poodle. Now we live with a 24 lb mini Doodle named Poppy. We give Poppy love, training, play, and routine. And treats! We play fetch with her daily, either in our huge yard where she has lots of running room, or in the pool. She loves pool fetch! She is family, and your fur kid will be treated the same way, like a member of our family. We generally board one or two dogs at one time. Three is rare but can happen if they are from one family or dogs we know are compatible. We love keeping dogs for daycare, and carefully consider each situation with pet safety as the priority. Aggressive dogs are not a good fit for us. We don’t accept pit bull terriers. We are retired. Your dog will not be left alone.* This works well with dogs with separation anxiety, but almost all dogs want a human companion close by. They are in a new place looking for reassurance. Your dog’s health and safety, and your peace of mind, are our top priority. Please let us know if you have any special requests, such as medication administration, or special pick up times. We have a flexible schedule to meet most needs and send daily photos and updates. *We did have a schedule issue once in this past year and left Poppy and a daycare guest alone for about half an hour. I did talk with the owner beforehand. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US: A knowledgeable and sensitive assessment of your dog’s needs followed by fast and appropriate responses. Before retirement, Water was an RN for 39 years, and her assessment skills and level of awareness are both excellent. John can tell you how impressed he was when she saved their Chihuahua with a modified Heimlich. He said he didn’t notice the Chi was choking until after Water removed the obstruction! We will notice and care for your dog’s needs. That’s how we care for Poppy and that’s how we will care for your fur baby.. WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU: Please provide food and treats (if you want us to give treats) for your dog to prevent stomach issues and allergies. Also, please include any medications. We do charge extra for medication administration. Please provide documentation of up to date vaccinations. ENVIRONMENT: We have an enormous fenced yard, and our guests are allowed to use the doggie door with outdoor supervision. They can nap on the shady patio, sniff along the fence line, or play with toys. Fetch and tug have been big hits, but there are visitors who seem to prefer exploring. The yard is safe and secure. John recently fenced off the ornamental cactus area of the yard to prevent possible injury. We provide structured outdoor playtime everyday, and furred guests are welcome in the pool with your permission, weather permitting, and canine desire. When we aren’t supervising the pool, the pool gate is locked. Fresh water is always available, both outside on the patio and in the house in the kitchen. Our home is air conditioned. Visitors are allowed on the furniture, unless you direct otherwise. We consider it a gift when a furry friend joins us for a cuddle on the couch. We have discovered that a rock yard can be too rough on paws for long playtimes. Some of our guests prefer their outside time to be spent on the covered patio!
About: I’ve been a dog whisperer since I was a child. I have had dogs (one or two at a time) my whole life. We lost our last dog last year and don’t want the long term commitment of a new dog at this stage in our lives, but would love to take care of other people’s dogs. It is just myself and my husband in our household. I work from home part-time and if there are days that I would be showing property (realtor) I would not schedule a Rover sitting job. Also, I babysit a small child every Wednesday and Thursday. I have a fully fenced yard and no other dogs. I have no problem having dogs stay inside my home. I am happy to go to the client’s home as well.

“This was my first time using Rover, and I was able to read about and select a caregiver suited for my needs. Liz and her daughter were awesome. Came in advance to meet the pets, asked the right questions and were professional. As far as theactual service, Liz told me exactly when she came, what was happening with my pets and took some great photos. I would definitely use Liz again!!!”
“This was our second time booking Allison, and she was great! She was very attentive to our needs and requests, quick and clear communicator, and very easy to work with. Our puppy loves her! Will definitely work with her again!”

“Allison was amazing she went above and beyond to take care of my pup which in turn made my trip better and took care of me. She was very thoughtful and kind with my pup and considerate she took such good care of him I am extremely happy thank you so much Allison.”

About: I've had all sorts of pets my entire life, but almost always at least one dog. I spent years volunteering at a pet store in high school. I also have a degree in Biology, focusing on animal behavior and wildlife science. I spent a great year after college volunteering at a dog rescue. I have a very flexible work-from-home job. I have one set meeting everyday, but am almost always available to step out and take care of anything that I need to. I have a fenced yard with a doggy door. I have two dogs with very different personalities; one is happy and playful, the other is older and just likes to relax. They've made me good at meeting different pets' needs. I always try to make them feel happy, safe, and loved!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and began caring for others pets to supplement my education and journalism career. Caring for dogs helps me feel grounded! I’m currently working remote and freelance writing from Tucson so I can be flexible with your pet care needs. I can travel throughout Pima County. I make sure to ask a lot of questions, know your dogs needs and routine before any commitment. I want to ensure it’s a good fit for everyone.
“Kat was amazing. She came through for us in a time crunch and was very flexible with our schedule. Blue took to her very quickly. We will absolutely use her again for our future trips. Thank you Kat for everything. We truly appreciate you.”
“Kendall is amazing! She is so full of energy and easy to get in touch with. It is so clear to see how much care she takes in every aspect of her life. Bonnie was very happy when I came home, I could tell she was well cared for :)”

“Kaylee was terrific with my pups. I was at total ease knowing she will take care of our dogs. She sent pictures every time she was at the house. Emma and Jersey had big smiles on their faces and tongues hanging out so I knew they were being played with! Thank you Kaylee. I do wish we lived closer for you. You are great. I would recommend Kaylee highly!!”

Allie was an absolute ROCKSTAR !! My two Jack Russells immediately bonded with her and felt at ease right away. She handled their complex feeding schedule perfectly and took very good care of my house and back yard as well (she even fed the birds and squirrels that typically drop in). Allie was fantastic about sending texts and pictures every visit to assure me that everything was under control. She played with the pups regularly and cleaned up after them as needed (I think my dogs miss her). I would highly recommend Allie to anyone that wanted a responsible, attentive sitter. Just don't hire her when I need her next ! I was very impressed. Clayton M.

I've been lucky to have across my street a troop of six siblings over almost 20 years who at the drop of the hat have been ready to care for my three Dobies when I go out of town. My luck ran out this week and last Tuesday Rover at the drop of the hat and on a wing and a prayer, scanned the reviews of several prospective dog-sitters. Rover referred about 6 people and Allison was the only one who responded with an offer. We met on the day before I was to leave town and agreed that she would provide house visits for 4 days. I received twice daily reports and photos and couldn't be more satisfied with (make that grateful to) Allison and Rover.

I recently got a new pup, Lorelei, for myself and she's been healing up from prior surgery at the shelter. Ray has been phenomenal with caring for her and letting the pup be herself. She's also considerate in including our resident dog, Bristol, who's been really calm and has an assuring presence.

Nia did a great job taking care of our dog, Lulu. Nia was very good at communicating everything she observed and all the things she did while spending time with Lulu. She really paid attention to Lulu’s behavior and mood and her notes really let us know Lulu was in good hands.

Thank you Andrea for your attention to detail, great communication, timely check-ins with our pups and taking such good care of them while we were away. We enjoyed the many pictures and updates after each visit and the peace of mind they brought us! If you're available for our next family excursion we would love to book you again!

Lia and Alexzander were so great with our cat Grace. She normally does not like most people but I have lots of photos of them petting her and brushing her, so she obviously became very comfortable with them. They were awesome to do the things we needed done and faithfully communicated and sent us photos. I would very highly recommend them!

Brianna was amazing! She kept me updated every time she dropped in, sent plenty of pictures, and made sure I knew how everything was going while I was away. I really appreciated how reassuring and communicative she was! I’ll definitely be checking if she’s available first the next time I need a sitter.
