“Berenice was great with both of my dogs! She was able to walk them on short notice and quick to respond to messages. Would be happy to use her again in the future!”

“I have had my sweet little dog for over 15 years. No one has walked her except for family members and the people at doggy daycare. She is also deaf and partially blind. So I was extremely nervous to have somebody else walk her. But this was perfect! Leandrea did a great job with Jolie! She was on time, didn’t mind Jolie dragging her around the condo building several times, and give her kisses. It was wonderful to hear and to see Jolie happy and excited in all the pictures.”

About: No kids or pets of my own and a big Jeep means my outdoorsy lifestyle is open and flexible for your fur babies. I'm experienced with dogs from all walks of life. You name it, I'm down for it. I have confident experience with reactive dogs and big breeds especially. I'm a part time barista, working mostly evenings, so morning and mid-day walks work best for me. I am available for night walks after work as well, if that works for your schedule. Weekend boarding is best with advance notice, as I occasionally pick up Friday and Saturday shifts at the coffee shop. I live on the second floor with access to a fenced in backyard. Hardwood floors in home. No kids or other pets of my own. I do have houseplants if your dog is sensitive to soils, fungus, or has a history of plant eating. Crating is an option I'm comfortable with if that's what helps your furry friend feel safe, though my ideal set up is to share my whole space and enriching lifestyle with your pup, or to visit them in their home where they're already comfortable. I'm mobile with the Jeep as well, so we don't have to stick to my neighborhood if your dog is reactive and needs some extra space.
“Tanya took care of my two dogs while I was out. She is simply amazing. Excellent communication and reliable. She is clearly a lover of all animals and treated my dogs like she’s known them forever. Will definitely book again”

“Angela took such good care of our boys! She was on time, a great communicator and sent awesome photos! Would highly recommend her for your pet’s care needs!”

About: CURRENT CLIENTS: If calendar shows us as unavailable during your potential stay, please still reach out. We may still be able to accommodate your pup. As former pet parents, we understand that your pets are an extension of your family. We will care for your pup like we would want our former pups to be cared for while we were away. We love having dogs around but currently don't have one of our own. We also will only sit dogs from one family at a time. Therefore, we are a perfect choice for those pups who like to be the center of attention. We currently work away from the home three days a week. Typically, these days are Tuesday - Thursday, but can be adjusted when we are sitting a pup that is not used to being home alone during the day or for first time clients. About the Home: We live in a single-family home in the Bay View neighborhood. The home has a partially fenced-in yard and is air conditioned with several windows for animals to look out of when not outside. We also have a deck where we spend most days (weather permitting) that has a gate so the dogs can be out there lounging with out. Dogs can roam freely in the house while we are away if that is what they are accustomed to that. Our home is tri-level with many stairs, so it may not be a good fit for dogs that don't do stairs well. Our neighbors also have dogs so if your dog isn't good with seeing dogs through a barrier such as a fence, we may not be a good fit. During your dogs stay, we will work to provide the same rules and training that you enforce in your home, ie walking habits, allowed on furniture, treats, etc. We do not allow dogs on our bed, so if they are accustomed to sleeping in the bed, we are not the best fit for your pup. Before taking on a new client, we will require a meet and greet to ensure both you and we (and your pup) are comfortable. This will also give us a chance to discuss any questions or concerns that either party has, to see the house, and let me know what concerns you have or things we should look out for. We ask that all dog parents be as honest as possible about their pup and how they have previously responded to being in an unfamiliar place or any other info that would be helpful for me to know while they are under my care. The more we know about your dog and their quirks the better we can take care of them. The best sits we've had are ones where the owners provide detailed information on their pup's habits and quirks. We work outside of the home three days a week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Our days at home can be adjusted, if needed. We are early risers and will have plenty of time to spend time with your pup before and afterwork on the days we work outside of the home. For other days, your pup will get plenty of play time and the walks that they are used to. We treat the pets we care for just like we would if they were our own. We understand that someone's pet is an extension of their family.
“Harper was great! She knew how to handle my pittie/boxer mix, who can be a handful. She was very thorough, giving me updates and pics during and after the visit. My doggo loved her and I will definitely rebook!”

About: I have worked fully remote for 10 years now which has given me the opportunity to devote lots of time to my own dog as well as friends and family! Experience in senior care and medications including oral and injection. Being home every day gives me lots of time for potty breaks, walks and treats. I have a dog of my own, Fern, who is a sweet and mellow 12 yo Bichon Frise. I also live blocks from the lakefront in a very dog friendly part of Bay View! I have staked leashes in both the front and back yard and am always closely supervising potty breaks and time outside. I also have a pet camera so I’m able to monitor when I’m not home for a couple hours.
“Neida came promptly for her dog walk with Josie. She provided pictures and a note about about how the visit went. I look forward to her xo tuning to come on a regular basis.”

During my time on Rover, I have cared for dozens of clients in various types of bookings. I'm not afraid to roll around in the grass if that means your dog is happy. I am also friendly with other pets, including cats or birds. I hope you pick me to care for your fur babies :) I currently work 8-4 Mon-Friday and will generally be unavailable during those hours. My schedule can ve flexible, so if you need someone for a lunchtime drop in, it’s possible I can make that happen. I can do really early morning visits or anytime after work. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bay View
Dana has been fantastic to work with and has taken great care of my dog, Vincent! She is thorough, attentive to details, and always sends reliable updates during/after her visits. She is also very responsive and flexible whenever last-minute schedule changes come up, which I really appreciate. Vincent and I would highly recommend Dana to anyone in the Milwaukee and Third Ward area looking for a reliable, trustworthy person to care for their pet!

This is the third time we have had Emily come help take care of our dog and I have nothing but great things to share. She is always on time, sends great pictures, but most importantly I know that she is attentive to our dog and her needs. For example, a few weeks ago, Emily watched our dog for a weekend when we were out of town. At that time, I gave instructions to let the dog out in the backyard before going on the first walk of the day because our dog always has a few zoomies first thing in the morning and it will make the walk smoother. When she came to do an AM walk this time, she remembered about the zoomies and let our dog out back for a few minutes before heading out. I hadn’t remembered to remind Emily of that, so it felt great knowing that she took initiative and catered to our dog’s specific habits/needs. Additionally, I had a neighbor share (unprompted) that they noticed how wonderful the interactions were between Emily and our dog. They said that they heard Emily talking to our dog when they were together and really focused on her, not just going through the movements of taking a dog for a walk. I will continue to book Emily and can confidently recommend her.

Steven was fantastic! As a first-time dog owner, I’ve never left my puppy alone or with anyone else until now, so this was a big step for me. I’m so grateful to have found someone I (and Moose!) trust and feel comfortable with. He took great care of Moose, and it definitely showed - Moose is happy and completely worn out after the day. Thank you for taking such good care of him!
